Was visiting Houston from out of town and a screw had popped off on my bumper and it was flapping in the wind. I had to drive 150 miles back home on a Sunday so I could make work Monday morning. I called some "body shops" but everybody was closed. I found 2 guys A1 Autobody and this other guy. The other guy wanted me to go to Home Depot and bring him something - while A1 was like I can most likely fix it given the pictures. I was a little reluctant to spend money from somebody on Yelp and not an official body shop. But, I wasn't in a position to really wait and shop around. I didn't know what to expect but when I got to the location this guy was prepared and I could quickly tell he knew his stuff. I felt very comfortable having him work on my car and feel like I got lucky to find him. I have driven 200 miles since, and my car looks great - panels are secure. With the remaining time he offered to fix some dings and gave me the rundown of what could be a quick-fix vs. time-intensive. Bobby has a lot of experience with body work. This is like directly dealing with the guy that will touch your car rather then go to shop, schedule an appointment, and wait around. Overall, very happy and would recommend again. read more

Okay so I had in contact with many body shops and they wanted to charge me 1,000 to repair my truck. Thinking of saving money I used Bobby instead to see about repairing my issue. We agreed on $300 to remove dent and make the truck look more presentable. Truck looks little better I mean you paid what you get. Like another ladies post our service sounds very similar. They showed up at the accident and towed my car and the other person's car to their shop. When we told them we needed to have it moved for our insurance adjuster to check out the car and all the things wrong. They told my husband they took my car apart all ready! Which shocked us they didn't even have the car for 24 hours at that point. The accident happened on the 11th. Then when my husband asked they started complaining about my insurance company "not working with them." There was a lot of back and forth with our insurance company and them. I've never had such a headache and felt as stressed out on having my car fixed by someone. Finally the insurance agreed to have them check out our car there. The adjuster agent had a hesitancy in his voice. Asking why we picked them? Told him the story and also that they told us they took our car apart already. He said that was a lie it was in the same state as it came from the accident. Which really upset me that same day my husband tried to reach them by phone. They hardly ever answer. My husband left them a voice mail stating we were having the car moved to another place. I had a gut intuition about them. Then read the other ladies post that sounded similar. I just hoped it didn't go as far as hers did when trying to move it.They pretty much pressure and make you feel bad for them. The company claimed we signed papers agreements to have them fix the car. Which was a bold face lie that never happened. Then they told our insurance they order the "parts" to fix it and started work on it. Which also was a HUGE LIE! We were trying to get it moved so my husband went up there to speak with them out of our frustration with them and how they do business. They said ok our insurance was going to try and come to an agreement on charges. The insurance would pay for storage fees and secretary fees which is only supposed to be around 100. Which this sounds oddly familiar to the other lady a few comments down. They tried to charge her 600 dollars for that 1000 for sending the pieces back they ordered. Also the claim they had worked on my car. My insurance wanted pictures and proof of it all! They told my husband they came to an agreement with my insurance on price and would release our car to get picked up. My husband said that my car hadn't been touched since the accident he took pictures. It took between them fighting back and forth with my insurance for my car to get picked up on the 6th. They in the beginning they would save whatever our deductible was. We wouldn't have to pay them. An insurance person told me what shop's do they don't so 250 to 500 dollars worth work. So if you get in another accident that spot will not be put in to get fixed. Which was never explained to me at all. I would have told them no thanks fix my car properly. It was close to being with them a full darn month ! Stay AWAY especially MILITARY. I will be having myself and my husband going to JAG to see if there are other complaints to get them black listed. I know my insurance will more than likely not allow anyone of their customers to work with them after our ordeal. Unless you are a complete fool and willing to take their word as Bible they will rip you off. The secretary and one of the business owners are both extremely unprofessional with how bad they spoke about my insurance company and putting all the blame and issues on them. Once again stay far away. If I could give a negative stars I would. I've had plenty of work done due to accidents and my insurance has always been great never any headaches so it was solely this bodyshop. read more
