Went here on November 11th to purchase 2 bikes for my sons for Christmas. I was told by the sales associate when I bought it that it was a 90 day return policy (also indicated on the receipt) and it would be no problem to return if there was an issue as it was a Christmas gift. Well here we are and there are problems. I bought a pueblo 20 bike for my son and it makes a noise in first gear, the chain slips off almost constantly and the brake line fell off too. I went to the store today to bring it back to exchange it and was told my the front end lead that bikes have 24 hours to be returned. I told her that was NOT what we were told when we bought it as it was a Christmas gift. She had no empathy or anything as my 7 year old son was with me and it was awful to have to tell him a big corporation lied and won't fix what's right. First time coming to this location. Everything is neatly organized and nice friendly staff. Today I came looking for HOKA and Brooks shoes and they are well stocked. Got a few pairs to wear for now until the end of the year and even though it was pricey and not on sale, I at least got a good variety to choose from. I used to go to Road Runners and they are pricey and they do a foot assessment there which is pretty neat. But if you already know the shoes that you need I go to Dicks to purchase them because even if there is no sale, as long as you are in their rewards program you can get future coupons and rack up points for future purchases. Large parking lot in the front. Had to wait awhile to checks out as there's limited staff in the front. Some items didn't have price tags so I had to bring it to the front to get a price check. If you are looking for a fitting room you have to find an associate to unlock the door for you. Kind of a hassle. Overall good place to find sporting goods. Today was just shoes and workout clothes for me. But I do see sports equipment, plenty of white crew socks, weights, and even snacks for sale. read more

I have no issue with the staffs and their service. However, problem comes from another aspect. When you buy gears here, don't trust their price tag, it's there just for look. The actual price can be much higher when you ring it up at the cashier. I bought a bunch of baseball stuffs for the kids and never realized that I paid more than what I personally agreed from the price tag, until I had to exchange one of the baseball bat and realized the price was $179.99 instead of $149.99 as marked on the item. I brought up the concern and all I got from the staff was "inflation, we changed the price!" First of all, I don't mind if the price changed, BUT you should either update your price tag ON THE ITEM or honor whatever marked on it. False advertising is considered a scam and I never expected it would come from a big retail like Dick's. Do not purchase any scooters, skateboards, E bikes, or bicycles from Dicks. Bought a scooter mongoose for the grandson for Christmas. Opens it on Christmas Day. He is out riding it and the brake brakes on it. We take it back two days later, and they refuse to replace it, refund it, or anything. They say there is only a 24 hour window in which you can return bicycles or E bikes. This is a scooter. It doesn't fall under either of those. They outright refused. If you purchased a gift for someone on December 23 and your child opened on Christmas and it was broken. They will never take it back because it's been over 24 hours. Do not purchase any gifts from this company. They also said the only way they would take it back as if it was still in the box. How do you know if it's broken if it's in the box? They were all very rude condescending and refused to help. To make matters worse, they said they do not carry parts for the scooter, but if we wanted to order them online and bring it in, we could pay to have them fix it. Fore warned is for armed. read more

Another issue I had was with their systems. Online website showed they had some shoes in stock but when I went to the store they didn't have the actual shoes. When I asked someone to check why it showed in stock they said they scanned it on their device and they are out of stock. Why would the online site say they have 2 left and the store system says 0? Dicks is a place that we have shop at being softball parents. Not much options around..with that being said...I will never return to this location, I'd rather shop online! The store and product availability is never the issue. It's the teribble lack of customer service from their employees. The two associates I encountered (Julie and Andrew) were rude, aggressive, and at one point tried to call my daughter a liar by saying her item was used. After calling corporate on the store, I'm glad they saw an issue with the way our situation was handled at store level. UNPROFESSIONAL. The shoe department customer service here is absolutely terrible. I was waiting for a shoe and they brought me out the wrong color, when I asked for the correct color he said "Do you want to just keep those?" I said no thanks and then 18 minutes went by so we walked over to the distributing area and asked him if he has the correct color. He explained that we need to give him more time because it was an accident that he brought me out the wrong color and now there are 8 people in front of me that he has to grab shoes for. When we blank stared at him because we were so confused how we got moved to the back of the line when he messed up he repeated again just give me more time you have been waiting for 4 minutes. That's when the conversation turned condescending because it had obviously been much longer and we decided to just take our money elsewhere. Service salesmanship, at first those in store were friendly and helpful; however upon checkout the young man behind counter was not helpful in the least. I had all my credit cards and Apple Pay on me that I use. Apple Pay sometimes works oddly in doing returns I found this to be true at other locations but with no trouble. This young man said he could not find the $80 chair I purchased 3 weeks earlier and would only give me $9 for the chair. I asked are you sali g the chair for $9 now he said no but that is all we are willing to give to you. I had $1000 worth of merchandise on the counter ready to purchase. I stated may I see the manager, he said he was (hard to believe) because he was willing to let the sale of all that merchandise go and not return the chair for valid amount. I walked out and stated I will not be back. And I will not even though I have a football baseball and golfer in our house.
