Went to A Table Apart last night after years of driving by it when coming home from the beach. We ate at the bar and were greeted warmly and were given a glass of ice water without even asking. The bartender was extremely knowledgeable about the entire menu and gave us recommendations as well as described certain dishes. He was very personable and attentive. I had the boneless short rib with brocolini and mashed potatoes. It was delicious.The szechuan sauce was tasty and not too spicy. My husband had the triple tail and he loved it. Came here for Valentine's Day dinner & tried the delicious Kerala prawns ( my family is from Kerala India) & I'll say it's not authentic but I wasn't here for that. It's fusion & delicious! Great food and service in this small restaurant. Our table started with Caesar salad and the house mushroom appetizer. Decent sized portions all tasted great. 2 of our party has the prawns. One had branzino and I had a nicely slow cooked lamb shank. Desserts were a brownie with ice cream and a chocolate sauce and a house crème brûlée. A nice little spot. read more

The wait staff was very helpful and made suggestions!. we order fried calamari which was great! Entrees , we had organic Salmon 2ways and Short Rib w broccolini. You could just use your fork and peel the short rib off very tasty and delicious! Everything came out fresh, hot and very appealing! Atmosphere in the restaurant was very casual and background music was perfect for this hidden gem! We would definitely come back and try a different entree! Went to A Table Apart for dinner a couple of weeks ago. Had been there many years ago under different owners & it was very good so decided to try it again since it still gets great reviews. Since the 'snow birds' have returned home, it was easy to get a reservation. Opted for an early dinner since we were in the immediate area & realized happy hour was still going on so we were able to take advantage of that menu. My husband & I each had a cocktail and for apps enjoyed the chicken liver pate & Calimari. Both were delicious. For dinner my husband had the short ribs which tasted delicious but could have been a bit more tender. I ordered my entree off the dinner menu and ordered the triple tail which was very delicious. Our waitress, Ashley was terrific- great personality, professional & made some wonderful suggestions. We enjoyed our night dining at A Table Apart & will be back in the fall when we return to South Florida! read more

I think every restaurant have dishes that work and dishes that should be modified / removed from the menu. I'll start with the not so great - the appetizer Hong Kong XO sauce octopus is served on a fajita platter with chunks of red cabbage. The sauce is sickly sweet and burned on the hot iron pan. The smoke overpowered the smoke alarm so we got a smoke and sound show. I'm embarrassed this is called Hong Kong XO sauce as this dish is not. Chef - there's a new dim sum spot by the airport that serves XO sauce with rolled rice noodles. Please go try this dried scallop, dried shrimp, Chinese ham, shallots, shallots, garlic, chilis - no sugar!!! The octopus is nicely cooked but completely ruined by the sweet burnt sauce. Probably won't order this again. Now the really wonderful! The Cajun Pan Seared Scallops made with 4 Day Boat U-10 Diver Scallops, Creole Seasoning, Crawfish Risotto with Charred Corn & Mushroom Etouffee Sauce is one of the most delectable bite of food I've tasted in a while. It's creamy and rich in flavor but the sweetness of the corn brightens the dish. The whole fried yellow snapper was also very good. I didn't mind the bones or eating every body part. The eyeballs were a little fishy but the rest of the fish was delish. This is more of a personal taste, but the red vinegar wasn't that great. I'd suggest a ginger/scallion Chinese soy/oil dressing vs the vinegar with rice vs the soba noodles. Overall, a delightful meal and can't wait to try other dishes!! read more

The waiter seemed unprofessional and although the menu read well the execution was mediocre at best . Preparation and presentation was sorely uninspired. Full disclosure. Been here before. Wonderful food, service and ambience. On 1/31/26, a Saturday, we sat at the bar. It was busy, understood and respected. Bartender was doing their best, shorthanded possibly, not sure. Felt bad, she was overwhelmed and moving quickly with orders, making drinks, etc. She did her best. Maybe a second bartender should have been added (Saturday night). Appetizers were okay. Warm tomato soup probably should have been converted to a chilled gazpacho, just my opinion. Entrees: pork chop not cooked thoroughly throughout, still veins of hard fat throughout meat. And the bone was burnt. Same with rack of lamb. Asked for medium rare, it was rare/rare, and again, the bones were burnt/burnt. Maybe they use sous vide, they didn't wrap the bones with tinfoil. Not on the grill or in the oven long enough. Not sure. Since we were very hungry and we had an event to go to, we really tried to eat both, with little luck. I told the bartender that we had to go and explained the problems, but we Needed a check. After I told her what had happened, she said she would mention it to the owners, and I did write the problems down on the actual bill itself. Nobody called me. I contacted them twice in the last three days, with no response. When I owned restaurants, I took a complaint, not as a complaint, but as constructive criticism. It helped me grow. I realize that there are OFF nights (short handed, Chef needs a day off, staff member gets hurt), Understood. But at least call, contact the people that enjoy your restaurant. Make them feel comfortable to be able to come back. Again, only a suggestion. I tipped the bartender, who was also our server, generously. I'm happy this restaurant is in Bonita Springs and have been successful for many years. Kudos to the owners, staff members and customers. read more

Hidden gem! Looking for a place to eat and happened upon A Table Apart. We didn't have a reservation (you need a reservation) but the hostess suggested the bar if we wanted to eat. I'm so glad we stayed. The bartender, Ashley, was very personable and we enjoyed having her take care of us during our meal. My husband had the Glazed Pork chop and I had the Organic Salmon. The pork chop was tender and juicy. Cooked perfectly. My salmon was absolutely delicious. Ashley mentioned that the chef works 6 nights a week in order to make sure everything was perfect in the kitchen. He succeeded with our meal. My husband also had the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake for dessert. All desserts are homemade. He ate very bite of that. We will definitely make a return trip to that restaurant. Would not recommend for anyone with food allergies. Three errors out of six of us: two gluten and one dairy allergy. We are very clear with our instructions as we've been dealing with these allergies for years. This was the most egregious experience we've ever had. This restaurant has been on my "local list" for quite a while and it was a great treat to go with friends from out of town! PLUS, making a reservation online via their website was very easy and very efficient. And yes, you do need a reservation, it's a popular spot. We started off ordering a nice Chardonnay since we all decided on fish for dinner. Wine selections are quite nice and they do have a small section with reduced bottle prices. Starters and "snacks" have a place on the menu. We ordered the Filipino escargot from the starters section and calamari off the snacks section. Both were ample for sharing and both very tasty. Calamari was crispy and included rings and tentacles The Filipino escargot is a must! They were not the traditional French preparation but cooked in coconut milk, adobe chili, shallots and if I had to guess, Sherry. Absolutely divine! Served with thin toasted crostini and a nice cold eggplant salad. We can't forget the wonderful hot bread basket; crunch on the outside but fluffy on the inside. The entrees we picked were scallops with a crawfish risotto, whole fried snapper with soba noodles and triple tail with steamed rice, asparagus and aioli. Every entree was plated beautifully, cooked perfect and ample in portion. We would all order these items again. We did pass on dessert, although our waiter Robert did persuade us to get an after dinner espresso. Excellent end to a wonderful meal. Ambience is a laid back tropical vibe but not kitschy or gaudy. Extensive menu if you don't like seafood; think pork chops, veal, lamb, vegetarian. Service was perfect, Robert didn't rush us, was professional but not stuffy and was extremely efficient. The Blackened Organic Salmon & Citrus Salmon Céviche, Yuzu Beurre Blanc, Sautéed Organic Spinach and side of Furikake Rice was stunning, it's the best salmon I have eaten in Naples area. The starter was a solid wedge Crisp Ice Berg Lettuce, Bacon, Tomato, Pickled Red Onion, Keawe Smoked Blue Cheese, Blue Cheese Dressing. There is a prix fixe menu which is an incredible deal. Coming to the food, it was not super great. We got the 1. Shrimp and Lobster pasta (4/5) 2. Kerala prawn curry (3.5/5) not the typical Kerala curry though. 3. Thai style fried calamari (4/5) it just the sauce is little Thai inspired but nothing special again. 4. Chorizo Mejillones (4/5). They do not have any cocktails at all. Only beer or wine. We made the server aware of our Gluten(Celiac Disese) and Dairy allergy and he reassured us we'd be taken care of with care. The first course (mussels) had bread sitting on top of the meal. They put cheese ontop of our salad despite informing them of our dairy intolerance and to remove it when we ordered. Our GF dinner came with French fries on the same plate, and they weren't gluten free. Clearly the back of the house/kitchen does not take care or pride in serving safe meals. This place has been on my bookmark for the past year. The menu is very unique and I am an adventurous eater so we had to try it. The restaurant is very small, but you can tell they focus on customer service because they had multiple servers for the tiny restaurant. We ordered off the pre fixe menu. We split the calamari. I had a pear salad with gargonzola and pecans and then we each picked an entree. I got their specialty an entire fried snapper. The calamari and salad were just average. Nothing unique or special. The whole fried snapper was absolutely divine. It was unique and spiced perfectly. Definitely 5 star dish. We also ordered their specialty pie which was also different but good.
