When I politely asked how much longer it would be, her response was snippy and unprofessional. She even asked, "Why? Do you have somewhere else you need to be?" I explained that I had another appointment and would need to call and push it back. Her only response was an annoyed sigh. I had to decline an originally planned part of my service because the new product (an only option) used has something I'm allergic to in it. Throughout the service, she barely spoke to me and only offered to count down halfway through the wax appointment. It was more painful than usual and felt very rushed. Her overall demeanor made me feel like she was annoyed to be there--or at least annoyed to be working with me. To make matters worse, it has been two days since my appointment and I have not received any follow-up survey, which is usually standard. This is not the level of professionalism I expect, and it made the entire visit uncomfortable. I doubt I will return to this establishment and will definitely decline service from this technician.

I don't know how the salon world really works, I suppose. What I DO KNOW is that Kim is amazing. She's the nicest lady, and remembered me even though I didn't come in for, like, three months. The front desk staff at Humphrey's had screwed up my scheduling initially - like, I was supposed to be on the books, but found out they cancelled my appointment without telling me - and that was in February...since then, I've missed an appointment (they didn't call to remind me of the appointment, either, which is weird) and had to reschedule. When I went yesterday, I found out that Humphrey's is under new management, which explained all the confusion. But my review is on Kim - she's amazing at what she does - and she does hair waxing and sugaring. You can't find sugaring ANYWHERE else...it's safer, cleaner, and just slightly less painful than waxing. Kim is very thorough and makes you feel SO COMFORTABLE, despite the fact that she is, in fact, ripping out your hair from its roots. The prices are slightly steep, but comparable to what other salons are charging for waxing. Apparently she does FULL BODY hair removal, too. Just in case you were wondering. The headband she attempted to put in broke twice which means she didn't put it on right. I ended up having to put it on myself. I stated multiple times I just washed my hair and did not want to get anything in my hair. She failed to listen or be careful and I left with a big glob of goo in my hair. The front desk girl was less than helpful and had zero care or empathy. No apology was given. She said "what am i supposed to do about that?" Ummm do you have a tissue at least?
