We went on a Friday evening. The staff was very friendly but we wish they were more clear about what sales that they had that day. The store was clean and organized. They have fitting rooms in the back. You basically can only go to the fitting rooms once so they recommend that you have everything you want to try in before you go into the fitting room. There were a few other people and we were still able to maintain our social distance. They have a lot of trendy and fashionable clothes for a reasonable price but not cheap. They have fur coats, jackets, towards the front and dresses in the middle and shoes in the back right. My sister was able to get 3 items: Levi shorts, dress, and a cardigan and she was very happy with her purchase. We would definitely come back another time. read more

Reason for 2 stars: bad customer service. In my opinion this stems from stuck up employees/owners. Read the review if you want to know why. Came here a few years ago after deciding to sell all my streetwear. Lots of Supreme and a few other well known brands. I brought a ton of clothes and could tell it would take a while for the one person (a male) checking clothes to go through and price them. I asked if I could leave and come back and was told no by one of the 2 females that seemed to be manager or owner. No explanation as to why, no polite apology, just a flat dismissive no. After about 30 minutes one of the females joined in pricing my items. After an hour of waiting I said I needed to go and would come back. When I got back they ended up wanting almost everything and offered to pay me around $1800 which I took. Their website states they pay 30% of sales price if you want cash. That means they would sell the clothes for around $6000. I know I was taking less than market value but hey I thought it would be cool if I made some money and they could make some money too. Unfortunately the experience was soured by their lack of customer service and condescending attitude. Don't expect anything from these guys. Not even the awareness that you are providing them with inventory for them to make large profits on. This place is a joke. Their inventory is 80% cheap stuff that is poor quality and been sitting there for months/ years. Brought 3 bags of anthro, Abercrombie, madewell clothing with tags and they said $10 and would only take 2 of the items. My three bags combined was worth more than 80% of that store. They have some "designer" items but not a ton and selection is poor. Everything else is cheap and off brand and filthy. You might as go to goodwill. They try to selective when buying items but their products in store speak otherwise. These people are off their rocker thinking they sell crap and only want to buy "trendy items" LAME. Dont waste your time. They try have to have hipster vibes but its just a sad excuse for a buy sell trade store. Went to uptown cheapskate and got $$$ for my 3 bags. They were awesome and friendly. The girls here are super nice , they make the whole process so easy and stress free !! They are very reasonable with pricing and the best thing is that they are open to all items no matter what season as long as items are in good condition and somewhat in trend !! Didn't really care for this place. I brought clothes in that are all name brand and all of them had tags still on. While they were going through them I walked around store. Everything looks SO old. Dusty and crusty shoes that are still marked at 20 and up. The clothing they take on the racks is boring and some look like has no life left. Everything was so pricey. Out of about 10 pieces of clothing and 1 pair of new boots. They said they were only interested in 3 items (we the free top, lululemon belt bag-like new and a nwt white romper that I purchased in laguna). They tried giving me $17 dollars! I wasn't desperate to sell anything since I sell online so I left. I get it, that's how they make the business work but it was crazy that just looking through the racks, they prefer to purchase trash rather than nice clothing lol. This place is unprofessional and will not last much longer in chino hills parkway nepotism aside. They treat there customers and staff poorly. Robin and Ashley the store managers are both snobby and entitled people who you can tell always get their way or the highway which is interesting for running a buy/sell/trade business .(robin is terrible with code switching and can tell he doesn't have a personality of his own). They have there own staff make good reviews for them just so you couldn't see the realistic ones Like this one . Honestly I don't really like this store at all and I would suggest going elsewhere. Once and awhile I will find something good but it's always expensive and I usually have a better chance at having multiple good finds at the goodwill down the street. If you're looking for a 10-15 year old Forever 21 tank top that's $20 then yeah totally shop here. If you are a hard core thrifter and you know what to look for them definitely go elsewhere. You can find that same $20 tank top for $4 at goodwill. As for the selling, I have amazing clothes, and I don't mean to have an ego or anything weird but I know what's good and what's in style and what's not. I personally resell a lot of my clothes and purchase new ones because I don't really like wearing the same thing 100 times. So usually I will buy something I like where it 30 times or whatever and then sell it and get something new. With that being said most of the stuff I have is in style still and is in perfect condition. But they never take ANY of it and they only give you $20 for like 7 items it's ridiculous. I'm tried selling them, dolls kill, urban outfitters, free people, section 8, revenge, anthropology, princess polly, nasty gal, and some vintage items etc. and usually the girls are pretty nice there but there's a guy who works there and he doesn't even hardly look at my clothes and he only takes like the guy stuff that I have in there... which is like two t shirts.. it's so dumb. This store succeeds at stocking luxury goods, vintage items, and trendy apparel. The merchandise and clothing on sale at Lineage impressed me much, much more than the stuff available at a Crossroads, Buffalo Exchange or Deelux. Sorry, not sorry other consignments and thrifts. Lineage comes from a short line of buy/sell/trade stores that make other buy/sell/trades feel bad. Why should they feel bad? Lineage regularly stocks the LV, Billionaire Boys Club, Supreme, Commes des Garcons, and Gucci goodies that are in short supply at most of the other buy/sell/trades I've been to. Their staff does not cherry pick from the merchandise and leave the leftovers for customers either. Lineage's focus on fashion grails and high end goods has not stopped it from offering a variety of more affordable retrowear and streetwear. Many items in their inventory are priced to sell, and some were cheaper than other thrift stores I have been to. I picked up a couple pieces of sportswear for less than $15. One item was going for $15 online all by itself. The trade counter is obviously worthy. But for the trade counter, how would the staff stock the store so well? I ended up trading in a passe Coachella shirt and a checkered, denim MTV hat. The staff does pick and choose; they do a good job of singling out the desirable merchandise and clothing that will sell. Stop by Lineage before trying out the more well known and less intriguing trade shops. What more could one ask for? Lineage sells chic goods on the cheap 24/7. read more

Had high hopes for this place due to their reviews. I came on a Sunday evening with 1 bag hoping to sell a few items. I understand they they may not take everything and some of my belongings may not be "trending." Staff was really friendly and helpful although my biggest pet peeve is at least put back the clothes nicely instead of shoving it back into my bag. They're a selective thrift store with lots of brand name items. So rather than paying for the clothes at a cheap price, you're paying at a cheaper price. However I was able to find plenty of cute finds for a reasonable price at good condition. They have two changing stalls so you can try on the clothes. Came here on a Sunday to sell some clothing and there was no one else in the store so didn't have to wait for hours like Crossroad or Buffalo Exchange. However, they are super picky about what they buy. Clothing I brought in was majority Spring/Summer and also a few jackets that would work year round. The gentleman going over my clothing didn't end up taking a single item. Which was odd, as I recall calling them weeks back and a lady said they'd take pretty much everything but maybe value may not be given at 30%. The store was overall very messy and shoes were clearly all worn out. I can't imagine people wanting to shop here. Clothes weren't special in any way. And looked very.. used. I understand it's a thrift store and people go in with the intent of buying used items but most items are definitely not "gently worn". Ended up taking my clothes to buffalo exchange in which 80% of my clothing and shoes were taken in. The items I brought in were either never worn or only gently worn once or twice. Perhaps Lineage have too much junks on hand already to accept new items, and it's a shame because it's such a bad inventory that no one's buying. I think when I walked in the lady even mentioned a 50% discount in the entire store. So I guess the only plus is no one is shopping here and wait will not be horrendous. read more

I'm originally from LA, so I used to go to a specific store to consign and sell my stuff. I moved into this County area just for about a year. I had to look around awhile before I found a place that I like. This place has pretty unique pieces, and I know their are some bad reviews that said they only carry small sizes or terrible prices, but honestly I think they have to be picky at what they wanna sell. They are consider a thrift store/consignment store, so they need to pick things that they think will sell. They won't want stuff being stuck on their racks forever when they need to put new things out into the racks. That's my intake on the bad reviews. It's not good for their business if things are stuck on the racks. I've came here twice so far to sell them my luxury pieces. I got decent prices for them considering my pieces are in decent condition. I've also purchased a few clothing items myself. I've been looking for specific types of items now for my closet, as I'm getting into my 30s. I'm looking for better quality clothing and at decent prices. This is now my go to store. I generally like going to Goodwill that is in the same plaza, but now I found this place I'll be coming back for more things in the near future. The prices ranges are pretty decent. I've gotten a nice tweed skirt and jacket set and a nice cute sweater for the winter coming for under $50. Tweed material is expensive so the set was a steal for me. Don't listen to the negative reviews. Give this place a try. I've seen very cute sweaters, tops and bottoms at decent prices and looks way nicer than the items sold at Goodwill. You can get a decent tweed dress for like $15. A few brand name bottoms for less than $20. Etch etch. They also have very cute sale items too. If you have a looksy... you will get what I mean. I brought in some good brands such as Ann Taylor, Nike, Hollister, and Abercrombie hoping Lineage would be more open minded with my clothing. A lot of them were never used, pretty unique, and I could see them selling. The positive was that they were fast at sorting clothes and super nice. The downside is I didn't see them research they value of these brands or items. I thought they'd be more open minded, but there seems to a pattern where they lean towards y2k fashion and only pieces that apply to a certain demographic of teens. They have a nice selection of stuff, but I can't find genuinely good reselling shops in chino/chino hills. I only earned $3. read more

Going through the female pants rack all I see are unflattering box pants. The whole store seems to be curated by a tasteless Gen Z staff who wants the business to go under so they could rake in unemployment to cater to their lazy tiktok ridden lifestyle, accumulating debt to acquire a fashion degree for a career that will go nowhere sincce none of them seem to have any sense of originality or taste. This is a good consignment store if it's what *you're* looking for. The clothing is trendy, store is clean and staff is friendly. But the prices are a bit out of what most people would consider consignment shop prices. They had a lot of Golf Le Fleur, but I wouldn't expect any sort of deal-- a cardigan was $300 and a pair of their converse collab were $50, which isn't bad but they were pretty tattered. I also came to sell but they didn't buy anything from me and I have stuff similar to what they had in store! Ultimately, they're looking for name brands to buy, and sell at slightly less than retail (sometimes higher depending on what it is, regardless of condition). A shop like this feels out of place in Chino Hills, but I think ultimately this place just isn't for me. I would def come back if I needed a gift or outfit for nicer occasion where I don't mind spending a little more, or I just don't have the time to sift through a proper thrift store. But yeah, 4 stars if you're their target clientele, but if you're like me, I would say 3 stars. Again, staff is nice and helpful, store is organized and they have dressing rooms (which could have been a bit cleaner tbh, and the doors could should way taller bc if a tall person comes up to the door, or if a security camera is angled just right, they can see everything..) Ultimately, shopping second hand is very important to me so I would def come here over shopping online for clothes, but not over a normal thrift store/ other consignment stores if I'm looking for more of a deal. read more

Be extremely mindful when shopping through their "designer" section they have. There a lot of fake items within their store that they refuse to acknowledge or rather label as "bootleg". Do not buy any of the graphic tees without a second look or take some time to find the flaws. Came here for the first time with full bags of various clothes such as Zara, Nordstrom, topshop, etc. more than half were never worn with tags on them. Two girls at the front were not friendly AT ALL. you'd think as a new customer, they'd be more welcoming. Out of the two full bags, they chose at maybe 4 pieces. They didn't even show me what item they chose and how much they were offering for each. The total I walked away with was a whopping $29. Lesson learned. Never going there again. read more

I love consignment and clean thrifting so Lineage Trading is right up my alley. Got a cute Madewell T-shirt for $9 and my mom got a Topshop dress and leather sandals for a really good deal. I ended up selling here as well and the girl who looked through my clothes was very fair in her selections. You are to bring your clothes whenever they are open and they give you 30% in cash or 50% in trade. I did not wait at all to have her look through my stuff unlike other places (I am taking about Deelux in Claremont) who had me wait 2 hours. They look for contemporary styles in clean condition with a designer label (doesn't have to be Gucci but Madewell, Zara, Topshop, Rag & Bone, etc). This store carries higher end labels as well (LV, Prada) on consignment. read more

This review is primarily for selling. I've sold countless times at other thrift stores like Crossroads and Buffalo Exchange so I have a decent amount of experience with thrift stores. I tried to sell twice here, and now I never waste my time particularly due to my first experience. I had a pair of nice straight levis distressed jeans that I had taken to the ankle (I'm 5'4"ish for reference), and I brought it in. They refused it saying that the length is too short which was surprising considering that many people are shorter than me, and this fit would be perfect for them. The girl that was serving me was also not very nice in the way she said it, but the other attendant was kind. They're straight leg jeans! Not baggy bf jeans.. Surprise! Buffalo Exchange took the same jeans! Other tips: Don't waste your time selling high quality classic items. They seem to only want loud graphic tees, or super street style or tween looks mostly. I get the vibe they're going for, but not being inclusive of all sizes is just a turn off for me. read more

I called them provided my information and they said they "aren't sure they are going to be able to do anything about it but they will get back to me" below is photos of my bank statement and the shirt. as you can see the tag is horrible the R is literally sticking out of the copyright, the color is completely off and lettering not sure how this could have passed a single persons eyes. The good: You can find designer purses for a very low price (under market). and One of the owners Ashley is super kind. . The bad: It's best to take your clothes and high-end items elsewhere or sell on Posh or Mercari as they give such a low price. . The ugly: I purchased a pair of shoes while I was at counter noticed the heels were terribly damaged and asked to return. Keep in mind this was a matter of seconds of CC going through while I was still at counter. The male co-owner told me he could not refund bc it was their policy. I could understand if I got home and returned later but I had not even left store and was seconds after purchase. As a fellow local business owner, I can tell you this that level of customer service does not=longevity. Here is my advice. Make adjustments, when need be, for good customers. That type of policy is not going to serve your business but drive paying customers away. Customer service is often the make or break of any business. read more

The owners did such an amazing job with the store! I love how open, clean, and organized this thrift store is compared to others. They also have mirrors throughout the store and two dressing rooms in the back.
