They doubled the cost of the lock compared to what I could pay for it retail. When I questioned the cost they were unwilling to charge a fair price. They said they could have repaired the old lock for much less but never offered that choice when they came out! We all work hard for our companies to keep our profit to a reasonable level. Henry initially changed the locks on a house I had just purchased in Healdsburg 4 years ago. A couple of years ago, one of the door knobs fell right off and he came over and fixed it within a couple minutes at no charge. He said it's the changes in the weather that cause the knobst to loosen and fall off. Today one fell off again, he came, it took him 2 minutes, if not less, on that door knob. All he did was position it back on (20 seconds) and screw the two screws in. He tested two other doors to make sure they were tight and did nothing to them. He charged $85 for perhaps four minutes work. I am about a mile and a half from his work address which is where he was when I called. I thought he was kidding when he said $85. That was very unreasonable and I feel taken advantahe of. I would not recommend them for that reason. read more
