I chose this "elite" salon expecting a professional experience. Instead, the entire process was mishandled from start to finish. My stylist initially called in sick -- understandable. But when I arrived for the rescheduled appointment, it appeared they had brought her out while she was still visibly unwell. She repeatedly told me how terrible she felt, and unfortunately the haircut reflected that: uneven, rushed, and far below the standard they promote. When I later called to express my concerns, my call was taken by a very young, clearly fragile receptionist. I told her several times that none of this was her fault and that my frustration was with the situation, not with her. Despite that, the salon's only response was to accuse me of being "rude to a teenager." This raises an obvious question: why would a supposedly high-end salon place an inexperienced, sensitive teenager in charge of handling customer complaints? At no point did I insult or mistreat her -- I simply communicated my dissatisfaction with an objectively poor experience. While I did receive a refund, the lack of accountability, the gaslighting, and the dismissive attitude from management speak volumes. This salon markets itself as upscale, but the professionalism simply isn't there. read more

I have my platinum blonde color done by Eileen and my cut and blowout done by Megan. They are both wonderful, professional ladies. Everyone is so nice and uplifting. Ok let me start by saying that I usually don't take the time to do reviews.. I felt that this time it was very important! After visiting many salons and having many many bad hair experiences this is the salon that sets the bar for all others. They took the time to help my daughter get her hair to where she wanted it to be and made her feel so comfortable and welcome. They wanted her to feel special and she did. After spending hundreds of dollars on mine and my daughters hair this is the one place that exceeded beyond our dreams. Thank you thank you so much. We have finally found our salon!!!! read more

I am extremely picky when it comes to hair stylists. For years, I was going all the way to ATL to get my hair done. I have very thick wavy hair and it takes a skilled professional to do it right. Then I found Shane Buffkin. He is absolutely fabulous! I have had my hair cut and colored by him for several years now. I have also had color by Bree, Shane's wife, and Amanda has done my Keratin treatments. Shane is the owner and not only is he great, but having watched the other stylists year after year, I can say that their clients always look terrific and all the stylists are excellent. They take the time to really understand what you want. The shampoo people are also awesome. They give you a neck and head massage as part of the service! The salon is comfortable and professional, and you will be pampered from the moment you step through the door. The receptionist greets you by name and offers you something to drink as you sit in the comfortable waiting room. After one visit you will feel like family. Yes, they are a bit pricey but worth every $$! read more

What a train wreck! First visit and definitely the LAST! Requested full hi lites that would lift my golden blonde closer to a platinum blonde. Specified NO red shades. Also, I wanted a good hair cut in a bob. I was under the impression this was a master stylist. NOT! Arrived at 11:30 and was seated at 11:50. Started with the foils, then I was escorted to a room with the dryers, to sit and process while my stylist worked on her next customer. I sat there reading magazines for 40 min. My stylist came in every 20 min to check my process. Then I was taken to the shampoo room. The only positive thing was the comfort of the neck area on the sink. Another person came in to shampoo me, but as soon as she took the foils out and rinsed me she ran to get my stylist. The stylist looked at my hair and said there were areas that hadn't processed enough. She put more product on my hair and said to stay for 10 min. Once again she returned and put more product on my hair. By now my head was tingling and itching. She returned and washed my hair with extreme hot water that made me jump. She put a toner and left me again. Returned rinsed and put another toner. I waited some more. Finally I was shampooed and conditioned. Returned to my chair. At first I couldn't really notice the color while it was wet. She proceeded to cut my hair and rushed through it. Not the Master cuts I've been accustomed to. She blew dry my hair and my scalp was tingling and very sensitive. Which has never happened before. She rushed through the drying and styling process. The lighting was dim and I didn't realize my hair was 75% RED until I left. Went to check out and they said that'll be $250. I paid and ran out as it was 3:30! Three hours and 40 min later... Great job at men/boy scissor cuts! Let me start off by saying that I am a difficult customer to please when it comes to my son's haircuts. I nit-pick everything, even when I try hard not to, it shows in my face, and I just can't stop myself. He has really straight, fine hair (no thanks to my genes) that shows EVERY line if not faded (near) perfectly. Because if this, I request a stylist that is able to do scissor cuts (which makes it even more difficult I know!), but the scissors give his hair a softer, cleaner looking cut. In the past few years we have moved twice and, in the search of new stylist, we have gone through some rough haircuts lol! Since coming to Shane Buffkin my son and husband have both been clients of Kaitlyn. She does an amazing job with their hair, most importantly my sons. :-) What I have been impressed with recently is that we have had to see 2 different stylists while Kaitlyn was on vacation, and both of them did great jobs as well (not all the stylist do scissor cuts, and I did have a bad experience with one prior to seeing Kaitlyn). I am excited that we now not only have Kaitlyn, but a couple reliable backups for when she is on vacation or for last minute appointments!!! read more
