My experience with them has been incredibly frustrating and unacceptable. 1. Poor Communication: They consistently failed to communicate effectively, causing unnecessary delays and confusion. 2. Dishonest Pricing: The company was not upfront about pricing, and I experienced hidden fees and conflicting information. 3. Unreliable Scheduling: They frequently missed or were late for appointments, making it difficult to rely on them. After paying the invoice they provided, I received unprofessional and harassing text messages, including being called "cheap." When John came for the initial quote, he brought two individuals who did not pass a background check through Thumbtack. He claimed he forgot the tools needed to do the job but promised to send a quote. It took days for him to return and complete the work. The worst part? My thermostat went missing during their visit. Both employees initially admitted they found it in a bucket used to clean my chute, but John later contradicted this and claimed they were mistaken. John has continued to harass me even after I asked him to stop. AMAZING TEAM! My husband and I had a leak coming into our bedroom. We had had THREE roofing companies out. THREE. Each one, was trying to sell us on replacing our entire roof. To be honest, we just don't have the money for that right now. Our neighbors had just had A Sweep Above out for something minor but had used them for years. So we called to schedule an appointment. We contacted them on a Friday and they came Sunday. That alone I appreciated. They were able to determine the source of the leak, almost immediately. Took tons of pictures and video, to show us all of the damage. Our flashing was separating from the roof and causing all kinds of damage underneath. They went through all of our options. Explained that there was everything from a small repair, cost effective but basically a bandaid - to a full roof replacement. We didn't need to replace our entire roof. They recommended to remove a portion of the roof and replace the plywood and roof for that small portion and then repair the flashing. Went over how if we wanted to replace the roof, in the next year or two, we could do the bandaid until we could afford it. And to not waste our money repairing the portion. I appreciated their thoroughness and coming out that Sunday. They even tarped our chimney, because there was a huge storm forecasted Monday am. On top of all of this, gave us a great price. John finished my brick work on my chimney last week. His masonry work is impeccable. We were both NYrs so we got along great. (sometimes we can come off a little spicy, as my husband says) I saw the recent review and felt like I needed to leave my own experience with John and his company. 1. Great communication. He explained everything and even showed my husband and I pictures of our issues. John was very honest and informative. 2. He told us that our quote could go up and he Was honest on what we needed replaced. He did not add anything unnecessarily. I had waited a week and had a second opinion and they were quoting DOUBLE the cost for the same work. I went with John and I am glad we did. 3. Scheduling was reliable. It wasn't raining And they were on time. We had to reschedule once and that was my choice due to weather. I recommend this company. If you are honest and you can communicate... Hired to fix major issues on exterior and interior brick walls. Made appointment through Thumbtack. Thumbtack set up an appointment for me but then did not notify the company. The day of appointment came and I left them a bad review for no call no show. They contacted me right away. They came out the next day and took an additional percentage off for the hassle. I saw they've had excellent reviews on HomeAdvisor so I decided to give them a try... John and his two guys came out to start job on time, finished job with no issues and it looks great! I have several different contractors working, at different times, trying to finish this home, so i can move in by end of month. They worked around other teams, cleaned up every night and gave me updates at the end of each day. I really appreciated that they got job finished quickly and efficiently. read more

John and his partner were absolutely incredible. Our chimney was a really tough case because the house is old and the mantel/chimney was constructed very strangely. After the initial lining of the chimney, the smoke didn't pull the way it was supposed to. John and his partner came back out to test it for us and created a plan. We took it one step at a time to try and keep costs down for us, and they went above and beyond to do everything they could to get the chimney functioning--and for a reasonable price. They were professional, knowledgeable, kind, patient, hard-working, and well-priced. Even when I acted a little koo-koo and went off half-cocked about something that wasn't their fault at all, John was patient and understanding. And they got the chimney/fireplace working!! Last week my mother had a chimney Fire in her wood stove chimney. The whole room filled with smoke and it was very scary. These guys came out right away after normal work hours and after waiting for the chimney to cool down was able to fix it and install a liner so that everything would work again. The last guys I hired did horrible work. A sweep above was on time for the appointment and took pictures to show us what was wrong. When they finished the work they provided after pictures before I even had to pay them in full. They cleaned up everything as if they were never there when the last guys ruined my garden.
