They are busy and you might have to wait a bit for Brandon and his team to start the job but the wait is worth it. Once they begin on the job they stay with it each weekday until it is done. This is so much better than a contractor who starts the job then rushes off to start somewhere else. I had all new hardwood floors put in with new tile in the bathrooms. They also removed a tub/shower combo and installed a beautiful floor to ceiling walk in tile shower. There were challenges, some subfloor needed replaced, me asking a thousand questions a day, but the guys took it all in stride and kept the work moving. Their workmanship is fantastic, the floors are the nicest part of our house now. I will definitely call Brandon when we have another project to do.

Had some problems up front with a project manager that didn't want to fix warranty issues. From the beginning we had a massive rain water problem in the back yard. The project manager was suppose to fix it under the original contract. But didn't and we fought the issue for 7 years. When we contacted the project manager(won't mention names), all he wanted to do was put a band-aide on the problem. So we declined his new idea. Fast forward to a couple months ago(7 years after purchase date), I decided to go all out and find out why the system the project manager put in didn't work as it should. I found out the job was completely botched and there was no way for water to escape. So I contacted Hawkins Homes and asked if they could send someone over to see the mess. I honestly didn't know what to expect. The project manager Hawkins Homes sent over was a different person. Brian saw the mess left behind by the previous project manager and immediately raised red flags with the brass at the top. Within a week, Brian had a crew come out and fix the problem. Mind you, this is 6 years after our warranty expired. We were never offered an extended warranty. I think the previous project manager just didn't care. But this goes to show how Hawkins Homes themselves do care about their customers and their commitment to their craftsmanship. Bad apples are every where and I've learned you cannot blame the entire tree just because one apple is rotten. Hawkins made this right with us after 7 years of ownership and we thank them for it.

My dryer hose came loose and I wanted to get it reconnected and send the lint out from under the…read morehouse. It was written on the invoice exactly like this, "$150 to cut tile and reconnect dryer vent hose. Tape pipe under house that connects to vent hose in house." After Lee the Handyman left, I reconnected the dryer and it was not blowing outside where the vent is attached to wall. I called to let handyman know but that part about it blowing outside the house was not in the invoice. I guess I should pay better attention to how stuff is written. He spent the better part of 15 minutes explaining this to me. Even though the Handyman more than likely pulled the vent hose loose himself while fixing the other end, it wasn't written in the invoice. It's sad when you live in a town near a large military base, with the Soldiers in and out, businesses worry less about customer service.
