It was my first time doing a body scrub and it was amazing! I booked the Coconut Cream Body Massage/Scrub Treatment. Sil was super nice and responded to all my questions and she would explain what products were used on my skin. I felt so relaxed and my skin feels so hydrated and soft. Will definitely come back for more!

I should have left this review a long time ago. I really wanted to love this place but coming here has been a huge regret of mine. I had bad acne and came here over the summer 2018 for a facial and my face was chemically burned. It took months for my face to heal from the burns and even longer for the scarring to heal. Luckily my skin is doing much better two years later. Look elsewhere for facials!!!!!

Amazing treatments and free samples to boot!

This small organic spa is an absolute jewel and Silvia is a master healer. She has a touch like none other, with almost 50 years of experience, a pure soul, and an accommodating demeanor. This amazing spa uses the extremely high quality and reputable brand Eminence organic products, which is incredible! I was not expecting the level of service as the one received. I had the lymphatic massage with the 30-minute infra red sauna add on. This treatment was worth EVERY PENNY! In fact, I have been fortunate enough to experience spa treatments all around world and this treatment ranks right up there with the most sophisticated of them. In fact, it is underpriced for the amount of care, product and healing received. I was gifted this treatment for my birthday and I am SO grateful for this, as I would've likely overlooked this spa, as it is tucked away in a busy intersection in Long Beach. Nevertheless, it is AS GOOD, if not, WAY BETTER than any spa in Beverly Hills or Laguna. Silvia is a masterful therapist and I highly recommend you schedule a treatment with her asap!

I have so many things I want to do - where does one begin? Do they offer the opportunity to book and then change your mind? I would love to do something for my back pain, a massage (if that's necessary after a back pain option), and a facial.

Yes you can book like a massage and add on's just to make sure she has enough time booked but she will recommend treatment and customize /change the appointment after you meet with her , I usually do the pemf and facial and lymphatic massage and…

Do they accept SpaFinder gift certificates?

ThankU for reaching out to us> At this time we do not accept Spa Finders Gift Cards.…

I have heard mixed experienced from locals about Belmont Shore Spa and thought I would at least give it a try because the rates looked very affordable. I originally talked with Diane about a 90-minute deep tissue and at the time 60 was avail for the next day. I booked that for the next day and was told she would send verification to text and it was not received till next day (minor concern). But I got a nervous feel, and I was told many times CASH! That is no problem. Then what seemed like a nice shift.. I was informed Lynn could take me for 90 minutes if I came by right away. And I asked fee and was told $100 cash which is also listed on the website. Great .. easy . I grabbed a $100 and was out the door. Parking was horrible though and I had to walk literally 4 blocks. Upon arriving Diane was friendly and introduced me to Lynn who seemed tense, and non-communicative. I wasn't expecting just curtains and no private rooms which felt mediocre to me but I understand this type of set up is often customary. I undressed and ask Lynn to please use just coconut oil. The massage was incredibly rough and I had to say a few times to go lighter. The experience was horrible.. tense, then she got on top of me and straddled my body digging in. This felt incredibly uncomfortable though I know this is done in some traditions. But it felt unprofessional. To me there is no need to straddle someone on the table. I wondered if this was some Thai sex massage parlor, it made me uncomfortable. When I tried to talk about what I needed and what to do she shushed me for talking. This made me even more uncomfortable- Though some areas of my body did feel looser after the massage. That night I had horrible pain and felt worse. Now I have had massages for over 40 years and NEVER once had this kind of reaction. I still have burning in my shoulder and felt she caused injury. To make matters worse then I went to pay $100 which I was told and she said it was $105. Luckily I had atm which sometimes when paying cash I don't bring ATM. . So felt extremely tacky to atm me for $5. Next I was never asked by Lynn or Dianne if I would like to leave a tip. AND TIPPING IS OPTIONAL!!!!!!!!! Hassling customers for tips is simply unprofessional .. HINT Customers will WANT to tip for exceptional care and service. Before I left I asked some other questions to find Lynn for example is there 9-6 M-F Like seriously? I get it now. This is a sweatshop slumlord style operation where they overwork their massage therapists and probably pay them little. Instead of basic business skills. Then I'm on the Freeway about 15 minutes later and receive a call from Dianne asking where is the tip? Are you serious? How stressful, tacky, unprofessional and just rude. .. Completely unprofessional, miscommunication, misrepresentation on website of fees. SO yes this is one of the cheapest spots in 90803 area code but now I know why. If you want a cheap massage this is your place ===customer beware! I have now talked to two other neighbors that had horrible experiences at this location. This review is on Diane and what I experienced, and the painful and unfriendly massage I had with Lynn. Won't be back, and will tell my friends, to stay away in droves.

What drew me to this place were the various services they offer: infrared sauna, compression therapy, salt room and other self-care treatments! I booked with the owner who was kind to share there was an upcoming special so I booked my appointment on the day of the special she had running. Thank GOD for the special because they are a bit pricey, imo but it is worth the coins. Arrived early and was able to get a tour by the receptionist (didn't get her name) showed me around everything was clean, well organized and a vibe. My service was compression therapy with Camille and apparently I'm a G (self-titled) because I was told after my session that most first timers are recommended to get 45 mins -- mine was 1hr. The therapy was like a combo of detox, massage with applied pressure and HIGH heat. It has low, medium and high setting mind you you're wrapped up and drenched from head to toe when you're done. What I loved most was the attentiveness and care Camille took with me. Explaining everything. Made me feel comfortable. Checked in on me during the session. Helped me get fluids in (because you can't move that much with the wraps). Camille is truly so sweet and I would love to do future sessions with her. At one facial I was talking about my mom and Laura asked me if my mom's name was Judy. I was surprised and said yes, and then Laura told me she was a client too. Laura was only able to connect the dots because she knew my mom, not just as an appointment but as a person. The kindness and empathy Laura expressed to both of us during the last year of my dad's life was so appreciated.

At the end of the massage she did some techniques on my head I REALLY didn't like. Best way I can describe it was rubbing my head vs massaging it. And she did some hitting on my head; which I didn't like at all. And then she was done. Like what?! You're gonna end a massage by rubbing and hitting my head?! Also, I didn't get the full one hour massage time. When I paid at the front and asked the front desk about how I didn't get cupping, or my full hour, all he said was "oh okay." No apology. Unacceptable for a service based business.

I wish their hours were a bit longer. For example they are open normally 10-7pm. I am a morning person so I would have wanted to come in before 10am. Also I wanted to originally go in after work on Friday, but by the time I would have gotten home + got ready to go to the salon it wouldn't have been enough time for my service and they'd be closed. 2. During my actual service my nail tech for my manicure was a bit late. This didn't really bother me until the end when her next client was waiting and I felt like she was rushing. She did give a great hand massage though. 3. I also noticed I think the manager or owner talk to the other clients while on the spa chairs - but not me, even though I'd been there since opening. Not a big deal but I wanted to be included haha 4. The actual manicure was sloppy, not sure if you can see in the pictures but the polish in person isn't evenly layered where you can see gaps in the opacity. And then the polish is going over the edges and on top of my cuticle which is a big no - no. I noticed my cuticles aren't even pushed back. There's also debris? And markings underneath my polish and that was like that in the salon after she did it so I know that wasn't me after. These photos are taken the day after. I also got a pedicure but those are a bit harder to inspect. Although they look nice. 5. For the price of $99 + $10 tip to each nail tech = $119 I am not sure if it was worth it for being sloppy. For this quality of manicure I could have probably done it at home and save the money for another salon. I also inquired about acrylic and dip powder to find out that they don't do acrylic which was shocking that a nail salon doesn't do acrylic nails? And the technician who does dip powder was not in that day - to which I would think you had have at least one on duty the whole time especially on a weekend. 6. I did like that they take apple pay and the ease to pay with my phone. And they did say it would take an hour - which it did thankfully. I think everything considered it's probably a strong 3/5. In this economy I would really only like to spend my money at places I absolutely love. P.s. they have a no show/cancellation policy that charges you so I'd be weary giving them your cc info to have on file. I am big on not wasting people's time but 24 hour notice isn't always possible with emergencies. I would prefer a policy like 2-4 hours ahead of time - they also do open later at 10am so hoping that is not counted against the customer.
