This place was so clean and everyone was so nice and professional. The vibe of this place made you feel so comfortable, and at home. I walked in and it was so chill and relaxing. UPDATE: Owner called me a dick head, told me to shut the fuck up, lied about not speaking to my sister calling in an hour earlier so clearly either he's lying or the employee lied saying the owner was put on the phone. Owner was disgustingly rude, condescending and nasty. updated review: I left an initial bad review because within 24 hours my 4th was swollen, red, almost infected, bleeding & had pus coming out of it. My sister called for a refund for me and they refused due to a misunderstanding which was that my initial review stated that my sister was *almost* charged $50 for a change of belly ring - fixing up the review, she was not charged $50 for a change of belly ring, to clarify. However, my experience was still very valid and I was too uncomfortable to go back and ask a piercer who didn't do a good job in the first place to fix & mess with a piercing that was already hurting. It's weird I didn't get a refund because of something that doesn't even correlate. still a 1 star because im entitled to speak about my personal experience, the job was still poorly done, my ear was swollen and red, my regular piercer said it was the worst piercing he's ever seen and was very concerned, the lady pierced my 4th and did it diagonally in a way that it almost messed up my conch. The job was horribly done and my ear wasn't cleaned prior to and disinfected - and that's not something that's up for debate because it's clear to see. I've had to take out my piercing and now I have to wait for it to heal. She also paused while putting the needle through knowing she messed up. But I'm not getting a refund because of something that doesn't even correlate. I honestly don't even care about the refund but I wouldn't recommend anyone to come here because of that lady. Came in last night As a new mom terrified of getting my ten month olds ears pierced. I called at least four times in advance and every single time i was treated with amazing kindness and patience while i asked every question i could think of. I came in with my family and was so pleased to see friendly faces and a clean safe atmosphere that put my nerves at ease. Everyone reassured me and gave me clear instructions on what i had to do. Davey marked my daughters ears with perfect precision and pulled the trigger. Clean, smooth, and fast! Everything went exactly as he described. He did an amazing job and i couldnt be happier with my experience. He even went out of his way to find me earrings that i wanted. The piercings are $50 for the first and $40 for the second so the total for the visit was $90 before tip (fair and reasonably priced). This included the jewelry, the soap for aftercare and complimentary softdrinks in the waiting area. We had such a great time that my aunt decided to get pierced aswell! She said it barely hurt and was so happy with her earrings afterwards! I will be recommending davey and this shop to everyone i know and i will certainly come back for my planned tattoos. 10/10 read more

Did a terrible job on my tattoo as well as my friends and were rude and badmouthing clients the entire time

We walked in and we were greeted instantly and helped out right away. After filling out the usual paperwork we picked out our stencil and sat right down and before i knew it my arm had a tattoo on it. The decor is super dope and lively, plus our artists Davey and Slowpoke absolutely rock!!!!!! Definitely will be back for more tattoos!!! I found my new favorite place! I got this tattoo done in February. I cleaned it and cared for it like I was instructed to do but it's still raised above the skin. It's also not straight but that's the least of my worries. I'm not sure why it's raised.. maybe they thought I wanted a 3D tattoo? Definitely getting this removed once the swelling goes down. read more

I got a tattoo on the inside of my lip in DC, and came to stroke of genius to get it redone. It was super quick, easy, and the tattoo has lasted for a full year and looks like it's never going to lift (even though lip tattoos are known not to last). I came here the other night with my friend and she got a tattoo on her rib cage, the artists told her straight up the pain level, didn't sugar coat, and did such an amazing job, it looks great and she said it didn't even hurt. The artists, the quality of the tattoos, the aftercare process, and everything about this place is top notch. Some of the rudest, stuck up people you will ever meet. When you walk in, it goes quiet. The tattoo artists and people at the front desk make you feel very uncomfortable and aren't personable or friendly at all. Instead of talking to the tattoo artist personally, some kid was walking back and forth relaying our messages. Lose the attitudes! I had a great experience at the shop recently! I think there may be some unwritten code for tattoo shops not to be overly friendly (gun shops too!) but that doesn't mean they aren't polite. This shop in particular was laid back, relaxed..dare I say an island time mentality..but my experience with Jay was top notch. I came in w an idea which he was open to but also had some great suggestions for the outcome. Jay was likeable, easy to talk to and did a stellar job covering my 20 yr old tattoo. Talked w a few other guys in the shop and it was pleasant all around. I'm definitely going back to Jay as I trust him implicitly w the artwork he provides. DO NOT COME HERE FOR PIERCINGS WISH I COULD RATE ZERO STARS. Came here to change my nose piercing (which I had done elsewhere and previously had ZERO problems with) changed from a stud to a hoop. I know nothing about piercings and I still would have been better off changing it myself. The "piercer" who changed it was so rough that he made my HEALED hole BLEED for 3 days. Put in a ring that was so small on my nose that it dragged the piercing down my nose making it look like a SLICE. On top of all of this, the worst part of it all was that the "piercer" damaged the tissue SO BADLY and the quality of the new piercing that he put in was SO BAD that within one week of getting the piercing changed I had such a bad keloid that I had to get it SURGICALLY REMOVED. read more
