Finally tried this place in yaohan mall. Yes, they do use fresh mangoes. But packaging efforts needs to be improved. Whatever is advertised in the boards, isnt what is given to you. I do like the fresh concept of using real Mangoes instead of puree. Service can be a bit slow as they only have a couple of blenders. Overall, its a good healthy dessert after a hearty meal. We came here because our first choice Mango bubble tea spot had a long line for ordering. A Whole Mango had a crowd in front of it, but most, if not all, of them were waiting to pick up their orders. They need a better system. Feel free to wander off and check out the other spots in the food court in the meantime! They will call your number when your drink is ready. There was only one other person ordering. Drink: Most of their drinks were priced between $7 and $8. Most people were taking advantage of the buy 3 get 1 free deal. Mango Lover - $7.65. Fresh mango, coconut milk, sago, and grapefruit. Taste: 7/10. DID THEY USE A WHOLE MANGO??!??! We couldn't see. However, you could see the mango chunks and other toppings in this drink. The combination tasted great. The drink's price is more or less in line with what other shops are charging now, which is quite high. Inflation has made it harder to enjoy things these days. Came across A Whole Mango while shopping around Yaohan Centre. My first reaction to seeing this shop was... 'wow a whole mango in a drink?' . I ordered the mango jasmine tea drink and first of all.... The number ordering system was quite confusing. They didn't call out numbers when it's ready so there was a stockpile of orders just waiting for people to pick up. The drink itself was nothing too special? For advertising as a whole mango in a drink... I definitely did not taste much mango. It mainly tasted like jasmine tea. For those who don't like jasmine tea I would not recommend this drink.. it was very strong even for an avid tea drinker myself. As for the mango portion, it was more so mango puree than anything. First time coming to this mall but came in for the tnt market and saw this store opened called a whole mango. That is what draw me to this place. Seeing that no one was really there we order our drinks and there were two workers. I appreciate that they were open but we waited a good 30 minutes before we even got our drinks. As a mango lover I had to try this place. When I got here, there were maybe 5 people in line but it moved quickly. I chose the "mango lover" which was a mango smoothie with small tapioca pearls and mango chunks. I'm not sure I would consider it a typical smoothie since it was thin (but not watery), it seemed more like a thick juice to me. I actually prefer this texture over something thick and icy, so this was a plus for me. It came out fairly quickly despite them being so busy, and tasted extremely fresh and delicious. I had to stop myself from chugging it immediately lol. It was bigger than the picture on the menu so that was a nice surprise. The order pickup system was not great though. For some reason they were not using the order pickup window and instead were handing out orders at the same cashier station, so this created a small crowd and some confusion. The big question is: is there really a whole mango in each drink? I unfortunately did not find a solid answer during this visit; since they make multiple drinks at once I just saw a big pile of mango chunks go into a huge blender that made maybe 3-4 drinks. Judging by what I saw with the blender, and the strong mango flavour of my drink, I think it's reasonable that each drink could contain the equivalent of a whole mango - maybe a small mango, but a mango nonetheless. The Mango Lover did not resemble the picture from the menu. The whole drink was very diluted with water and they used minimal sago, pomelo, and coconut cream and you could hardly taste them. It was worth half the price. For the Mango Snow, they had 'Organic Jasmine' in Chinese but not in English and we could not taste any Jasmine. Also, they had 'Raindrop Jelly' and 'Crystal Jelly' for the same Chinese word, and 'Whipped Cream Cheese' and 'Milk Snow' for the same Chinese term but these were two different products. In this way, they could just put whatever they like into the drinks and we could not argue with them because they could follow the Chinese translation while the customer was following the English translation. Their Chinese translation for the ingredients did not match the English translation. This is not right. There was not a whole mango in each drink as advertised. They misled customers in multiple ways. read more
