Absolutely delicious!! I've had a lot of pizza in my time, but this is arguably one of the best I've had. I've eaten both the Margherita and the White Pizza and have left satisfied and happy. Service is quick and each pizza pie is freshly made. The calzones and the garlic twists are also wonderfully made. Be forewarned this is a small, hole in the wall place. I've been in Florida for 5 years (From NY) and I just have to accept the pizza game here is never going to be what it is up north BUT...I got a pie from this place a few days ago. I was pleasantly surprised. It's not thin crust but it's not thick and heavy either. I don't like paper thin crust and this was good. It was a step above thin crust. My daughter and I moved to Saint Cloud from New York four years ago and the food from A Touch of Basil is the only in the area that truly reminds us of home. The pizza, pasta and even the heros are all delicious! We've tried many items off the menu and have never been disappointed. My daughter almost always gets the baked ziti and for the first time ever tonight it was too dry, just needed some more sauce and ricotta. This place is a literally a hole in the wall. Not very family friendly. So if your lookimg for a more traditional atmosphere, this is not it. The tables are right near the orderimg and take out counters. Customers who are picking TO GO orders were sitting at tables that should have been used for dine in only. Plus when we trying to eat our, people were constantly bumping into us and our table. The wait/service staff is a bit gruff. The girl seemed to have a attitude, i dont know that was about. The eating space seemed dirty. We brought a friend (a roach) home with out left over boxed pizza. The pizza itself was mediocre unfortunately, with a soggy crust in the middle. The pizza was un-cooked in the center and greasy. Very limited products to drink. They dont even have a Beer and Wine license. We ordered the Tour of Italy, a pizza and stuffed shells. Only 4 stuffed shells came with the order and it was $9.95. Typically when your at an Italian restaurant, bread and saladcome with the dinner. The sauce was watery. The garlic knotts were very good. We were disappointed with our visit. After hearing all the good things about this place, we finally decided to go. What a let down. We should have went to Apps Pizza and Subs. Having had some issues finding a good pie in St. Cloud that my husband enjoys we came across A Touch of Basil. Good NY Style thin crust, the right about of toppings. Sliced well, and flavorful. The cheese is of good quality and the crust has a nice crunch without being overdone. The guys always get the garlic bread, it's so good they devour it in minutes. Florida has the worst pizza ever. This place was decent, if the pizza was cooked all the way. I never have a issue when the Male takes my order. I asked for the pizza to be cooked well done and it is. The female, never gets it right, always puts me on hold, I have to repeat myself several times. Guess what I received from delivery? I have had this pizza a few times. First off I order right at 4, when they open, was told 20 minutes. I showed up at 4:22 having driven from Kissimmee and still had to wait 6 more minutes. We love Italian food and my Grandma does too, so when we came into town and took her out we read a lot of reviews and took her here, it is a hole in the wall which is our favorite kind of place, that's where you get the homemade cooking! We loved everything! The marinara sauce is heavenly! My mouth is watering just thinking about it! We got the garlic knots with sauce for an appetizer not even realizing we would get even more wIth our entree's, they were amazing!! My grandma ordered the spaghetti and a Greek salad, I ordered the Ziti and the mixed green salad, my son ordered the small cheese pizza, and my husband the stuffed shells. We were amazed by the large portion salads and we all loved everything we ate, nice size portions, delicious and definitely worth the money! For dessert we ordered the Faboli and it was fabulous! We also get a ham pizza but the only issue with it is that the ham is cut up really small and not evenly distributed over the whole pie. It was pouring rain on the turnpike and there were all kinds of terrible accidents, so we decided to get off and take U.S. 441 instead. 441 took us through St. Cloud, and we decided to stop and get some dinner. With the help of Yelp, we decided to go to "Bonnie Lee's Fried Chicken." When we arrived, we found that they had closed not twenty minutes before. We were sad, but it turned out alright because that's when we found the unassuming "A Touch of Basil," tucked away in the strip mall right behind Bonnie Lee's. It's not the most beautiful restaurant: there are those awful red and white checkered tablecloths that, I believe, are mailed monthly to every Italian restaurant in America; the kitchen takes up almost the entire floorspace of the unit; and I picked up a tan while walking past the blazing neon signage of the grungy Chinese place next door. I wasn't expecting much. We ordered a whole Sicilian pizza and an order of garlic bread. Quickly, though, we found out why the kitchen was right there in the middle of everything: the guys make everything fresh, right in front of you and right after you order it. When I ordered the garlic bread, I was expecting something resembling those frozen Texas Toast things to come out in a red, plastic basket. I was wrong. The garlic bread (which cost about $1.25) turned out to be a whole load of French bread cut in half, doused in hot garlic butter, parsley, and Parmesan cheese. It came with marinara sauce and it was fantastic. I watched the guy pull our giant pizza out of the oven: it was a hot, bread-y rectangle of browned cheesy goodness. The crust was a little too brown, so I was very afraid that we had ordered the kind of Sicilian pizza that is so crunchy that it cuts one's mouth all up -- worst feeling in the world, if you wondered. Again, I was wrong. It was cooked perfectly: simultaneously soft, chewy, and crunchy. The pizza cost $11.00. With the sodas, I payed about $17.50. A pizza half the size of the one I got here would have cost me more than that at Pizza Hut. I was disappointed when I saw that this place had no review on Yelp. Well, now it does. These guys make good, fresh food for cheap. That doesn't happen often nowadays. People of Saint Cloud, help them stay in business. read more

Chef Fabio is awesome at making that authentic thin crust that lovers of NY Style pizza crave.
