She handled my natural hair with care - blow dried and provided an amazing silk press and trimmed my ends! I had an amazing experience at Mane Hair. The staff is extremely warm and friendly. It felt very down-to-earth, genuine and relaxed. I have been to other salons where the vibe is cold and uncomfortable. It was just $30 (this amount is not including tip) for a high quality hair cut. Excellent value! The stylist asked me about what I wanted and gave me exactly what I wanted. (Almost like she could read my mind) She was sure to ask about what length I wanted. She made an initial cut on a lock of hair just to make sure I was good with the length. I have never had so much thought and consideration provided for me when getting my hair done. The hair stylist was extremely empathetic. The staff is sure to hype you up with compliments. I felt amazing after leaving! It might seem cheesy to some but it really made me feel good. I'll definitely be a repeat customer! I overheard that the stylists at Mane Hair don't have to pay in order to work at the salon (which I guess is apparently a thing in the hair salon industry). Donna listened to what I wanted and gave advice. She refunded the money for the hair product that didn't work for me and gave me a free sample of another one to try. I chose this "elite" salon expecting a professional experience. Instead, the entire process was…read moremishandled from start to finish. My stylist initially called in sick -- understandable. But when I arrived for the rescheduled appointment, it appeared they had brought her out while she was still visibly unwell. She repeatedly told me how terrible she felt, and unfortunately the haircut reflected that: uneven, rushed, and far below the standard they promote. When I later called to express my concerns, my call was taken by a very young, clearly fragile receptionist. I told her several times that none of this was her fault and that my frustration was with the situation, not with her. Despite that, the salon's only response was to accuse me of being "rude to a teenager." This raises an obvious question: why would a supposedly high-end salon place an inexperienced, sensitive teenager in charge of handling customer complaints? At no point did I insult or mistreat her -- I simply communicated my dissatisfaction with an objectively poor experience. While I did receive a refund, the lack of accountability, the gaslighting, and the dismissive attitude from management speak volumes. This salon markets itself as upscale, but the professionalism simply isn't there.
