At first I wasn't gonna let this bother me but I have to tell the truth about my experience with this shop..It's not a good one. I went to this shop bc they were refer to me..Found out it's a very respectable shop..In all my 35 yrs experience in the Automotive field..Owning a Shop! Also being a Shop Forman over 15 yrs ..So I know a SCAM when I see one! I took my car down there with one code to be fix to pass the Emission test PO118 which is a coolant sensor ..These people had my car for 4 weeks ..I was constantly calling and going to the shop to see why so long! This shop said it's was a couple of more codes to clear..I was shock when they said that bc I just came from a Creditable Shop down the street "Express Oil change" they sent me to them "A Automotive" Now How do they come up with 3 more codes. THEY PUT IN A FUEL INJECTOR PUMP!.. Who in the CARNATION would put a fuel injector pump and charge you $350. And you didn't need it! $120 for an oxygen sensor. My bill came over &900..WHY WOULD THEY DO THAT TO ME..They didn't even call to tell me before they did anything..I know with a charge that big the should have contacted the customer .. Lesson learn!..that was the biggest mistake I have ever made! It's SAD!..Why would people do that! Locust grove is a nice place! "NO NEED FOR CROOKS " to contaminate our community! That business was recommended to me by my boss and know a lot of people that come here for work but I will make sure to inform them of the service I received. I'm sure a lot of it has to do with me being a female and they thought they could get over on me. I got new breaks and rotors put on, the next day I can back because of a loud noise I heard and knew something was wrong with the front driver brake, the mechanic told me there was a spring left in and it had created a divot and he said it was fine, I asked him to please replace the entire rotor and he got annoyed with me and then put my lug nuts on so tight that when I went to get my tires rotated they broke. Not honest work performed here and they do not like being held accountable. Unless you want to throw money down the toilet I do NOT recommend this place at all!!!! read more

Every time I need ANY work done to my car, my first thought is to bring it to A+ Plus Automotive! One time in particular, I brought my car there at the end of the day because my engine light was on, but they were very busy. I went somewhere else because I was in a hurry. Unfortunately, the other place that I went to was subpar. The place I went to hnad employees who were not very knowledgeable and were very expensive. Driving from Nashville to St. Petersburg, 2013 Mercedes ML350 diesel experienced engine issues and had to be towed to their shop. I was fearing the worst with the normal high cost of Mercedes repair and being in an unfamiliar area, unsure if their techs were familiar with fixing foreign cars (also unique diesel engine). Generally, I've had to take it to foreign-car specific repair shops. The lot was full of cars to fix, but they prioritized my repair given that we were stranded in the middle of our trip, fitting me in after a few scheduled repairs. They did an AMAZING job fixing it in only a few hours and at a fraction of the normal repair cost. start out by saying management is nice and pleasant to talk to. i took my 96 Camry here to have it worked on. i asked them to repair it to the point it would pass emissions and repair whatever was causing the check engine light to be on. owner promised my car back by thursday morning. it was not ready until friday afternoon. they had got it to pass emissions however as soon as i left the parking lot the check engine light came right back on. had it checked at AutoZone and it was something that simply needed to be cleaned. i look at my receipt from A+ and that is one of the parts they said they cleaned. highly disappointed with the service. will not be back here anytime soon. name is A+ but would grade it a F. read more

I took my car there Saturday to have air conditioner serviced. They quoted me $115, which I thought was too high, so I told them I didn't have the money this week. They proceeded to look under the hood to see if they saw any visible problems, and the mechanic was flashing his light at my radiator, and said my compressor had oil in it and said that would cost $300. I may be a woman, but I do know the difference between the radiator and compressor. I would definitely NOT recommend going to these guys. read more

My girlfriend went and bought a car here without me even knowing. She's a first time buyer and im sure these people could sense that and they took advantage of that. She end up walking out that place with a 2001 ford focus for 9000 and something plus a 28% APR. the total end up being around 11,900 for a car worth only around 3.2k based on edmunds and kelly blue book. These people were dumb enough to leave a contract from the previous owner in the glove box, that contract was only 6,000$ and the car was in a newer condition for how ever long they had it before they got rid of it. They told her they would fix anything that she needed on it... I fucking bet... When you can buy damn near 4 of those cars the price your ripped her into. The warranty said as is, which just leads me to believe they only wanted to pass the 3 day business mark for her to take it back before they told her theyre not fixing anymore if it was the slightest bit expensive. Then when they sold it they knew the pcv valve was bad cause a check engine light. The car had a really rough idle almost to a stall point. They said they replaced it... Which they didnt because i changed it. All they did was change a damn hose to it... The engine code reads pcv valve and hose... If they were even the slightest bit savy with cars they would know it wasnt the damn hose. Its almost never a hose. The pcv valve was a 7$ fix and i have pictures showing it all gunked up after they said they replaced it. On top that they wanted 11,900 for a car with a window with a broken regulator and a huge coolant leak on the back side of the engine and a broken stabilizer rod on the passenger side. When i read the contract two days later i said hell no take it back, so she calls and the guy on the phone says ohhh it was a mistake... Yeah right. Aint no way that a car dealership is gonna make a mistake on stuff like that... Printed on multiple pages of the contract. They probably just thought we would never catch on. I told her you think they would have caught a mistake if they made it underpricing the vehicle? Hell no. These people know what they're doing. So i couldnt go with her to make her take it all the way back... she does take it back and he takes 6,000$ off of i so of course she keeps it she loves it, but he includes no APR page in the contract this time. But its my girlfriend first car and she doesnt care if she pays a little bit more... So im just like whatever at this point. just over a month later the damn car wont even start, i check the spark, fuel, and air. Then when i get to compression i remember the damn coolant leak...when we try to start it it sucks coolant out. It overfills the oil and drips down the back of the motor in a clearly light green coolant color, the sparks also kept being flooded with gas. So just over a month and that kind of problem is there kind of makes me think these people knew about it. So after talking to my dad and my research we come to a conclusion that the car either had a shitty head gasket replacement that they did not to long ago or a crack in the engine block, or some seal in the engine which would be major dollars. Anyways... Alongside the horrible state the car was in... My girlfriend goes to call and return it and DAVID says "oh what you cant make the payments anymore".and some other smart shit. So we leave the car dead in the driveway and tell the jack asses to come get it.... Horrible service, horrible car. They claim they dont sell cars when we report them to BBB but we have a bill of sale with a+ plus automotives address and david sextons name initialed everywhere. read more
