Everything was fine until I arrived home and noticed my invoice and receipt showed two different totals. It is illegal in the State of CA. to charge a surcharge on a credit card; look it up online! I worked for a credit card company for about a year so I know this is not legal. I spent $220, they charged me almost a $7 surcharge for using a credit card. No formal PRINTED disclosure on the invoice or receipt, and NO DISCLOSURE before I used the card. Just some funky hand-written circle on the front of the invoice that had the last 4 digits of my credit card number, a new amount, and a cryptic W/CC Fee - WTF! Think about how much they rob customers each day with this little game. read more

I was directed to this wonderful local business by an employee at Lowe's because they didn't carry the type of car key that I needed. My son had just bought a car, and the two keys that were provided were so heavily worn that they didn't work in the door locks anymore. Thomas Martin, the Automotive Specialist, met me at the counter, so I knew I was in good hands. He forewarned me that the lock might be too worn to yield a good copy but said he would give it his best effort. Within 15 minutes, he was able to grind two perfect copies from the originals for under $10. The next day, my son accidentally used the key to MY car to try to start his own car. These people absolutely Rock!! I went by their new location on Redwood Drive (in the Walmart parking lot). When I walked in I was greeted and informed that they were not open yet but were expected to be open by Monday. I was given their current location on Commerce. I was more than happy to go by there but asked real quickly if they could make this certain key for me. Dave came out and said yes and that he would make it right then. I didn't want to inconvenience him so I told him it was fine and that I would go to their other location. Dave said he had his mobile vehicle so would do it right then! This made my day. On a Tuesday morning, they serviced the locks at my daughter's business, Supportive Steps Servicez. The technician was professional and efficient. Later that day, after my 35-foot travel trailer was stolen in June and recovered, I needed all the locks replaced. I called Redwood Locksmith again and spoke with Sara, who coordinated with Dave. They generously allowed me to leave my trailer on their property overnight and took care of it first thing Wednesday morning. When I couldn't get a tow service in time, Dave even offered to tow my trailer to storage with his personal vehicle for a much more reasonable price.
