We hadn't been to Wylds Cafe in several years and were pleased to see the interior renovation that had been done which really modernized the dining area. There is still carpet on the floor which seems a bit outdated, but on the other hand it absorbs a lot of noise and creates a calm, quiet atmosphere. Our server was super friendly and attentive throughout our meal. We started with the calamari which was our favorite dish. It was sautéed with mushrooms and peppers and was in a flavorful sauce. The calamari was very tender. We ordered the ahi tuna main course. The tuna was lean and tasty, however we weren't crazy about the sauce that was poured over the top. The sweet potato and seaweed salad sides that it came with were a good pairing. I ordered the barramundi as my main and was disappointed as it was supposed to be pan seared but was more like battered and deep fried. I've never written a review before, but WOW this place deserves it. As I was traveling in the Bonita Springs area, I was on the hunt for a great restaurant that offered gluten free options for my mother who has a gluten allergy. Wylds Cafe popped up immediately on trip advisor, and we decided to try it out. I am SO glad that we did! Both of our entrees were out of this world. The lobster and shrimp risotto was outstanding, and the tenderloin saga was just as magnificent. We shared the crème brûlée for dessert and it was the perfect final touch. It didn't look like the right place driving by because the parking lot is in the back and the windows as dark. However, when you walk in it had a great intimate setting with the friendliest staff. Colleen took care of us, but I could over hear that all of the staff were knowledgeable about the menu. She was amazing! The food was super delicious. Wilds was as good as ever! Fantastic dinner last night with friends. Service was on spot. I started with a small house salad which was a step above ordinary followed by the shrimp scampi special, huge shrimp in a delectable sauce in a crock surrounded by mashed potatoes and julienned winter vegetables. We have been regular customers of Wylds for years. I don't know what happened but things have certainly changed. We went for Christmas Eve dinner. Food was good but service was poor. Group of 6 a few weeks ago. Food was OK. Service was fair. Last nite the service was awful. Mistakes with the food. Pork chop tough, scallops still raw in the middle. They now want $4 if you want more bread. We waited a long time for our food. Waitress was rude and didn't seem to care about customer service. We asked for a manager twice and she never bothered to see us. Not a pleasant evening and they were not very busy.We are not people who complain and we were very unhappy and will not be returning. read more

The food at Wylds is so incredible. I am only in Estero/Bonita when visiting my parents, and after they took me here one time, I knew I had to come back after having the shrimp and lobster risotto. Our return to Wyld's did not disappoint. The atmosphere was pretty empty when we came in on a Friday night (right before Christmas) but the service was wonderful and every dish we had was amazing. Two of us had lamb rack, and others had the shrimp and lobster risotto. The risotto was as incredible as I remembered. The enigma salad, Caesar, and escargot were all delicious. i have lived in the naples area for over 20 years and never have been to this restaurant. oh boy have i been missing out. the food was excellent and the service was great. only reason i did not give this a five star is when it came time to get the check our server was no where ti be found for 10 minutes. the only other issue was our table was next to a bunch of loud people that were extremely intoxicated. this is not the restaurants issue but it was annoying. my wife had the rib eye, very tasty and i had rack of lamb. both cooked perfectly. we brought our own wine and the corkage fee was very reasonable, $25. we will defiantly return. read more

I like to cook so if we go out to a restaurant I want the food to be better than I make or something I wouldn't normally make. I do not know the background of Wylds chef, but his food is incredible! Four of us were dinning and we all ordered different things from apps to dessert and we all were quite impressed. Our waitress Colleen was very knowledgeable on both the wine selections and food. She was attentive but not at all intrusive, the music was relaxing and soft so it did not affect our conversation and the interior has a clean and elegant vibe. This was my 3rd visit and each time the food and service have been amazing . My mom had the New York strip what she said was absolutely amazing. I had the hog fish with the soy butter sauce. It was beyond fantastic. My last visit I had the pork chop and it was the best pork chop I've had in my entire life. The strawberry shortcake dessert is also a must. Came here in early March, 2019. We had a party of 4 and we really enjoyed the food here. Drinks were good and were delivered efficiently. I had snapper and wife had short ribs, following our usual theme. Fish for me and beef for her. Our friends both had seafood. Food was really, really good, and service was good. The only shortcomings are the location and the ambiance. The restaurant is located in a very bland strip mall on Bonita Beach Road. After 5th Avenue in Naples, it feels like the hinterlands. Quite a come down! It is convenient from Bonita Bay, but not much else. And the interior is completely devoid of charm. It felt like we were eating on a card table. The decor actually detracts from the enjoyment of the meal. So before going back here, I would choose downtown Naples. read more

Unfortunately this Resturant was not a hit. Food was very salty, lobster in the shrimp and lobster risotto was not good. We sent it back, they offered a desert for our trouble. The bill came back with the dish still included. We asked them to remove the dish from the check they refused and said we gave you a free desert instead and that the chef tasted the dish and said it was fine. We decided not to cause a problem by calling the chef out to our table. The head waiter decided to argue when one person in our party got upset. This place lacks customer service and would rather get a poor review than refund $45. We will not be back nor will we recommend. read more

So thankful we found this restaurant. Creative, quality, quaint and stimulating. Menu is populated with interesting variations. For instance, we started with calamari. I am picky with my calamari but it was cooked to perfection and it came with a sauce on the plate that was a tasty compliment. Entree was a duck, duck foie gras sausage with pasta. Fantastic, superb, wonderful, awesome, you get the picture. We cannot say enough goods things about Wylds Cafe. Colleen was reason for this review, more on her later. Th only fly in the ointment were a foursome who tried to ruin the experience. Fortunately they were unsuccessful due to the professional and fine craftsmanship of the staff. The said gruesome, I mean foursome, was pretentious, boorish, arrogant, entitled, you get the picture. They bad mouthed their server, said Colleen, behind her back but, treated her like a friend when she serviced them. There is a special place in the 5th ring of Hell for them. But onward. Colleen was superb. Her attention to detail was flawless. Her recommendations were spot on , needless to say delicious. She knew when to interject and when to lay back. She was the consummate server. The food was wonderful. We started with the Duck Napoleon - Fantastic. My wife ordered the Healthy Choice (scallops and shrimp) and I had the the Swordfish (Colleen's recommendation). Both were inspiring. Colleen made the wine selections for us, perfect pairings. Dessert, chocolate cake, a chocoholic's dream, with coffee. What an incredible dinner ! The swordfish was amazing and a true sign of a good restaurant, is when the veggies/ potatoes, etc on the plate are as delicious as the main dish! The carrots and smashed potatoes were pure perfection! The salmon and walleye were also delectable! Even the salads were amazing! Although, we never usually order dessert, we were happy we did-bread pudding and crème brûlée were exceptional. Making the dining experience even better was the superb service of our server, Shannon--she was the consummate professional :) she made our evening even more enjoyable !! Pretty good... Great service with only a few hiccups throughout the meal. The wedge salad was good, no issues there. I had the Kombuku Chop. The chop was flavorless and not good at all. It came with a BBQ sauce that had no flavor at all. I kept adding salt and pepper and finally gave up. Here is where the service excelled... The waitress asked how everything was and I told her my honest opinion about the chop. She apologized, said she would let the kitchen know, and was there anything else she could get me. I went with my original thought and got the Cashew Encrusted Grouper with the Beurre Blanc sauce, smashed potatoes, and green beans. The Grouper was tender, flaky, and had a WONDERFUL flavor. My dad had the Ribeye steak and the flavor was great. It was cooked perfect, the whole shabang. The demi glaze sauce.... Eew... No flavor. This was a tricky star rating because the service was impeccable and the Grouper and Steak where we're wonderful... But the Chop and Demi glaze sauce were not good at all.
