After calling he told her that the part was in Ottumwa and he simply didn't have time to go get it. After calling a week later he changed his story to it having just come in THAT day into Ottumwa instead. Two weeks later they showed up on a Friday around noon. It was the owner and his assistant. The owner has a bad back and can't stand without a cane. His cursing was unending. He yelled at his employee the whole time. Flopped onto the floor and crawled around screaming and cursing the whole time to get to the machine. They were just picking it up as they had to do the repair in their shop, which is less than 2 blocks from our house. As they got it loaded and out the door they were going to leave. I stopped them as they left the water RUNNING in streams down the wall. They came back in and tried to shut it off with a wrench and broke the valve. So he put on a hose and crimped it and said if it leaks to get a ****ing bucket. I asked when it would be done and he said, "NEVER considering how I feel today." And true to his word it took ELEVEN MONTHS to replace a simple thing after they took it. Fortunately our landlords gave us a replacement while waiting. Wyatt, our technician, was a little frustrated because the tech who inspected our dryer two weeks ago left it unassembled. Sears really needs to figure out the scheduling and notifications. On one occasion, I was sitting at the kitchen table, 15 feet from the front door, when I got a message that the tech had been there, knocked and left. There is a doorbell which he chose not to use. I bill $375 per hour, and wasted about three hours sitting at the house waiting for a tech who either showed up and left, or canceled.
