I had a quote from another irrigation company to fix our irrigation box and controller for $1,300, basically overhauling our system. It seemed outrageous after already paying them $180 for a temporary repair. Searching Yelp and reading reviews on Irrigation Solutions I decided to pay the $100 dignostic fee and had a top technian "Chris" who came out to look at the situation. It turns out that I didn't need (i) a new manifold, (ii) installation of two rainbird adjustable valves with filters, (iii) a PUB with insullation and tape, (iv) a new main line sch-40 pipe, or (v) to have the lines flused for air and debris. Chris carefully assedd my needs and solved my problems with a new Hunter Control Box, solenoid, and refreshed wiring. Total cost with the diagnostics, $300. Thankfully, Robert responded to my request quickly and even came out to look at my issue earlier than he originally promised when he had a cancellation. Found these guys through Google for "irrigation repair" and ended up having them fix the sprinkler system, expand the system and plant a whole bunch of plants for us. Robert came out and gave me the estimate and swapped out our old water clock in the garage. I wish the "consult" was free but they're a bigger company it seems like and my job was small peanuts. We ended up going over the original quote because we upgraded the plants and got a few more than the original plan. But in the end it's EXACTLY what we wanted and still a decent price for having it all done from speaking on the phone to someone to the final plant in 72hours. My GOODNESS am I SO fortunate to have found this irrigation company and so will YOU! I've been dealing with very disappointing sprinkler "professionals" for YEARS! Either they don't know what they're doing, or they're not up to date on the latest irrigation solutions and install crappy devices that either don't reach my flowers or flowers flattened by the placement and force of the sprinkler, or they install a system that is such an eye soar and makes my garden look TERRIBLE with all the small hoses laid all over and throughout the top soil. Or they destroyed many plants while maneuvering about my garden. I regularly search the internet for a good sprinkler repair company so I was surprised I never came across this company before, as I've called almost a dozen different companies in 15 years. The positive Yelps had me hopeful. And when this infamous "Robert", that is mentioned here frequently showed up at my door, I knew I picked a WINNER this time! I expressed my deep concern and love for my garden to Robert and need for dependable irrigation as I travel often and can't depend on strangers to do the kind of job I do when watering them, even when I pay well. He totally understood me and my needs and immediately started his helper on CAREFULLY digging up my garden! CAREFULLY DIGGING UP a GARDEN? Is that even POSSIBLE? With Robert and his helper ... YES!!! Dave was my technician. He was incredibly professional and quickly troubleshot and resolved a variety of issues with my sprinkler system. I am a DIY guy (with no prior sprinkler repair knowledge) and tried fixing it all myself for weeks with no luck (replaced the manifolds, fuses, etc.), so I greatly appreciated him explaining to me the steps he was taking as he performed them. In hindsight I wish I had called him at the very start of my problems. Based on my experience today I would highly recommend this company. $70 for a technician to come out and tell me there is something wrong with my sprinkler system? Humm the sprinkler system that I am calling about myself. I'm ok - I will go to the numerous other companies that will give you free estimates before they start work on your property. It's very rare that a company wants to charge you for a estimate. When they do it sends up a red flag to me - greedy. If you have a good product and do good work it sells itself you don't have to charge for ridiculous things like a estimate. I had a leak in the irrigation system in my backyard. My water bill had doubled, and after my boyfriend tried (unsuccessfully) to fix it, I called Irrigation Solutions of Las Vegas. I was pleasantly surprised that they could come check out the problem the same day I called, within a small window of time. I hate dedicating a whole day waiting for someone to show up. My technician was Robert, he was super professional and knowledgable and got my issue fixed within 30 min of being there. As for the cost of the repair, it wasn't the cheapest, but it comes with a one year warranty and the parts used were high quality. You get what you pay for, right? I wanted to install a WiFi controlled Hunter system, complete with a master control valve (I live out of state) and flow meter. I contacted 5 companies and decided on Irrigation Solutions. Why them? Well they (Austin) was the ONLY one who actually had a Hunter installer account, which is actually vital to these installs. So I had conversations with Danielle (office manager) and set up an install date and time when I would be back at the property, and she only required 1/2 down to get the ball rolling. Right on time Austin and Dave showed up and did a great install (neat, clean, professional). It took both of them the whole morning to dial it all in, making sure it worked. They didn't just install and leave. Austin made sure I knew how to use the Hunter cell phone app. Here is the MOST important part: I had a hiccup in how the Hunter flow meter was talking to the application (inconsistent readings). So, what did Irrigation Solutions do? Every time I noticed something a little off I emailed Danielle, and she turned it over to Austin for investigation. Danielle ALWAYS kept me in the loop, and I always felt I was a PRIORITY. Austin, on the other hand, was obsessed with figuring out the issue. He did, and he fixed it. It took a little bit, but the system is working awesome! You can learn much more from a company based on how they address potential problems or issues; they were more determined to make me 100% than anything. And they succeeded. Furthermore, Irrigation Solutions NEVER requested the second 1/2 of the payment until we all agreed that they system was working 100%. One last note: Austin is one of the most polite, customer service orientated, and smart technicians I have ever met in any trade. Serviceman "Robert" arrived at my house in Las Vegas to locate a leak in my irrigation system. Not only did he keep the appointed time by was actually early by a couple of hours! Robert went to work immediately, and within 5 minutes narrowed down the problem to a faulty valve in my backyard. He attempted to repair the valve itself in order that I to save a little money, but then found that the entire valve itself was faulty. He quoted me a price prior to actually resuming work and we agreed to replace the faulty valve. This required digging up the line and replaced the valve and associated hardware, which took no longer than 30 minutes, all the while patient with my asking numerous questions about his progress. Upon completion, Robert suggested that I purchase a rectangular irrigation box as the original valve was placed in a small, round enclosure, which is against the updated codes and better protect the valve enclosure. He also recommended, as the house is 15 years old, that it would be prudent for me to replace a similar valve in front of my house before it also breaks down. After completion, Robert made a serious of tests to ensure proper operation of the valve, checking the main water meter for any other leaks. I was very impressed by Robert's professionalism and attention to detail, as well as cheerfully responding to all my questions without complaint. I would indeed use your company and welcome Robert at any time to assist me in keeping any irrigation problems I may develop in the future at bay, and would highly recommend him to anyone else in need of irrigation solution problems. My complaint is not with the service rep, but with the company policies. When the rep showed up, I explained to him that I new where the leak was. I said the leak is under the concrete, he said we don't do leak detection under concrete, but I still have to charge you $80. I was never told that, so I called the company, and explained to them the dissatisfaction I had with their company. They didn't seem too concerned about my complaint, so as an insurance agent for 36 years I will not be recommending this company to any of my clients, and will also post this to all insurance agents in Las Vegas. Moved into a new house, and quickly discovered that the sprinklers would turn on, but not off. Figured out though that I could shut them off manually through a valve for the sprinkler system. Then the valve broke off, and started shooting water into the air. The only way to stop it was by shutting off the water to the whole house. This happened at 4:30 pm on a Friday. I called Irrigation Solutions, and they could have charged me the emergency rate to come in after 5, but instead the guy managed to get there in less than a half hour, specifically to avoid the extra charge. He fixed the problem so I had water working again right away. I wish I dealt with more contractors like this guy. read more
