The Regan offers a great selection of rare seeds you can't find at big box stores. When I do splurge on plants I like to do so at the Regan because they will last year after year. This WONDERFUL place has a HUGE assortment of pottery in so many colors, shapes, and sizes. I gotta add that our yards are beautiful thanks to being able to shop there. We get so many compliments from our neighbors and friends about the matching colors and sizes of the planted pottery in our backyard and front yard. I highly recommend you go and look around at the Plant and Pottery Outlet! You won't be disappointed, even my Honeyman enjoys going there, seriously. I understand that staff may have far more plant knowledge than I do, but beginners should still feel comfortable asking questions without being made to feel foolish. I requested a fuller olive tree which they sourced from one of their other locations and it arrived in less than 2 days! I didn't have a vehicle to transport all of my beautiful trees in, and Western Star accommodated the delivery. I never had to fret about it....... The dirt pathways are lined with endless rows of these beautiful flowers. I also saw some cute animal sculptures placed within the garden, and even some real animals on site (cats, horses, etc.). I'm so glad I had the opportunity to stop by on a beautiful Sunday afternoon in May, sunshine mixed with a cool breeze, and just a handful of visitors so it didn't feel too crowded. All the trees are kept in water so they stay fresh, and the staff will make a fresh cut, trim the lower branches, net the tree and tie it to your car. Much cheaper than a tree lot, and the place is decorated so it's still festive. We get our tree here every year, and before that at the Summerwinds in Campbell. I like to put my tree up Thanksgiving weekend and keep it up until after New Year's and our trees from here always last and last. This year we got a handsome 7-foot Douglas fir for $29.99. Christmas is in the air! I also come here for gardening supplies in the spring. Terrific service, friendly staff and good prices. Not quite as cheap as a garden center at a hardware store, but still very reasonable. The quality of the plants and the service is worth it.
