Tried to return boots for uncomfortable fit after purchasing new boots from boot barn online . Horrible experience. I will never shop there again. First time buying boots there. Sales tep helped me pick out 2 pairs of Laredos. She told me at check out if I have any problems just bring them back and I will have no issues with a return. I tried to wear them once and they hurt my feet very bad. Just wanted to give some time to thank the three employees working today 05/23/25 from 2:00pm - 3:00pm. I walked in with my family and they noticed right away we needed an exchange, got the box and immediately went looking for the item we would like in exchange. Constantly looked for us to see if we needed help with anything while we shopped and items we did select they will hold it for us at the front of the store to free up our hands. Yesterday 4/17/2023, my wife and I went to the Boot Barn located in Chino Hills, we were immediately greeted by Kim, she asked if she could assist us, and we stated that for the moment we were going to snoop around. On the 29th we are going to see Brooks & Dunn in Laughlin, so we both wanted to get some clothing as my gear, well it's time to buy some new shirts and jeans, and my wife also wanted to get some new western clothing. They have a large inventory of things so there is quite a lot to see and try on, Kim came by and asked again, and I asked about some shirts that I saw on the Boot Barn Web sight and she helped me locate them and we were successful... I told my wife to call her grandson Bobby to see if he needed something, as he and his girlfriend and other friends were also going, she did and found some shirts for him, my wife also found some cloths for herself, then we started trying on the gear and made our choices... The entire time Kim positioned herself where she could see who was coming and going and should I need help she was there to assist, also while hanging some new stock on the racks, there were other Sales Associates so everyone was greeted warmly and if they needed help was there... Three things are important for me to enjoy a shopping experience: 1) The store has to be kept in a clean and well stocked manner. Some stores, clothing is on the floor, things looked like they were placed anywhere, and just kind of a general mess, this was not the case. 2) They have to have a good selection of things so I can get something that appeals to me, BOY they had a lot of great stuff. 3) The Sales Associates have to look like they enjoy what they are doing, many times whether in restaurants, or markets, or clothing stores the Sales Associates appear to hate being there, don't want to interact with the customers and when they do, they come off like they are being bothered. NOT the case here, Kim took care of me and my wife and answered our questions, Kim handed us over to Kristin, and she was an extremely pleasant young lady and like Kim they are both beautiful young ladies, they really showed their loyalty to their employer in the manner in which they conducted themselves. SO THIS IS FOR THE PERSON READING THIS AT BOOT BARN, Kim and Kristen performed great, my wife and I spent around $300, and instead of going to the Boot Barn in Los Alamitos, we are not going to make this OUR Boot Barn, they other one in Los Alamitos just too many problems with their Sales Associates, the store is just crammed with stuff, poor floor layout. Now to maintain an honest perspective, the Boot Barn in Chino Hills is MUCH larger and there fore has a great flow pattern where customers are not bumping into each other, great colors, and very inviting so that you just want to stay as long as one needs to really check out the inventory, the one in Los Alamitos is just tooo small, the Corporation has not plowed money into the store making it fresh, warm and inviting, to the degree that you just want to get in and get out fast. Just a suggestion, Boot Barn you might just want to consider finding another much larger location, similar to the one that is in Chino Hills. I don't understand and get why any business would. not ensure all their employees are delivering a great experience for consumers. Especially now. I have been to this Boot Barn numerous times & the service is always hot or miss but today was beyond horrible . I could not believe how bad the service was. One, I waited a few minutes asking for helping by the Hats . Andrew was at the register with another associate & I continued waiting patiently by the Female hats. No one approached me so I walked back to the registers where they both were and it took 5 minutes - yes 5 minutes for either one to acknowledge. I requested some help by the hats and Andrew looked over to the other associate can you help her. The associate asked how can I help you . I respond I have some questions regarding the hats but needed to show her what I was looking for . In her response not even walking to the hats which was a very short distance was well, what's your question. At that point I walked to the hats and waited another 5 minutes in which that point the associate was very bothered for being disturbed and not even a thank you or welcome . I ordered a pair of Ariat boots (250.00+) for pick up. This is Christmas! I got there to be handed a pair of boots in a shopping bag with no box! Apparently the store has no boot boxes? Upon inspecting the boots, 1 was very scuffed up and was a drastically different color from the other. When I asked the sales associate to check for another pair, she already knew they had none which tells me she was very aware of the condition of the pair in the bag! I found a different style and again asked about a box and was told they would fit in a hat box that would cost me $5!!! Soooo, they tried to pass off a defective pair of boots, wanted to charge me for a box which they should be sold in anyway, and the icing on the cake....tried to give me the refunded difference in price in a store credit!! In order to get it sent back to the original form of payment, they had to process a full refund that will take 3-5 days to process and I had to purchase the replacement pair! The monies will all level out in a few days, but the fact that they were trying to pass off defective boots AND wanted to charge me for a box when they should have come in one speaks VOLUMES to the subpar standards at this store! read more

I have never been to a "Boot Barn" in my life and in all honesty was simply roaming a shopping center for air conditioning. I was very pleasantly surprised. There was such a broad variety of clothes, boots, hats. The staff was absolutely amazing and attentive. I have a very tall and very skinny T-shirt. Went in yesterday afternoon and the first thing I noticed was how organized and clean this store is. Everything has a place and it makes browsing a breeze. Employees were attentive and even grabbed things for me that were up top that I couldn't reach. lol Definitely didn't have to "track someone down." I also purchased a new black cowboy hat. The manager was amazing at cleaning, steaming, and shaping my hat and carrying a friendly conversation as well. Great customer service. First time here to shop for Stagecoach. Store has a lot of items and cute boots but Everything is very expensive. I purchased a $40 rhinestone super cute leather belt and when I got home I realized it was missing about 12 stones on the buckle before I even wore it. So I rushed back to the store to exchange and turns out no more stock, so I asked for a discount and they offered a 10% discount: woopie, left me unsatisfied and probably would not shop there again. I kept the belt but I am sad that it's defective and probably not going to last much longer. read more
