I'm not sure how many more holes my daughter can get in her ears. In my day you got one hole in each ear lobe. Did you know that there are over 10 different names and places you can claim as a hole?! The daughter wanted a forward helix. You say, a what? Exactly! The woman who pierced her told my daughter where she thought the best place would be. It is still a forward helix, but you could have it either higher up or lower. My daughter said there wasn't any pain. She loves her new hole in the head addition, but now she wants another one! I am still adamant that she can't have the one between her nostrils. Move out and then get the piercing. I have complete faith in Athena. They don't rush you and the place is very chill. AMAZING! So so ecstatic I found this place! After my weird experience last night at a piercing place in Delray, I came across this place, made a call, and was answered by Vee! What a sweet warm human being! Answered all my questions and told me it's best to make an appointment but they do accept walk ins. Walked in as soon as it opened Saturday @ 12 to look at the jewelry. The vibe was so right. Felt extremely calm and serene upon entering. Was greeted by the sweetest girl that walked me thru all the jewelry and was super knowledgeable, thoroughly answering my questions & that told me they had an opening at 2:30pm. Booked!! Ran some errands, and headed back to my appointment slot. Let me tell you the jewelry is absolutely STUNNING! I was laser focused on this cute little blue/green stud. Jewelry piece was $90 but I will tell you....you get what you pay for....spend the extra money on yourself to do right by yourself, you know?! Vee made me feel super comfortable! So so so happy they did my piercing! I had it done when I was 17 but it's been closed now for 15yrs now, so we did a little test to see how the old spot was doing. Took less than 5 minutes it felt like. Was over in seconds and it is so stunning! SO HAPPY I took a chance on this place. Will be coming back for future piercings and jewelry! I am forever biased to Athena Body Adornment. I recently went back for another birthday piercing and took a friend with me. My friend has never been to Athena's and has only been to other local shops for her piercings. She didn't get a piercing but she bought some new jewelry. She agrees that Athena's is the best place to go and she'll be returning for her future piercings. Athena's never fails to provide the best service and care. The environment is beautiful, welcoming, and the people are always so nice. There's a lot of jewelry to choose from and even though it's a little more on the pricey side you get what you pay for (i can't stress this enough) !! I would rather spend the little extra money to ensure the piercing is done right and that i'm properly taken care of. Additionally, this is the first time i've gone to Athena's as a walk-in. In the past i've always booked online but since we went so close to the holidays we thought we would just test our luck. They did inform us that they prioritize appointments over walk-ins (which they also state on their website) and we were completely understanding. There were 2 appointments before us and one was a no show. It was probably a 45 minute wait but there was a nice seating area with some jewelry catalogs to look through. I had a daith piercing done at another location that was both painful and horribly misaligned. The owner of the studio at the time (which I'm almost positive is the same one now) was able to look at my piercing promptly (even as a walk-in) and was able to remove the piercing efficiently and with such care. This was my second time coming to Athena Body Adornment for a piercing. Today I came to downsize my 2 Helix piercings, which turned out amazing. I have been wanting to get a septum piercing so I had that done today. (LOVE IT!) What's another hole... lol I can not say enough good things about this piercing studio. I found them after a lot of research. They have an amazing, gorgeous, and large selection of jewelry. The shop has a great vibe and style. Most important...spotless and the piercing rooms are very clean. They take time btw clients to clean rooms and sterilize jewelry and equipment. The girls are amazing. So friendly, patient, and a positive energy. Picking out jewelry took me forever. This will be in you for 6-9 months before you can change it... so you want to love it. They have such a huge selection. (Thank you for being so patient with me and helping me pick out pieces I love. Stones and metal that work with my current jewelry and skin tone). Alison was so amazing! I was glad she was there to do my septum today. She has done all 3 of my piercings. She is very educated, gentle, there was no pain, and she has a calming energy. She walks you through the process, will show you every tool used and each step. On a side note: this is the year of piercings for me. Finding someone who pierces well is like finding a good tattoo artist. So a tip from me to you from what I have learned. They need to have the the proper education, experience, understand each person's anatomy and how jewelry will sit and fit on your body. You also want someone who knows how piercings heal, what to watch for, and what to do if any complications happen. I was able to call them. They will have you come back to assess the piercing. I chose them because they exclusively focus on piercing (rather than a tattoo shop that does piercing as a side-service), they're certified, they're super focused on cleanliness, they're affirming, and they have excellent reviews. My daughter has seen Vee for multiple piercings throughout the years and absolutely loves getting pierced by him. We always make sure to come on a day that we see he is scheduled for. You can either make an appointment online or walk in, just be mindful of the time/date if you choose to be a walk in since they may not be able to get to you depending on assisting and taking care of the individuals who already have a booked appointment. Jewelry posts are titanium grade and jewelry pieces come in a wide range of goods, silvers, and gems. Prices also vary between pieces. They also take care of piercing troubleshoot questions, and even downsize appointments that happen a month or so after the initial one. I wanted to take an opportunity to update my review of this facility. Since my original visit for my piercing I have been back twice. Once to replace the original post and once replace my jewelry. The experience has been consistent every time. The employees working the desk ( I apologize for not knowing their names) greet you warmly and are very helpful when asking questions and selecting jewelry. Vee, my piercer, is always very patient and takes her time answer any questions I may have. You never feel rushed and they answer all questions even if it may seems silly. I'm sure they get the same questions all the time. The experience is much different then going to a tattoo parlor. ( nothing against tattoo parlors but this is a totally different vibe) Finally, the prices are fair and reasonable. I purchased my saline spray from them when I first got my piercing. I checked online later and found that the price they charge is actually lower than Amazon. They have jewelry available for all budgets. And I love the piece that I purchased.
