Let me preface this by saying that management was kind enough to refund my security deposit/rent, even after signing the lease, but I simply could not stay here. Went to move into a NEWLY REMODELED unit in RIDGECREST after weeks of being very patient with management's broken promises to have the unit ready, and I couldn't even stay in the place for one night due to a SEVERE roach infestation. I can handle a couple roaches here and there, but this was a massive problem that was totally intolerable. I noticed roach feces on a bedroom closet door the moment I walked in, in addition to a bedroom window that was completely missing. The contractors were supposed to tape it up "temporarily," with a promise for the window to be replaced the next morning (another lie), but when I got there that night (after spending all day trying to move in - the contractors STILL weren't finished until about 8pm), the tape was in the floor in front of the window with a cigarette put out in the floor, as if someone had broken in. My husband texted management that night to say that we couldn't stay there, the place was completely infested. In the 3 hours we were there, I'd say we saw at least 50 roaches crawling on the walls in EVERY room - not just the kitchen, on us, even in our bed when we tried to lay down, and this was before there was anything in the apartment to attract them. Disgusted, we left, and now we have a roach infestation in our CAR as well! Just a few hours of having a few belongings in the unit, and we were carrying roaches back in the car with us! The next morning, management told us to come bring back the key and they'd give us a refund because "they couldn't continue this relationship." The guy had the nerve to be mad at us because we refused to live in filth! When we went to pick up our stuff, maintenance came to spray for pests, which was laughable. In the time it took for us to walk to our car and back, the guy had came and left. (I'm sure that'll take care of a SEVERE infestation!) lol Even before discovering the infestation, I already had my doubts about wanting to move in after finding out too late (during the lease signing process, after paying deposit and rent, which was strangely requested the day before signing the lease) that the apartments have NO WASHER & DRYER HOOKUPS OR WASHER/DRYERS PROVIDED AT ALL, not even outside the units. I was told tenants weren't allowed to have access of any kind to washers/dryers "for insurance purposes" due to fear of flooding (something I'd never heard of in any other rental property, ever), but I was going to put up with it until I had roaches crawling all over me. read more

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! You have been forewarned! I made the mistake of renting from them. I got behind one payment and not only caught it up but paid all late fees and other B.S. fees and still they reported it on my credit, not just once but twice. Stay away unless you want your life and finances completely ruined. read more
