For well over 12 months I looked for a title and even hired an interior designer out of Incline to help find that perfect back-splash. No luck. I just so happened to come across JF Tile & Stone looking for a counter-top solution for a office area I was creating and was dumbfounded over the massive sample options. The staff are friendly and genuinely helpful. The gal I met there put me in touch with the owner Jennie. Actually, Jennie contacted me via text message and we bantered back and forth and I send her photos of my entire kitchen and VOILA! In a few moments found that perfect back-splash tile solution. In fact, she never even needed to come to the house. I drove out to her office and picked up the samples and loved them before I even got home to demo them out. I'd like to note that she is trusting. She let me take home an entire huge bock of tiles to try out! No deposit or anything. She simply trusted me. That's really sweet! Of course, I went with her pick and I couldn't be happier. In fact, and this is for the next review, she coordinated/recommend an installer and whoa. AMAZING! As you can see from the photo that is shared... PERFECTION! Of all my home ownership/tile picking and installation experiences. JF Tile & Stone is the finest and painless experience I have ever had. Don't let Jennie fool you. She is an interior designer of her own right :) Jeannie is a super star!

Discovered Erica through Yelp !!!…read more So glad we met several years ago. Over the last four years I have used her company several times. In 2016 I purchased a townhouse that was built in 1978. Needless to say it needed some updates. Erica came to the house a couple of times with paint chips to help pick colors, and to measure floors. Then she was available at ProSource to walk me through LVP flooring. I purchased the downstairs flooring in 2018. Erica gave me the fabulous recommendation of doing the entire floor at once. I love the floor so much, I bought another pattern with her help this spring for my upstairs workspace and hallway. Both LVPs are very different, but so beautiful and EASY to take care of. She always has a great list of installers and painters to use. It makes it less daunting to have a professional like Erica to have already worked with them. She makes my updates easier and less stressful. Maybe next year we'll work on a new bathroom.

I wanted to knock out a wall, expand the closet, reshape the bathroom to create a better space, a more useful space. I had to ask for a card. As time carried on, the purpose of this remodel changed too. I was promoted and relocating. My needs changed. I needed a professional to help stage my home and help with some minor repair work. Erica and her team accepted the challenge. There were and there are always hurdles to overcome. The first hurdle was a timeline that included a professional photographer provided by my real estate agent. The second hurdle was my schedule. My new job included weekly travel. I wouldn't be around for the Q&A that might arise. I needed someone that I could trust with a key and very little supervision. Except for those calls where the voicemail message begins with 'we need to talk'. From the initial consultation to the pictures, Erica had everything under control. She had a blank canvas and an appropriate budget. Within a few weeks, I had plants, mirrors, many new pictures, and a variety of shaped vases. I almost forgot about the new throw pillows. It worked. Erica's about the details. Her setup even included the tissue boxes scattered through out my home. The day of the pictures, Erica assisted while my real estate agent and her photographer found new ways to use flash photography in my home. In the 24 days that my home was listed, we had 25+ showings. Many of the showing feedback sheets noted the staging and professionalism of my home. I owe those compliments to Erica and her team at Turn Key Decor.

We met Leslie and Lisa from Mindful Design and reviewed their proposed designs. While my aunt and I had brainstormed some ideas, I was initially concerned with a few of their choices. When we presented our revisions in person, many of our suggestions were dismissed. As the project progressed, several issues became apparent. For example, Leslie initially dismissed the arched mirrors we chose for the bathroom, claiming they wouldn't fit the space--but they ended up fitting perfectly. Unfortunately, other elements of the design were far less successful. Leslie's furniture and art selections felt cheap and were poorly proportioned for the space. Additionally, the overall execution was subpar. My aunt had to hire a contractor to fix numerous issues, including custom beams on the ceiling that were falling down, and didn't meet the walls properly, a raw wood band on the hood with visible nail holes, and a light fixture in the dining room that was 2 feet off-center. There were also significant design flaws that could not be easily corrected without major rework. For instance, one of the shiplap walls was installed backwards, with poorly aligned seams around light switches and electrical outlets. The beams were improperly installed, and the hood over the stove was mismeasured by 4 inches--thanks to Lisa, the owner of Mindful Design--which led to costly custom work that was still unfinished. Despite spending over $100K with Mindful Design, these issues were never fully addressed. Lisa and Leslie failed to take responsibility for their mistakes. They also neglected to inform my aunt about the 90-day return policy for furniture if they ordered it for her, in the end left her to handle returns on her own with a 30-day policy, which was problematic being as she was living out of state at the time. Additionally, basic design principles were overlooked--such as placing a round rug under a round table, which is a basic design misstep. When my aunt left an honest review, Lisa became defensive and dismissive, even attempting to portray herself as a victim of stress, all while failing to manage the project and team professionally. After encountering all of these issues, it's clear that Mindful Design was unprofessional and failed to meet the expectations set for such a costly renovation.
