I purchased these approximately two weeks ago. I have taken them out several times now. My routine is a combination of asphalt, sidewalks, and trails. Each outing 4-5 miles, five days per week. Needed a good pair of walking shoes for my 10k steps...first time here and I had such an amazing experience! I was promptly and warmly greeted by Vivianna. I explained to her what I was looking for and she quickly offered to have my feet scanned. She explained the results in detail to me and was able recommend the perfect shoe for my needs. She brought out a few options for me to evaluate and helped me select the perfect one for me. She was so friendly, warm, kind, efficient and most importantly knowledgeable. Also, I thought the prices were going to be inflated because of the scan and the great customer service but the price was amazing for a the quality (I selected Brooks) and the service. Definitely worth it. I left feeling like I found the best shoe and my feet are already thanking me! I learned so much and never felt like she was just trying to sell me. Was excited to get some new shoes and stopped by here on the weekend. Immediately after entering the store it was quiet. The 3-4 young men said absolutely nothing as they stood around talking to each other and only the older woman who I assume is the manager said hello after a few minutes of being in the store. The young guy who helped us didn't seem too happy to help and gave off the vibe that we were bothering him when we asked for different sizes and shoes. Ended up leaving without making a purchase. Overall, the Brea location is MILES better and I will be making that drive to go there. Would suggest that you train your employees in customer service asap! read more

This was my experience: I was excited to get fitted and buy a pair of shoes, maybe even two. When I first walked in, it took a few minutes for someone to acknowledge me. I understand they were helping other clients, but a simple "We'll be right with you" would have been appreciated. Once I was greeted, I had several questions, but the gentleman didn't provide confident answers. I kept asking for more information, but his responses were mostly "um, yeah." Eventually, he told me to let him know if I had any more questions and walked away to help someone else. I came in wanting to get properly fitted and find the right running or hiking shoes, but after that experience, I didn't even bother looking around...I just left. The customer service was disappointing, and it didn't give me confidence in what they're selling, so I'll be going somewhere else. read more

Charles helped me out with getting some birks and even though they didn't have the right color I was looking m for. He was willing to make a transfer from another store so I could pick it up. His customer service is something not a lot of snails pace usually have. If you ever go to snails pace him and the manager will be extremely helpful, friendly and kind to whatever needs you have! read more

I came in today to get my feet scanned and check out some new running shoes, as I am getting back into it after some major lifestyle changes blah blah blah you know the drill. I had never been here before and I love the place. It's a great running store. Zach was professional, friendly, and knows his stuff. He gave me pro tips on stuff I know a lot about, and intro advice on stuff new to me. He was able to run through several types of trainers until we found ones that are perfect for where I am at, as well as advice on where to go next when I wear out this pair. Great personality, fast worker, and he kept the place clean while bringing out tons of boxes of shoes trying to find the perfect glass slipper for my feet. He answered all my questions and asked a bunch of questions that helped me figure out what I wanted and need. Overall it was an inviting, personalized, and accessible experience at this place and I will definitely be coming back here for my next pair. read more

The chino hills location is a disgrace in comparison to the brea location. Today 04/04 was my second and last time going to this location. I guess I should explain. I took my family there to buy the Hokas for myself and maybe get some supplements for my high school aged son for his track training. The young kid who approached me asked if he could help. I asked him questions about the Hokas and he suggested Gaviota. He grabbed me a pair and walked away to help someone else. I tried them on a waited. The kid never returned and left me hanging. In the 20 years of buying from the Brea location I've never seen this there but this is now the second time being disappointed at the CH locations so I'm convinced it's not an isolated timing thing but a management thing. This store couldn't have come at a better time as I was looking for new running shoes for the new year! After doing some research, I found out they offer free custom fittings with a 3D foot scan and gait analysis, which was super helpful. (Tip: if you plan to do the run test, wear shorts or leggings. I wore baggy sweats and it made things a little harder for both me and the employee.) The scan and stride evaluation were really informative and definitely helped me understand what kind of shoe would work best for me as a fairly new runner. I do recommend going in with some idea of what you're looking for or doing a bit of research beforehand. While the employee clearly understood how to read the scans and talk about different shoe types, they didn't seem very knowledgeable about running training itself, which feels important when recommending long-term running shoes. I wish there had been a bit more guidance, basic runners knowledge, or insights from their experience with other customers that have visited. Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase and the technology they use, but I did end up relying mostly on my own knowledge and judgment when it came to making the final decision. Absolutely thrilled that Snail's Pace finally opened a store in Chino Hills! I was able to find a hard-to-find pair of Nike Vomero Premium shoes in size 9.5, which made my day. If you're looking for unique, specialty running shoes, this is the place to go. Huge shout-out to Evan for the amazing customer service. He was incredibly patient, extremely knowledgeable, and clearly an expert in running shoes. He took the time to walk me through different options and comparisons, which I really appreciated. Great experience. This was my first time shopping at a running shoe store. I had an extensive surgery on my foot and my physical therapist recommended Snail's Pace. I had to go back 2 different times because of my foot swelling. Zach and Patrice were very patient & helpful. I finally did get some Brookes shoes. Had a messy experience trying to purchase running accessories from A Snail's Pace at the Shoppes in Chino Hills. The sports bra I purchased had the orange sale stickers and I pulled my size from the bottom of the pile. I was charged full price and I called to let them know of the issue the same day when I noticed the discrepancy that I did not get the discounted price. When I went to get a price adjustment the next day, they had removed all of the stickers and claimed they wouldn't have discounted the color even though my bra was erroneously labeled with a sticker even higher than the original price. The regular sales associates are pretty friendly but the more experienced associates or managers are not that welcoming. I really wanted to make A Snail's Pace my run shop but will probably purchase from other stores since there are so many other stores that I could purchase from with similar merchandise and price for a better experience. read more
