Upon reaching out they were going to be closed but happened to be able to get me in on a day off with clear and concise explanations of all fees. Due to the extreme nature of my situation Dr Sandy and the entire office was able to asses the situation professionally, quickly and referred me to the right people with her name and stamp on it. She was able to get me meds, mouth wash and the products needed to keep me going while I had to have a different procedure to come back for her to fix my crown. They told me they would give me a call to let me know my out of pocket once they checked with the insurance. I never got a call back. 2 weeks ago i called them to ask about it and the girl told me she would call me back in 20 minutes to let me know and guess what, she never called. Last week i called them again and she said she would call the insurance and guess what, i never got a call again. Might be a good dentist, i dont know but with the lack of professionalism of course i no longer want to go there.

I'll admit that I was initially a little disappointed, as I had hoped to complete everything in one visit. I later scheduled an 8:00 a.m. appointment for January 31st and was told I would be seen and treated that day. When I returned on the 31st, I was treated by Dr. Pham, and Esmeralda assisted me with billing and benefits explanations. This is where my perspective completely changed. It quickly became clear why the office is so busy. Dr. Pham did an outstanding job, he was empathetic, kind, respectful, and took the time to thoroughly educate me about my treatment. Esmeralda was equally wonderful, clearly explaining what was covered by insurance, what was not, and reviewing my options without any pressure. Together, they made the experience genuinely positive. Fast forward to today, when I returned for my wisdom teeth extraction. Once again, Esmeralda was welcoming and helpful, and this time I was treated by Dr. Nguyen, the oral surgeon. She was incredibly efficient and skilled, the procedure was quick, smooth, and completely painless. I was honestly amazed at how comfortable the entire experience was. And so appreciative her and the dental assistant (whose name I forgot. Sorry) truly cared and eased my nerves. It turns out my poor sister had an infection and a dead tooth. She required a root canal and a crown. Dr. Alvarez was kind and accommodating to take care of my sister in short notice. This was my son's very first dental office visit. I chose this location based on the reviews and…read morewas excited that they accept Medi-cal. The pictures and reviews seemed very kid-friendly --and the office did not disappoint. They welcome the kids with a toy dispenser machine and an interactive video game in the waiting room. The nurse who assisted us was super sweet, affirming my son and building his confidence every step of the way. The area where they clean teeth and discuss the treatment plan is just one large room --not a lot of individual privacy, but it feels open and inviting. There's one large TV playing movies, which helped keep my son calm & at ease. All the nurses seemed super nice and friendly, but the actual dentist/Dr. seemed a bit aloof. When he finally appeared to discuss my son's x-ray, he did not introduce himself to me and he barely greeted my son. He was very thorough in explaining the issue/treatment needed, though. Unfortunately, I have to give 3 stars because the setup for treatment is not at all ideal. They ask parents to sign a form saying that the child can be strapped into a papoose blanket (which looks a bit like a straitjacket attached to a flat board) or to have their wrists strapped down to the chair (for the child's safety) AND then they also don't allow parents in the same room as the child while the procedure is being performed. Even though it was explained that I could watch my son from the doorway, behind a glass door, there is NO WAY I would allow my preschooler to be strapped down, surrounded by strangers and undergoing a procedure without my presence. We declined any further service --which was a real shame, since we both appreciated the office and staff. They ought to rethink their policies regarding this.
