They do what they say they'll do on time and for about the same money and are helpful, not insistent or demanding. Don't bite on Prepared Legal's advertised $50 per-service rate. Can hardly wait to see how the staff-sargeant woman at Prepared Legal justifies how she mistreated me. This is a money-first outfit.

So court date came and went, and my case was thrown out because of bad service. This is my first small claims case, I never received a deposit return from a previous landlord and am now having to figure out the process to get the deposit back. I would have appreciated a little more info on what my next steps would have been after service, since she does this for a living. I would have paid the filing fee to save myself the headache. Instead I was just told "everyone knows that" over the phone in the courthouse. But, aside from that, but the original forms she supposedly mailed to me never arrived. So even if I knew what to do with them, I don't have them. And on top of it all I'm out another $60 because I was refused a refund, I have to pay ANOTHER process server to do this whole thing again along with the court fees, and I have to take another day off work.
