Short story Long, this spa saved my sanity literally. Feel free to skip my drama and read the review about the spa and the attendants. I had one of the worst 36 hours starting with driving 15 hrs with my son to bring him back to college. At 2:30am when we arrive to the hotel, get told the hotel was oversold (Hyatt Place TCU) and they didn't have a room for us. After driving to another hotel and getting very little sleep, I help carry all my son's stuff to his new apartment and unpack and then waitlist myself for an earlier flight. I'm at the airport waiting to be taken off the waitlist and even though they have plenty of seats don't alert me until 30 minutes before takeoff and when I get my new ticket to check in, I'm told it's too late to check in my bag and I'll have to take the later flight which is another six hours away, so like American Airlines! And the attitude! Not necessary After having a meltdown and calling a dozen spas who were booked, by chance Spa Habitat was able to get me in for a facial and massage. Diana was my aesthetician and Jessica was my massage therapist and I want to give a huge shout out to them and the reservationist. The property is very clean and quiet and nice smelling. The retail space was nicely displayed. Everyone there smiled and said hello when passing. I had such a lovely experience and their positive attitudes, smiles and treatments were excellent. I normally don't engage when getting these treatments as I like to relax but Diana and Jessica were so interesting and interested. The prices were beyond reasonable too. I'm doing a new review since it has been a while. I have never had a bad massage here. Somehow they find the best masseuses around. I get Terra Firma which is sort of a deep tissue and they are always amazing. I go in with my body in shambles needing a massage badly then leave feeling so much better. This is not a full on spa but it doesn't need to be. It's an organic type of place and it's my go to if I need a massage not a spa. Nice people, good products... parking can be challenging but always a great experience! read more

So this review is for the ultrasound facial with Becca. So I basically wanted a facial to get my skin glowing for an upcoming wedding. Initially I thought I wanted the microdermabrasion facial but after talking to Becca about my skin she recommended the ultrasound since it's be more gentle but still exfoliating. The facial consisted of a cleanse, then initial treatment with the ultrasound that sounds/feels kinda like a hair trimmer on your face. Then she exfoliated with a scrub, and then used the ultra sound again. Then she put a mask on me and while the mask was resting, she massaged my neck, shoulders and arms with a hot stone and it felt AMAZING. Once she was done she added a couple products to my face and used the ultrasound to help them absorb. The end result was fantastic! My skin looked tighter, my pores were MUCH smaller (almost non-existent) and my skin was nice and dewy. My makeup is going on smoother and I've been receiving compliments ever since! While it was a wonderful experience, I would definitely say this cost a pretty penny. With gratuity it came out to $189. If I didn't have a gift card I don't think I'd pay that much out of pocket, but that's just me! A lot of people have commented on how they felt like they're pushy with their products, I didn't think so. Yes, they mention it and offer to added to your total at the end, by no means did I think they were pushy about it. read more

I recently moved to the area from California and after weeks of moving boxes and furniture my body needed some relief. I scheduled a 50 minute massage with Michael. Being unfamiliar with the area and no thanks to my car's GPS, I was having a hard time finding the location. I called about 5 minutes before my appointment time to apologize for being late and they couldn't have been nicer about it all. They stayed on the line with me until I found them and assured me it was no problem... they would just push my appointment back. I felt like a horrible slob when I arrived, but they were beyond nice to me. If this happened back on the left coast, I would have been told to not bother coming and charged. Michael was waiting and showed me into the massage room. He confirmed what I was there for, told me what to expect, gave clear instructions, and asked if I had questions. The massage was great meaning the pressure was what I asked for, the atmosphere/music appropriate, facility was spotless, Michael's professionalism spot on, and I left rejuvenated. My only regret was that I didn't schedule a longer session. Live and learn. I lived in horribly overpriced San Francisco for so long and forgotten what things cost in the real world so the prices seemed quite reasonable to me. I'll absolutely go back. read more

What an amazing experience! Amber did my massage and she was so, so great! I haven't been that relaxed in a while and she worked my muscles out so well I'm pretty sure I turned to actual jelly! Amy did my facial and she was so sweet! She customized my facial to my dry skin needs and explained everything she was using and why. I appreciate that they sell the products they use, but they were in no way pushy. I ended up getting some of the lemon body oil and I can't wait to use it to keep my skin silky! Staff is very friendly and accommodating. I always choose deep tissue massages and the one at Spa Habitat is very light, more relaxing than working tension and knots out. My biggest complaint is that the massage itself was barely 45 minutes. No one waiting when I got there or when I left so it would have been nice to get the full 50 min I paid for. Also $10 hot stone upgrade isn't worth it - just a minute or 2 of massage with the stone and it's done. Still giving 4 stars for overall experience - really enjoyed the heated pillow and eye mask. read more

Just finished a massage at the Southlake location with Crystal. Simply the best I have ever experienced. Judy the manager was extremely helpful and the receptionist was very friendly. Overall experience was just 5 stars all the way. I have been all over to many spas including Burke Williams and this little spa is far superior to all places I have tried including hand and stone, elements spa and massage envy. Then I had Amber for a 80 minute deep tissue Greenpeace massage. I don't know if words can explain how amazing I felt when I was done. I had to sit in the waiting area for a few minutes to collect myself as I was laughing from the euphoria and feeling the best I have felt since I can remember. Meh is the best word to describe this place. They might get more stars if their prices matched the service. Their prices are that of a luxury spa, which they are NOT. The waiting room was meh. Just a very small room with a couch.They only offer tea and water, no wine or champagne. (this should have been my first clue.) I booked the deep tissue massage and a soon as I walked in the room she let me know it was not possible to give a full body deep tissue massage. Which was weird b/c a) I had booked a fill body deep tissue massage and b) I've had one before. I started to get a little worried. The massage itself, which is most important, kind of reminded me of Ross from Friends giving a massage. Random and like she wasn't quite sure how to fill the 80 minutes. I would not have been surprised if she pulled out Tonka trucks to roll down my back. I've never had a massage I could wait to be over. I almost just hopped off the table and said "Im good! Thanks!" They had this weird acoustical rock/Scifi music playing the whole time that I did not care for. Note to owners: There is nothing wrong with good all fashion "spa" music. No heating table, no offer of a blanket, none of the little pampering extras I am used to when getting a $150 massage. The spa is over all clean and smells nice. It's small, with one changing room. While they are very pricey they don't offer a variety of beverages, no champagne- no bottled water- just tap and tea. The services are less than average, way over priced- and are really just a face wash and a lotion rub. I had a $220 package including a massage and facial- MASSAGE: when I let my masseuse know what areas were bothering me most she let me know I hadn't paid to be instructing her, and IF I wanted to purchase a different package I'd be able to give her notes. Despite being told a desired level of pressure, she stuck to surface level touching and rubbing of oil. She continued to sell and sell throughout the entire service making it not relaxing. Pushing EVERY product they had. This will do this. This will do that. FACIAL: When I called to book, I confirmed that the facial would include extractions. I let my esthetician know that was my biggest concern, I had great skin and wanted to focus on the blackheads on my nose and the tiny pores I couldn't see. Instead- we extracted for maybe 50 seconds, rubbed oils and scrubs on my face for 45 mins and I walked out looking and feeling the same. My boyfriend got a facial at the same time as me and his esthetician talked during his entire service as well and it cost him $400+ I would NOT recommend. read more

Whatever the oil she used to massage, had no smell whatsoever, the uptown location is so aromatic even before they use oils on you. No relaxing music playing, I asked the therapist to increase pressure from medium to more, no change, barely felt massaged. At the end, she recommended a longer massage next time and products at end. I give this place only one star and that's because it was beautiful inside and smelt amazing. I came in for a hot stone couples massage for me and my boyfriend, and we added on deep tissue to both of our massages. I have to say that was a really horrible experience for both me and my boyfriend. I'm a service provider myself and I was really appalled by the lack of customer service the technicians had. He just got some bad news and he was really looking forward to this massage. It started as soon as they picked us up. My boyfriends therapist came in the relaxation area and grabbed the intake forms, didn't even introduce herself then went to the front and both came to get us, they greeted us without smiles or a pleasant introduction. We both looked at each other like this is weird? When we got into the room my therapist took about 10min explaining the products they use and how to pick essential oils. When they got into the room it was already 15 after our scheduled time and we got there 15min before our appointment. Both therapists didn't give a deep tissue massage like we requested, I asked mine if she could go deeper but she disregarded what I asked. My boyfriends therapist kept clanking the rocks together she even hit him on the head by accident with a rock. He specifically asked her to work more on his lower back and legs because he had an injury where he couldn't walk for a week his back hurt so bad, she didn't focus on that at all. When the massage was over we looked at each other with disappointment, we also had so much oil on our bodies it got all over our clothes, no hot towels were used for removal of the oil. The massage ended at 1:50, which it should have if they didn't start 15min late. When we left my boyfriend told me she hardly spoke to him at all. I told the front desk the massage wasn't good and they didn't give us a deep tissue like we requested and she told me she could only take off one deep tissue, but we both didn't receive it. When I got in contact with the general manager a proper fix to this should have been to offer us comped treatments with different technicians seeming as I am a very upset client having spend over $300.. we received a less than partial refund. read more
