Nick, on the other hand, responded quickly and was able to stop by for an estimate that same day. When Nick arrived, he was pleasant, courteous, and professional. He quoted me a very fair, competitive price for the work I needed and gave me several options to stay within my budget. I didn't feel pressured at all and agreed to give Veteran's Construction and Repair my business. Nick started work the next day, showing up with everything he needed. He worked tirelessly for a total of three days, patiently perfecting the drywall in my bathroom. Dustin was hired by my 86 year old mother to repair and refinish our driveway on March 2, 2023. The job was finished April 2nd and he was paid in full. Immediately after the job was finished, we saw discoloration in the concrete, imprints in the driveway from his equipment and cracking and chipping off the new concrete. Plus the "textured finish" that he did was inconsistent, in texture and color, and did not look good. I reached out to Dustin (April 10) via the phone and texting with photos of the problem areas. He admitted that the job was not done right, and said it looked, in his words "awful". He said he would come out and fix it. From that point forward it would take weeks for Dustin to respond to calls/texts, he would have excuse after excuse as to why he couldn't come out, but always promised that he would make it right. He finally came out a month and a half later (May 30) to look at the job himself, agreeing that it was not done right, admitted it was his fault and that it looked bad. He said he would repair the areas, and re-coat the entire driveway. A month later (June 23) he came out, alone, to try make the repairs and redo the job. After working for a couple of hours, he said he could not do the job alone and needed to wait until he had some help. A week later (June 30) he came out with a helper to make the repairs and re-coat the driveway....he did not finish the work due to the heat and claimed he would be back...that was the last we heard from him. Even after numerous calls and texts Dustin has refused to answer, and the job is not done right. As of today July 27th we have not heard from Dustin, he even left equipment and supplies here but has not come back to collect them, our job is not done and our driveway looks awful.
