The work was very slow, and they were not up front with pricing. At first I was impressed with them showing up on time and then giving me a quote for the price we discussed. Things quickly changed as later they decided to leave the house unannounced only a few house into the job. I was later informed they had left for lunch. They were gone for two hours! In a nutshell, we weren't thrilled with the furniture store regarding shipment of the couch. That being said, once it was in the hands of A to B Movers, everything was right with the world again! Dayton and Luis showed up exactly when they said they would; no waiting around for hours! They were friendly, efficient, considerate and careful with their surroundings, and our personal items in the room, making sure not to knock into anything. Yes, I did call on Christmas Eve. No it was not poor planning on my part it was an emergency situation, unexpected, that I was trying to resolve for my daughter. YOUR employee said she would try and I understood that. If she had simply responded back with sorry we can't I would have understood and tried someone else. No, instead she never got back to me and kept me waiting with no response! That is very unprofessional on her part and more so on yours, the owner, knowing and not caring about a simple response! P.S. You can't remove my review because I am a customer. No money was exchanged but discussions were made and I tried to do business with your company! We used Brandon's company to unload our U Haul and place furniture when we arrived in Steamboat in 2018 and were very satisfied then. As it turned out, we reconnected when we needed to schedule a move on Oct 17th. Slight hiccup that Saturday because of vehicle problems but Brandon stepped up to the plate the Sunday and got our move done! Very careful and made every attempt to minimize any potential for damage. We hired them to handle the packing and moving of a bunch of furniture from Aspen to Denver. Whitney and the movers were all really kind and a true pleasure to work with. The movers made sure our furniture was protected and even helped us set up some of the heavier pieces. Everything arrived in perfect condition and they were careful to watch out for our walls, ceilings and floors, despite some narrow doorways. I called and spoke with Haley and supplied information for a quote on 5/25. After some hours I emailed back asking when I'd receive the quote. I was told via email by Haley that I'd have a quote within 24-48 hours at the latest and would be followed up with. I received my quote on 6/1 and I was never followed up with. I emailed back 6/16 that I wanted to solidly my move since I had no contact and was not going to put down money without clarity/details on what I'm paying for. I received a reply from Brandon the next day asking for my contact number.....but I had already been contacted by them before but ok, replied back with my number. Upon the next call from Haley (after requesting it) my date was no longer available with no flexibility. I was upset and emailed back to Brandon to which he replied my dates are not available and sorry. Professionalism was not there for me. Clearly you're very busy this time of year but you are not organized. Had I been followed up with as promised I would like to this all of this could have been avoided. Will not contact this company again. Super let down and disappointed. I'd give a half star if that was an option. They have also deleted my quote as of today as well. RUN AWAY! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Especially if you have nice things that you'd like to keep that way. This is the worst experience I've ever had moving. First, they showed up with a trailer that was to small for all of our stuff and none of the supplies they needed for the job, even though we had 2 consultation calls covering what they would need to bring. The crew was super pissed at the owner for not preparing them for the job and for all the extra work they had to do because they had the wrong trailer and had to rent a truck and bring everything back to their shop, only to re-load it all into a vehicle it would all fit into. The whole process was very awkward and uncomfortable. Only for us to get to our new home 1,200 miles away and find out that most of our possessions had been damaged. Either by pissed off employees having to reload everything at the shop or by improperly loading it for the long drive. But by far, the worst part was the lack of accountability from the company afterwards. They started out nice and apologetic but after they found out/realized how valuable everything they damaged was they instantly became abusive and accusatory, then charged the wrong card even though we specifically asked them not too. I guess they were to scared to call us after all the lies and damage they caused. Definitely the WORST experience I've ever had. Keep in mind my wife and I have to move regularly with our careers, usually one or two moves a year. Do yourself a favor and don't trust these terrible people with your belongings, call two men and a truck, they will treat your things like their own! I would not recommend this company, even if you are in a pinch, please be patient and work with a company that will take care of your items in moving even if the wait is longer than you have hoped. We chose A to B moving because of their 5 star reviews but our journey has been at best a 1 star experience. They showed up for our move with a small trailer which did not fit our belongings. The owner Brandon did a walk through and had to go get a truck to fit our belongings but the crew proceeded to put our items into the trailer which they knew was not sufficient. While packing this crew was very negative, they talked poorly about the company and how disorganized the owners are and one even offered to pay me to make one of the other employees (Hayley) cry. To be honest we should have requested them to stop and hired someone else but we felt we were already too deep into the move with the crew loading. If I would have known then what I know now it would have been 100% worth it to ask them to bring our items back inside and leave. The crew then had to pack some of our more valuable items like TVs and Art into the truck and it was not sufficiently packed and loose. They then drove to their warehouse and had to unload the trailer and load everything into the truck. Based on their comments through out the day we know they were angry about doing the work twice and we do not feel the second packing got the attention it deserved. The crew that drove arrived in CA before we did and they asked to unload without us home, we agreed but this was another mistake on our part. The crew did not put any of the boxes in the rooms they were labeled for, they just stacked them on the wall and many valuables/fragile items were under significant pressure. The crew also smoked cigarettes in the truck the entire time so all of our belongings still smell of smoke. One of the crew members in CA, Paul, mentioned he was one of the owners so I am surprised he would smoke in a truck with someone's furniture, clothing, and rugs. When the crew left we started to notice all the damage in the photos below. We did try to address with the company but they got extremely defensive and accusatory and started to blame us for the issues of their company. The owner Jonathan told me he cannot find quality employees and that they obviously do not hire people with doctorates so he clearly does not have respect for his crews that work to put food on his table. The last straw for us is when the owner decided to charge our debit card even when I requested to use my Citi Bank card which put us in a bind since we just moved and had to shell out for deposits and pay double rent in the month of May. This company did not care about us or our belongings but most importantly they did not respect their employees and to us that is 100% unacceptable. I cannot recommend to you enough to use another company. Two Men and a Truck in Golden, CO is extremely professional and will take the time needed to ensure your items are wrapped and packed with care. This is just my personal experience, I truly hope this helps someone in the future avoid making the mistake I did by choosing A to B Movers. In response to theit reply on google maps, we never refused to pay. In regards to the third party, he did not know the quality of our items prior to moving so I have gathered the photos I have to provide to him to inform him that he was not accurate. Truly just grateful I had the forethought to get photos since I was using a new company/crew. Lastly we only tipped the crew because they worked hard and stated the issues were not their fault, it was uncomfortable and they put us on the spot this should not be considered a win for this company. We did get the Venmo accounts of all the other employees but they have not been tipped due to the condition of our things. This company has terrible service and as you can see is willing to embellish in order to make themselves look better.
