First experience here. Similar to another reviewer, my car's emissions passed easily but the mechanic "discovered" a piece of tape on a ventilation hose, claimed the hose was "cracked" and elected to fail the vehicle. It'll be an additional $99 for new parts and to retest. What is concerning to me is this hose was replaced within the last 3 years, and I honestly have never seen tape on it before. Suspicious to shameful. Recommend taking a photo of your motor prior to taking your chances with this business. read more

Fantastic service!! I called the shop 7 minutes before closing time (from San Marcos!). I hate being a problem customer but I was in a difficult situation with my truck and had to get a smog test STAT. She stayed open almost an hour after closing and took great care of me and my old truck. Oh! Also the first time I came here, I found a discount somehow, and this time I showed her the receipt and she gave me the same price, and said she'll continue to honor the discount every time I come in the future. Small station/garage does the trick. The Owner or employee is very informative in the smog test report, payments depending on year and car, makes you feel comfortable in understanding and to ask any questions without a doubt. I had the best Smog Check experience at this place! * I called before hand and the owner actually picked up.. on the 2nd ring non the less! * She politely informed me that day was booked and made an appointment for me the next day * She gave me great directions to find the location * She took my car in 10 minutes early and had me out the door less than 40 minutes later * And I got 10 Bux off! I was soooo dreading getting my smog checked - I didn't want to pay for it, I didn't want to drive to it, I didn't want to wait for it - but all in all this was such a pain free experience.
