My partner and I have a lawn maintenance company that comes twice a month to our residence. Unfortunately during their last cycle through, their crew had busted several of our sprinkler heads. We couldn't wait for their next stop, in two weeks, to visit our house and replace the sprinklers, so, we decided to take the initiative and look for sprinkler repair companies on Yelp. During our Yelp search, A Ronnow Lawn Sprinkler, populated. Reviewing the Yelp feedback from the community, we decided to move forward with A Ronnow Lawn Sprinkler. I had called during off business hours, around 6:30 P.M on a Wednesday evening. The receptionist had picked up and immediately was able to get me an appointment, next day, between 2:00 P.M - 4:00 P.M. The gentleman whom came out onsite, Thursday, had called prior to arrival. Once he came on-site, he was able to fix all of the sprinkler heads effectively and efficiently. We tested the water, and the system was working perfectly. It was relatively inexpensive for all of the repairs. I'd highly recommend A Ronnow Lawn Sprinkler if you're in dire needs for a irrigation specialist. read more

I called with an emergency leak from my main water valve on a Saturday morning. The receptionist was polite and scheduled a technician to come out that same day. Mike arrived on time and found the issue quickly. He showed me where the leak was coming from and answered all of my questions clearly. We had a very unusual situation where the gusting wind blew roof tiles off the house that happened to fall right on our pressurized vacuum backflow (PVB) piping outside. It destroyed the piping resulting in a river of gushing water pouring out. I was forced to shut off the main water valve to the whole house to stop the flow. Of course we discovered this at 6am on a Sunday morning. Called Ronnow to see if anyone could do some emergency work on the weekend. Kent was out at the house within 2 hours and had the whole thing fixed before lunch. I was so grateful for the prompt response and quality, efficient work. I would definitely recommend them and use them again when needed. read more

Just an opinion, they are just not a very kind family business and care about customers. They may be good for some customers but sadly for us, it was not good. We felt uncomfortable with the gal via communications, she is unkind and unprofessional, actually to the point of mean. Sad really. There are many great companies in Vegas to trust and not feel ripped off, look around and try and see if they are suitable for your particular needs, they did not meet our expectations for trust and the price. Called this company when our irrigation control valve was filling up with water. The lady that answered informed me that it was probably one of the valves and they charge $150 to replace valves and that included all the parts, labor, everything. She also told me she had a technician down the street from our home and she would have him call me as soon as he finished the job he was on. Mike called me and let me know that he could be at the property in 10-15 minutes. He shows up and wasn't very friendly but I figured it didn't matter as he was just here to do a job. Mike dug around and found where the leak was coming from. It was not one of the valves. There was a leak in one of the pieces of PVC pipe next to the valve box that was causing the water to flow into the valve box. He told me it made sense to replace the valves at the same time since everything was all dug up. I asked him how much it would be to fix the leak and replace the valves and I was quoted $700 . So I asked how much it would be to just fix the leak and he said to replace the PVC pipes would be $300-$400. I explained that I was told it was $150 to replace each valve so if he was quoting me $700 to do everything how was it $300-$400 to just replace the PVC pipe and he didn't really explain. My husband decided he would make the repairs himself as PVC is easy to repair and we originally thought it was the valves. I asked how much we owed for the hour of his time and he said $110. I asked how it was $110 when they said they charge $60 an hour and Mike told me there was a $50 service call fee. I told him I wasn't informed about a $50 service fee and called the office number to clarify. The lady in the office told me that she didn't tell me about the $50 service charge because she thought it was one of the valves. If it was one of the valves the $150 would cover everything. I told her I didn't think it was fair to charge me for a service charge I was not informed about especially when the technician was already down the street. She pretty much told me that was their fee and she didn't seem to care. I paid the money just to be done with this company but we will not be using them again. read more

We found a water leak in our yard late on a Friday. It was flooding the yard and would not shut off even when we turned off the irrigation valves. The only way we could stop the flow was to shut off all of the water to our house. I called A Ronnow and although they were only able to schedule me for service on Monday afternoon, they told me they would try to have someone come by on Saturday morning to take a look at it. Kent came out Saturday morning and not only was he able to help us find the leak but he got it fixed quickly and at a great price. I am so thankful that this company was able to get the job done fast and get the water back on to our house! This is a company that goes above and beyond what you would expect. I had another business come out to assess my sprinkler system about a week ago and he dug up a leak. The job to correct the problem was too difficult for him to handle so he made an appointment four days later and never showed. I called A Ronnow Lawn Sprinkler and she said she could send somebody out within a few hours! I gave her my address and phone and because I was down with the flu, slept right through the phone call. Next thing I know Mike is at my door and ready to do the job. He understood about me having the flu and completed the job with a great attitude and professionalism. He had just recovered from the flu. After the job was done he told me what had happened and was not surprised the other guy never showed up as it was a mess. As luck would have it the company had a tech in my area at the time and he arrived within the hour. The tech, Mike, took about an hour to diagnose and rectify the problem. He was courteous and professional and did a great job. The cost to me was 120 bucks, money well spent considering the time and effort I put into the job before he arrived. Good company. Two major concerns regarding Ronnow Lawn Sprinkler Inc: 1) The technician arrived an hour after his scheduled window. He was supposed to show up between 11am and 1pm and arrived at 2pm. I finally had to call at 1pm to find out if he was still coming. 2) The Ronnow technician was quick to ascertain I needed an entirely new control panel for my sprinkler system. I was on lunch break, didn't have a lot of time, and agreed because the panel was old and my grass was dying. The total repair cost was $340 for the panel and 15 minutes of his time to repair it. Once I had time to research it, I discovered the average cost of a standard control panel is $75. The technician installed a "commercial grade" panel for my shrubs ($200) Completely unnecessary. If you decide to use this company, take a moment to price-check the parts and be clear on the cost of labor. My brother is a master mechanic in CA. He advised me I shouldn't have paid more than $150 TOTAL for this repair. Good luck and try another company. read more

Called for a quote on having a sprinkler system valve replaced. Was told there is a $40 service charge for coming to the house and $80 a hour for work done plus cost of parts. A rainbird valve and filter costs under $40 anywhere. Mike took less than an hour and wanted to charge me $271. After calling the office and complaining they lowered that to $231. That is still ridiculous. That is $110 for less than $40 in parts. That is a 300% mark up on parts. They say that it is the cost of doing business with them. Well, I for one will never do business with them again. read more

They are my and go-to business for sprinkler system repairs and usually come the same day that I call. Their service tech and this time an additional person (usually come alone) came out to my home on 05/26/2011 to take care of this problem for me. Total elapsed time on the job was 30 minutes or less, since I had already managed to precisely locate the source of the leak before they came. A. Ronnow Lawn Sprinkler, Inc. is a family business that has been here in Las Vegas, NV since the 1960's which is an eternity for this still very young city. Since they are still in business after so many years, they must be doing something right! Description of work: Sprinkler system repair was performed. If they're not busy, they do their best to provide same day service, and they're upfront about their fees. Called this morning about a leak in my irrigation line running under my driveway and got an appointment for this afternoon. Mike called right on time to say how far away he was. When he showed up, he immediately knew the problem. He dug up and located the lines on each side of my driveway and re-pulled the drip line through the PVC under the driveway. Once reconnected everything is good as new. Mike cleaned up from the digging required so nobody can tell anything was done. I will not hesitate to call again. I called Ronnow Lawn Sprinkler and asked Diane if Mike their estimator would still be coming 1pm since it was 15 minutes after our scheduled appointment. She said that she meant to call me and tell me he wasn't going to make it because he was in the middle of another project. When I reminded her that I had driven from out-of-state to meet him at the property for this appointment she proceeded to explain why it was my fault because an hour before the scheduled appointment he asked if he could come immediately and I said I was not available. After she pinned the blame of his no-show on me I told her that this would be reflected in my Yelp review. She told me I should call someone else. So my advice to anyone who wants to use this company is to take her advice and call someone else. 1.) We are sorry you feel that way, we haven't been in business 47 years by no showing our customers. * You sure as hell did this time! 2.) We have on occasion had to reschedule due to unforeseen problems. * But, that's not what you did. As stated above, Mike (the estimator) called about an hour before the appointment and asked if he could come early. I told him that wasn't possible. He never said he was not coming. After he has 15 minutes late I called your office and Diane told me she "meant to call me" to tell me he wasn't going to make it because he was busy spreading rocks on another job. THAT IS NOT RESCHEDULING THAT IS AN EXCUSE. 3.) We made every attempt to accommodate you, we tried to come slightly earlier and also slightly later. * Every attempt? As stated above I was here from out of town and I had a limited amount of time to get this estimate. The slightly earlier was an hour before the appointment. I was not available. The "slightly later" was two hours after the scheduled appointment. Again I had my time already scheduled and could not change it. At 7:22 AM this morning Diane called and asked me if our appointment was today or tomorrow, that was probably where the problem was. They double booked that time slot and didn't tell me about it in hopes that I could reschedule at the last minute. Moreover, if I was able to stay in town longer and meet with him at 2:30, why should I believe he would show up? 4.) You were never told to "find someone else". * Bulls**t Kent. We had major problems, with a huge leak in our back yard.....also, some plumbers who had been out previously, had gotten a lot of dirt in our sprinter lines, due to sloppy work. Kent had to come back 4 times until he finally got the dirt out of our lines, that caused our sprinklers to be unable to turn off. Kent is a great guy, very personable, and possessing a high level of expertise. The gal we talked to on the phone was also very helpful and very nice. on Saturday, while getting our mail, my son noticed a wet spot just in front of our house by the box labeled irrigation. When he removed the lid, water was spurting everywhere, and we didn't know where the main shut off was. our fault-we should have looked before an emergency. I called an irrigation company based on their yelp ratings. when I called, I was prompted to leave a message and someone would get back to me as I marked it an emergency. it was after 5 pm, but they said in their recording if it was an emergency, someone would call me back. we shut off the water, bought some gallons from Walmart and dealt with it. On Monday am, I called again, and again could not speak to a person, but had to leave another message. By 10 am, I was fed up, and looked for another company. I called A Ronnow lawn sprinklers Inc. and got to speak to a very nice lady named Diana. By 10:30, Kent showed up. He was very knowledgeable-it wasn't the sprinklers as I had thought, but the main water line into the house, with a small hole in the copper line. Under pressure, it was spewing out a lot of water. Kent had to dig a big hole to get at the area, including cutting out a tree root the size of my forearm. then he had to heat the pipe to remove the bad piece, go to Home Depot for a copper pipe and elbow, and come back to fix the problem. Nice man, very patient, knew just what to do. By 2:30, everything was fixed, I had water to my house! It was $511, which I didn't think was unreasonable, considering his time and materials. Ironically, while he was working on the problem, a woman from the first company called in response to my Sat. call! I took pleasure in being able to tell her that when they never called me back, I had called someone else and he was fixing the problem. I would definitely call them again in the future. I had hired another company to fix my irrigation system there was water in the irrigation box. I called Affordable Sprinkler Repair the first time - they sent to my house a man with no tools. If I tell you there is water in the box, how are you going to get it out? The guy also needed a garbage bag for the items he replaced. Chaz from Affordable, couldn't get the system to turn on, and that wasn't broken! Chaz had to read the manual because he didn't even understand the system. The guy who owns Affordable tells me they replace not fix! Anyway...after that I call A Ronnow Lawn Sprinkler and explain what is going on. Because it was late on Saturday afternoon, I needed to wait until Monday, no problem. They had truck problems on Monday but came first thing Tuesday to my house. Sure enough...Mike knew what the problem was..the wires weren't connected properly. There was noting wrong with the system now....it was the connection. Took him less than 3 minutes to figure this out. I recommed this company to everyone in the Las Vegas Valley. I wasn't treated like a stupid woman. read more

We called this company based on the reviews. My husband dealt with Mike as I stepped back because he was very condescending to me when I came home and started to ask questions. He gave us a verbal quote to reroute our sprinkler lines that broke under our pool equipment of $400-$500. My husband made the decision to go ahead and have the repair done.Two guys came to do the repair and it was completed in less than 2 hours. We had our daughter pay them as we were both working, Mike again very condescending to her! When the bill was 488 we asked for an itemized receipt - refused to produce - when asked their hourly wage were were told $60- per hour. My husband tried talking to the woman in the office multiple times about how they arrived at the figure and she never could come up with that, started getting short with my husband and just ignored our text. Did the work get done, yes? At this point do we think the problem has been resolved, yes (it's only been a few days). Make sure you get a written quote before you start and an itemized invoice because based on the information from the woman in the office we were most likely charged $100 to much. One final note, if you pay with a credit card expect to pay 5% more, we were told upfront they tack it on to cover their merchant fee - which is totally illegal. read more

I had a leak in the main sprinkler pipe and a smaller pipe which was caused by a large tree root. The tech Steve was great. He got there earlier than expected. I was having surgery at noon and they really accommodated me by getting someone there on time. He cut out the massive root and repaired the pipes in our lovely sweltering heat. He was there 2 1/2 hrs. Cost $250 which I think was reasonable for all the work done. read more

On Labor Day, I found a major leak in the irrigation system that was beginning to flood my yard. I contacted Ronnow Lawn Sprinkler, as the company had assisted a relative of mine. The receptionist asked if I could shut the water off at the anti-siphon valve as their techs were not scheduled to work on a holiday. When I responded "no", she asked me to hold the line for a minute. Upon her return, she indicated Kent would be at my home within the hour. The service was excellent. He rapidly located the leak and made the necessary repairs within an hour. The price was much less than I had expected for an emergency, holiday repair.
