The contractors who initially built our shower were not competent and Lonnie was very helpful in pointing out the problems with how it was built, while we were soliciting bids. Thank goodness he did, because it prompted us to get our shower rebuilt which saved us from potentially even worse problems we found out later on. There were some delays getting the glass due to supply chain issues, but A to Z was good about updating us on the status of when the glass was going to be completed and ready for installation. Once they had the glass ready, A to Z showed up promptly and had the job completed in a day. From a price perspective, they were about right in the middle of all the bids we solicited, which is worth it when you know you're getting good, quality work done. I had a privacy window that I wanted to have covered because I could see the activity in the shared hallway of my condo building and from the hallways people could see the lights, etc inside my home. In other words the privacy glass wasn't as private as I wanted it to be. The owner Lonnie was very professional. He visited my condo with no charge to take the measurements and provide me with a quote. His prices were competitive. He was able to install the mirror the next day and when I found a small issue with the finished project he came out right away the next day to fix it. I am very happy with the service. We requested an estimate on two windows to be repaired. The estimate was 280.96 per window so we schedule to have one of the two done. We were required to pay half up front, we paid 160.48, they came a week later and repaired window. They did a decent job but charged us 140.48. When we called back to see why it was 20.00 more then the quote we were then told there is a 20.00 convenience fee for using the debit card for two payments. This was fee was never discussed with us. I am not a fan of HIDDEN FEES. So if you hire this company get the estimate on paper with ALL HIDDEN FEES. We would have changed our payment option if we had know. After wasting my time meeting and providing measurements he sends a quote almost double his original price at $380 per window. He promises one thing then deliver another. My custom shower door was not installed where it was measured and discussed before the installation. The shower leaks in 2 places. During a shower the water leaks through the door, and the caulking around the other part of the door has already come apart and water is leaking underneath the caulking. After they were paid the second half of the bill (my mistake), they will not follow up. So much for the verbal guarantee. Contacted them via text and all I got were excuses. Bottom line, the shower leaks on both sides after every shower. If you use this company don't pay the balance until you actually use the shower. They will not come back to fix their errors, I do not recommend this company. I have already shared this information on the neighborhood blog. Only gave them 2 stars for the installation although the door leaks. I feel ripped off. read more
