My son was in a accident and had to be taken to hospital and guys came and towed truck , called them they let us know what information they needed , payed fee and had truck towed to another location. You can be the owner and still wont let allow you to see your car, and inorder to see your car you have to be on hold for hour thats if they even answer. This was the worst encounter with any business that I have had to deal with. I got into an accident, and this is where it got towed. I called beforehand to let the guy, his name is Bobby Phillips Jr., know that I was coming. With that in mind, when I got there, nobody was there to help me. I called and they said they would be there soon, but 45min later they finally showed up. I had worked out that I was going to have my car bought by a parts place rather than having him take it off my hands for pretty much $100 because he said he would waive some fees and then I would hand him the title. I think this frustrated him because he sells the vehicles to the place that I was selling my car to directly, so I essentially cut out the middleman and he wanted to make more profit off of me. From the minute I started talking to him, he treated me horribly. I think people like him prey on people who are vulnerable after such a devastating life event such as getting into an accident and having their car get totaled. He wouldn't let me get the stuff out of my car because he wanted to charge me more because then he would have to "wait for me and waste his time". Because of his cheap business method of not having an attendant there, he is able to make an excuse to charge more. I thought this was wild, and I said "Would you be willing to help me out with this?". This is when he absolutely freaked out on me. The guy started yelling, causing a scene and tried to make me feel bad for asking why he would charge me instead of just helping me out. He said he was already helping me out by giving me a 'discount' (Which he didn't, he overcharged me as I explain later). We walked into his office, and he started filling out the paperwork, still yelling at me and saying I should "really think about what you say". Then he told me that it was cash only (very sketchy) and I don't carry $300 of cash on me. He told me that I had 15min to find the money or he would leave and I wouldn't be able to get my car. Luckily, I was able to get back in the time frame. I started getting the items out of my car after I paid the whopping $294 (Which he didn't have change but wants to run a cash-only operation). I also couldn't get any assistance from my friend who came with and he couldn't drive into the lot for liability reasons, so I was walking back and forth from my car to my friend's frantically because the guy said to "make it quick". After I was almost done, he started to close the gate on me and I said I still had items to get, specifically my $400 CarPlay that I installed and needed to get it out. He said I couldn't use a screwdriver to get it out because "people have tried to sue him because they hurt themselves while using a tool on his property". After it was all said and done, I got a $50 notification letter in the mail that I was forced to pay, and I should've gotten charged $35 less. He decided to make up his own numbers and charge me what he wanted. The towing business is a complete scam. Unfortunately, I had no option but to go with this company because when I got in a car accident, the cop handed me the business card of this company and told me this is where it was going. It is interesting that this is where the cops would have me go considering how awful this place has been rated and the bad experiences everyone else has had. Seems a little suspicious. I could see the possibility of him paying the cops under the table with his cash to refer people to him. This is speculation, but it honestly doesn't seem farfetched. Overall, something needs to be done about this business. This guy is running a totally sketchy operation, and no business should be running like this. I almost want to take further action against him, but it really wouldn't be worth the headache. I think he understands this, and it really is just a bad situation that is fairly unavoidable. read more

My truck was towed here after a bad accident. The owner would not let me take pictures of the damage. How can you deny the owner of the damaged truck to take pictures. My lawyer says he can't. I came by the lot a few days later and the gate was locked during posted "open hours". I called the number posted and no one answered, so I left a message. I waited for another 45 minutes and no one returned my call. Here it is 2 days later and still no return call. I will have to just show up at the yard and hope to catch the gate open. I don't understand how the police would work with a company with such disregard for the public. read more

Rudest storage lot manager bobby phillips, Receives 1 star due to fact I cant put negative star for him being a rude ass..... When your grandmothers car is involved in a minor wreck. Towed to there lot in deer park. Told grandmother it would be ok to pick up car and bring home after payment anytime today within 1 hr time slot. On arrival, meet and greet with bobby phillips, he tells family they can not go in gate, can not get car, can not look at car, and will have to pay them too get car out too parking lot. Or wait till monday and get our own wrecker to tow into parking lot and then load on trailer. TDLR rules state 24 hr intake has to release 24 hrs outtake. And with legal proof of ownership and insurance the car has to be released. Which was provided on site today as well. NO STAR NEEDED FOR THIS TRASH COMPANY.... read more

I would not recommend if you don't have to deal with this company, poor customer service. Took three days to get him to go to the car lot, drove an hour to get there and he would not let us in because I had my insurance on my phone. Would not work with me at all. Very rude and inconsiderate. Nobody stays at the car lot in the office so you have to call him when you get to the lot (if he answers) then you have to wait on him to drive to the car lot. One star is too much to give the owner of this Towing Company. He does not answer phone calls and when he does he is rude, no manners at all. We waited over a half for him to call us back while we were waiting by the gate by the time that he answer it was too late and we came back home. No apology was given. The next day we waited by the gate another hour and finally when he answered he said" this is a very busy company you are not my only client". How are they open? Yuck. No one is there, you have to call and sit for an hour... then when they get there they have the AUDACITY to have rules. Won't allow you in the gate in a vehicle to swap items from one car to another so you're walking back & forth alone (no one can help you) . I have NEVER been so stressed out in my life since my last major life issue. My gosh. So I get in an accident, and they tow my car to the impound. My first accident and first time being in the impound. Okay, so the only issue that happened with my car was that it was dented on the side. I was hit on the driver almost exactly in between both doors.. So The car was still able to drive since it was an older model, built like a tank. I wanted to get my car out, and he stated that I couldn't drive it since it was "unsafe to drive". Okay. I'm sorry, but how are bent, locked doors and broken windows unsafe to drive? The doors won't even open, and broken windows is no different than your window being down. All my lights work fine. The car turns on like it's supposed to. The damage is more-so cosmetic. Okay, so we have to get the car towed out. That's fine and all, but Triple A is not certified to tow the car off the lot. EXCUSE ME!? DA F*** you mean!? Okay... So whatever. I go to get stuff out the car. I'm able to get everything except my friend's speakers. I had them in the trunk. Think of a sub-woofer in size comparison. Okay, he said I couldn't take those since they were considered part of the car. There is no proof of a sub-woofer connected to my car. No amplifier, audio cables, absolutely nothing. No drilling or anything. How were those speakers "part of the car"? Okay, so the only way to get my stuff now is to either pay to take it off the lot (Don't know how since Triple A isn't certified) or have the insurance company give him some "release". Well the insurance company won't be going since damages aren't covered. My gosh!! He has made my first accident one of the worst experiences in my life. I don't suggest you let this towing company tow you. You will have HAIL, and I mean HAIL trying to get your vehicle out. I thought they would be a good company since they offered a 24 hour service. My car was promptly delivered to the auto repair shop of my choice (Auto Line of America). His price was reasonable and fair. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND PHILLIPS TOWING & RECOVERY IN DEER PARK TX. They towed my car 2 months ago damaged my tire beyond repair. I have politely called over the last 2 months asking for only a refund for the tow, not for the tire that had to be replaced and am continually told to call back for Bob, whom will not take my calls or call me back. I was actually hung up on today by the gentleman who takes the calls. It's a shame that there is no obligation to responsibility or integrity at that place of business. read more
