I unfortunately had a very different experience than the other reviewers here. Had it not been for a coworker who was happy with the results, I would not have left the fate of my brows in her hands. My first mistake was that I booked via her IG December $100 off promo deal. My second, was to book the consult on the same day as the microblading 2 hour session. Yes, I was THAT committed to getting this done. On the day of, I was stressed because her text messages instructed to bring the eyebrow pencil that I regularly use "for color purposes," to be 5 minutes early, and that 10+ minute delay will result in automatic cancellation. I was 5-minutes drive out from my home when I remembered the brow pencil and knew I'd be 10 minutes late if I went home. When I arrived to the appointment, she was busy with another customer. The place looked immaculate and furnished welL.so I felt better. She came out to greet me and gave me forms to sign. 10 minutes later she came out and put numbing cream on both eyebrows while she finished with her other customer. During consult, when I shared that I had forgotten my eyebrow pencil, she told me that it didn't matter because she will pick the color to match my natural hair color. Then, I showed 2 photos of the brows (of my own face), explaining that I wanted a soft, rounded arch. I also showed photos of the type of eyebrows I did not want to limit confusion. She then mapped my brows while I wore my mask the entire time. When she was done mapping, I was in shock because it did NOT look like what I had asked for. I expressed ny concern in so many different ways, but she rebutted everything--I showed the 2 photos again, telling her that the brows she drew are way more angled and arched than the photo. I even pointed to the eyelid space between my eyes and brows with my fingers im the photo to show her how the gap is smaller compared to larger gap on my mapped face. But her response was, "It's perfectly mapped to go with the shape of your natural brow bone's highest point." I then told her the arch on my left eye was higher than my right eye on her sketch and that since I intentionally draw my left brow lower and right brow higher to balance my face, I want her to adjust it so it looks even. She pulled out her tools, put it against both my eyebrow arches and said , "It's even at the same height." Then, I shared that my eyebrows on the left eye were longer than my right eyebrow. She brought out her measurer again but reluctantly extended it. Basically, I was being told in every which way that I was wrong and she had done everything right. I should have probably walked out at that point. But after multiple pushbacks, I started thinking I was the one in the wrong. After all, she's the expert, right? An educator? When I asked what color she was going to use, she said "dark brown." And then the killer line was dropped..."Don't worry, I got you. I've been doing this for years. Brows are my jam." I didn't get to see my brows after this point until it was done. I heard her say repeatedly, "your brows look sooo good, you're going to love it" while I laid there desperately hoping that I would love them, too. Well, I was not jumping for joy at the reveal. Everything was rushed after that, including the after care instructions. Given that this was my first-time microblading, I decided to consult with several other artists and was told that for one, it is odd my eyebrows were mapped with my mask on-- mapping without a mask is necessary to see the nose width to make sure it's proportionate to features and balanced. Second, I learned that some artists use color charts, do color test on the skin, and do custom colors...it's not based on natural hair color since people vary in their preferences. Last, I was told that the brows I got do NOT look like the photo I had shown. I was advised to go back to her to save money or ask her to salvage, and that they don't want to work over another artist's mistake until it's faded. I mean, she fixes other peoples brows and teaches, right? But honestly, I wasn't feeling comfortable to go back because if she couldn't listen and disregarded my feedback during the first visit, then what were the chances that it would be any different? But to give her the benefit of the doubt, I texted her and didn't hear back for 10 days. She finally responded on her IG and upon expressing how I felt, she said it's an "easy fix" along with how I had agreed to the brows she drew.The conversation ended with, "Ok, I'm sorry that you feel that way however I did tell you that It would be a easy fix. I do handle all of my appointments the same way & absolutely you agreed to shape." It baffles me that this person is a trainer and fixes brows. They say photos are worth a thousand word, so you be the judge.They are not bad brows, I just look angry and gotta live with an intense RBF for the next year. What do you think? read more

The procedure room was very clean and smelled of disinfectant. You can tell she takes time out to make sure her procedure room is sterile and that meant a lot to me especially in these trying times. The anesthesic that was applied beforehand worked beautifully for me and I actually didn't feel a thing. I decided to to my 6 month microblading apprenticeship with Alease because her Salon is just down the street from my house and I really love her work. She also has a lot of great reviews on Yelp and other sites. I would go in for my apprenticeship a few days every week for six months. Honestly, every time I went in to shadow her I always learned something new because she's wad always expanding her own knowledge and teaching me new tips/tricks she learned. Most days I would shadow her and help prep for the next client, but other days she would have me practice eyebrow mapping and stroke patterns so help me get more comfortable with microblading. She would also talk to me about different experiences I might encounter and how to deal with them in the industry. Everything combined helped me gain confidence to do microblading on my own. After about 4 months I finally brought in my first client and it was smooth sailing. I knew exactly what to do and I wasn't really that nervous. Alease was there the whole time to watch me and give me guidance when needed. My first client was very satisfied with her brows. I couldn't have asked for a better outcome. Since my first client, I have been working on models to gain more experience. It really takes time to get comfortable with all aspects of the business, but I honestly don't think I could have done it without my apprenticeship with Alease because she always worked very closely with me and helped me with anything I wad struggling with. I went here to try the new "hylaron pen" she is advertising. It was the worst experience of my life. It ended with me in the ER and my friend $200 short with no signs of fillers. (The following is a brief insight of my experience but is not limited to what is stated) To begin, the sanitation factor was beyond belief. The vibrating tool was used on my friends lips of which were bleeding and then immediately transferred to my lips which were also bleeding because she was trying to "reduce the swelling". The bed was not wiped down between clients, further leading to the spread of disease since we were both bleeding while under her care. Her carelessness resulted in me going to the ER as demanded by real medical professionals I had showed my injury to. After being taken to the ER, the doctors were appalled by her work and told me they needed to run tests immediately to ensure the tissue was not necrotic or clotting which could spread to other major vessels. A vein was broken due to the improper placement of the pen, resulting in a hematoma. Alease is not versed with medical terminology and did not know the difference between a hematoma and a bruise. And she is still telling potential clients that the only risk she knows of is swelling and bruising. She is not telling them about the HEMATOMA I had developed while under her care. I would also like to add the blatantly obvious fact of how my friends face was not marked at all with the pencil prior to her fillers being administered. Alease told me (which was documented) that the pencil is required in order to know proper placement of the pen. This could be why my friends face is now lopsided. I paid $200 for 1mL of filler and it was not all used due to my medical emergency that resulted from her malpractice. She gave both my friend and I the left over filler to take home which is unprofessional and unsanitary because she advertised that we could come back for a $50 service fee and she'd put it in. Every professional cosmetic office I have been to, keeps the left over fillers for a week that belong to that client and then disposes of them in a proper chemical waste bin if the client does not wish to return. I would also like to add that my friends filler as well as mine was completely gone within 48hrs and Alease is advertising that it lasts 3-6 months. THAT IS A LIE!! Honestly pay the extra couple hundred dollars to get fillers from a real medical professional. The hylaron pen does not work nor is it "painless". I am now out thousands of dollars due to her inexperience. She even told me the next day on the phone (which is documented) she was not in the right state of mind that day she did my procedure. read more
