They have everything from vintage knick knacks to toys to books to small furniture. And clothes, TONS of clothes, all organized by size, style, season...you name it. They also have a large selection of household items, like dishes, bedding, towels, and small appliances. One thing I really appreciate is that they have dressing rooms so you can try things on! Some larger thrift stores have done completely away with this option, and while I understand why, I appreciate the ones who still have them. The line can get a little long at the counter, so keep that in mind if you're there on a busy day. But if you want a great thrifting experience, and to support a lovely small town business, definitely give Island Thrift a try!

She looked very visibly angry when saying this. I apologized and told her that I genuinely thought this was one of the racks on display in the store and backed off it. I hadn't been here before so I didn't know the layout of the store. She didn't say anything to me after that and hurried off away? I tried to go through the rest of the store but, after that the vibe was just off and I had to leave. Not sure if I will come back. At least not for awhile. Overall the store is very organized and clean. The clothing selection isn't the most stylish but, they can't help want gets donated to them. Would have liked it more if my visit had been better.

The shop is well organized and there seems to be a good turnover of items. I visit whenever I'm in La Conner (about once every month or two) and I rarely see the same items sitting for too long. The staff (who I think are all volunteers) are always helpful and friendly, too. They're quick to offer assistance, wrap up a breakable item, or answer a question. On my most recent visit, which was yesterday, I was excited to see they had some nice Christmas items in stock - including a Christmas 50% off table, and even some beautiful 1980s era Christmas china. I've always wanted a whole set of Christmas china, but had to resist the temptation to buy it. Should have grabbed a pic as it was quite lovely!

The displays were very well organized and it was easy to find things, although there didn't seem to be a lot in any particular category. It was still fun to look around and see what they had. I was most interested in any fabric or craft supplies. There wasn't anything I couldn't live without, though I was definitely tempted by a gigantic knitting needle. While I hunted for crafts, the dude pored through their book section. And while we left without buying anything, I could definitely see adding this to our thrifting rotation when we're in the area.

This business owner is relatively new to the Whidbey island community…read more The owners of this business is also engaging in buying pallets of illegal fireworks and this last week the genius decide to smoke dabs next to 700 pounds of fireworks that they had stored in the living room of their double wide. Then recently the "man " of the couple returned to smoke again on the property and start a fire. Our neighbors just below this load have told us that this guy was selling the fireworks that have made our street a war zone during the Fourth of July. It's been miserable here since this has proliferated!! This completely destroyed their recent home and the one next door displacing an 85 year old renter that doesn't know where she will go next. It also significantly destroyed the neighboring home on the other side of a valued community member that runs a non profit food pantry that has had to recently move operations to her home after at Mother's Day flood at the storefront in Langley. She is now being harassed by the owner with the smoking problem including a second fire set next to her fence gate. Read the news. Judge for yourself. This business in my opinion should not get any love or support in our community as they are more of a problem than a positive attribute! It's just an outsider with no concern except profit while living here.
