I have used this service for 3 of my kids, but I won't be using it for my last two teenagers to get their drivers license. A Plus Safety was fine when I used them for my oldest two children about 10 years ago, but when I tried to have my third child complete his driver's training with them it was a nightmare. First, I called ahead of time and explained that my son dealt with extreme anxiety and was also very quiet. I asked if there was a driver training teacher that could handle driving with someone who was very anxious. They assured me that they had a "couple" of drivers training teachers that would do well with a student driver who had anxiety. I scheduled the appointment, and the first drivers training went ok, but not great. She did tell me that he was very anxious and barely spoke to her, and I reminded her that I had mentioned that when I called to make the appointment. She said he needed a lot of direction and help as he was driving. Well, duh! It was his first time ever driving a car!! We practiced for a few months driving, and then I called to schedule his 2nd appointment. I reminded them AGAIN that he needs someone sympathetic to his anxiety and quiet demeanor. I brought him to his 2nd driver's training lesson and when I came to pick him up I could tell he was upset. I asked the "trainer" how it went and this grumpy old man told me that my son was "way too quiet", didn't follow directions, and "wasn't ready to be driving". He went into a tirade about all the mistakes he made during the lesson. My son immediately broke down in tears when we left, and told me that the man was yelling at him in the car, didn't give clear directions, and had him driving downtown for most of the lesson but wasn't giving reminders about things like one way streets. Hello! YOU are the teacher here! I felt like this man just sat in the car and expected my son to do all the work with no help or direction. No clear communication was used! I was so pissed, but for some reason felt obliged to still schedule our 3rd (and last) appointment for his driver training. (Looking back on it now, I should have just gone with a different driver training school for the last lesson). Anyhow, when I called to make the appointment, I made sure to request that the man who took him on the 2nd driver's lesson NOT take him on the 3rd. He did have an "ok" experience the 3rd lesson with a different teacher, but again, we were told he wasn't ready for the driver's test. I felt as if these driving "trainers" did absolutely next to nothing. And....I am happy to report that a few weeks later my son DID pass his driver's test on the first try with flying colors! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They did not help my son build any confidence in his driving, and they didn't teach him a damn thing! I am scheduling my fourth child for his driver's training, and I am looking elsewhere. read more

I have done my BLS CPR classes here since 2019 and have always felt that they really know their stuff. When I called to sign up for my class they asked if I had the book or if I knew anyone with one. When I told them I had an older one they reminded me that things had changed and I would need to get a new book. They told me that I could get one from them or Amazon and just how much it would be. They were very helpful and I would tell anyone to take their classes. read more

I will not be coming in this place unless I absolutely have too I do not recommend this place. The lady at the front desk has absolutely no customer service skills at all. The driving instructor which is an older lady and is completely oblivious that anyone besides herself exsists and is conducting her business all over the whole front counter right in everyone's way when it should be being done aside from right at where the line is supposed to be it's no where you want to be. save your sanity go to Anderson it's well worth the drive. read more

extremely rude on the phone, I was having trouble with a online course my home computer was down and was using my phone. They made fun of me and were extremely rude! I'm a local business owner and recommend this course for years I absolutely do not! when I said I was needing to speak with the owner I was told the owner was her mom lol and there was nothing I could do. I have my license now, so I can let my opinion be well known. I opted for their 3 2 hour lessons, every time having someone different. My first Lady was a absolute pain, in terms of instruction for driving she was totally fine, but for someone to drive with, complete hell, it would be dead silent in the car and all you would hear is her audible slurping on a hard candy for 2 whole hours. My second lady was perfectly fine and honestly my favorite, nothing to complain about her. My last one was a guy(something along the lines of jack i think), and honestly the worst experience I ever had driving, not only did he visibly get angrier when I told him I did my drivers ed through online and not through them, on our way back to the school he was reading out my previous driving scores, and I quote he said, "your last driving instructors must've felt sorry for you based on some of these scores" and "you know what to do in front of lights right" , not only was that completely rude and unjustified, but also degraded me as I'm driving. Now to be completely honest if I were to send a kid to a driving school, I would just choose Nora's in anderson, they're far cheaper, I've heard so many better things from them, and they'll even pick you up from your home. read more

My experience here was very poor, I have been a customer for years and the last time I used them they were extremely rude! When I asked to speak with the owner I was told it was the managers mom and I wouldn't get any help. I have owned a small business for 15 years and found great success and pride myself on customer service. Nothing about this place stands out to me and the class can be taken anywhere I paid so now I must do the class but I recommend going elsewhere. The facility is very low budget and seems unprofessional at best. There is a bad attitude and that typically comes from upper management because it's a small community the idea is they can be rude to people and nothing can be done, Not reality in fact lots can be done! It starts here with a honest review I will be outspoken about how poor I was treated here and never give up the fight! Go somewhere els and maybe in time the attitude here will change. I am finally getting around to writing this review. My five star rating is not from one or two experiences, but rather six years of services. Our child care business, Burruss Family Child Care, uses A Plus Safety for our pediatric first aid/CPR needs, our health and safety course, water safety course, and more. At a personal level, all my children go there for drivers training. Everyone that I deal with is organized, professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. I really enjoyed my CPR and AED class, I also took a babysitting class. The instructor was nice and was clearly experienced. They had lots of mannequins to practice on and they handed out resources as papers to help us. The reason for 4 stars is that the floor was a little dirty and some people in the class just talked and the teacher didn't do much about it when they were clearly interrupting the class. read more

I highly recommend A Plus Safety in Redding, CA. My daughter had started with another driving school and felt very uncomfortable, so I did some research and transferred her to A Plus Driving School. We could not have been more satisfied with the customer service from Amy, in the office, and the driving instructors were awesome with my daughter. She felt comfortable and learned so much, they provided her were information and she is ready to take her touch. read more

When you call to ask if the book is included and the lady says, "no we don't provide the book anymore. Usually people just borrow a friend's or use theirs from a previous course they took". She NEVER said it had to be the latest edition, 2016. If she would have said "no we don't provided it and you will need to purchase the latest edition", I would have purchased the latest edition. That is not what she said. I took CPR in 2014 (with another company). I showed up for the class with an older CPR book and they wouldn't let me take the class because it wasn't the latest reversion. Not from Redding, not able to come back to another class anytime soon. The lady proceeded to tell me that's not what I was told, even though it was, so essentially she was calling me a liar. Talked to the owner to try and explain what happened but she refused to give me my money back because "I paid online". I'm a college student, strapped for money and not from the area, but I'm going to take CPR through another company and just eat the $50. I would NEVER take a course here. read more
