B&M Mobile Auto Body Repair - Extremely Unprofessional, Poor Work, and Ghosted After Payment I hired Barry McGill of BM Mobile Auto Body to fix cosmetic damage on two vehicles. This turned into one of the worst service experiences I've had. First car - surprise charges and poor business practices Barry completed the main repair on the first vehicle, which initially looked acceptable. However, when we asked him to go over a couple of very minor additional spots (a dent and some scratches), he did the work without providing a new quote or asking for approval, and then tacked on an extra $200 after the fact. We never agreed to this price increase in advance. Any reputable business discusses costs before doing additional work--this alone should have been a red flag. Second car - made it WORSE The second vehicle had a tiny scratch that was not visible from outside the car. Barry decided to "repair" it by dabbing what looked like nail polish on the surface. He insisted it was a "perfect color match" and claimed it would "look like it never happened" once it dried. Instead, it looks far worse than before. The repair is obvious, sloppy, and amateurish. Anyone with basic auto body experience would recognize this as unacceptable work. Broken promises and ghosting Barry told me that if it didn't look perfect the next day, he would come back for free and make it right. The next day, I called him -- he told me to "give it a few more days." A few days later, he promised to come back at an agreed-upon time. He didn't show. Hours later, after I chased him down, he claimed his grandfather was in the hospital. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and told him to come when convenient. He said Saturday. Saturday came -- no Barry. After multiple texts, he said he got busy on another job and promised to arrive by 2 PM. He never showed, and now appears to have blocked my number or stopped responding entirely. Of course, this all happened after he had already been paid. Total disrespect for our time I left work early on a weekday to meet him. We rearranged our entire Saturday to be home waiting for him. He wasted our time repeatedly with zero accountability. Lack of professionalism Barry smoked a cigarette in our driveway while reviewing the job and left the cigarette butt behind. This may seem minor, but it reinforces the overall lack of professionalism and respect. Bottom line Surprise charges without approval Substandard, amateur-looking work Broken promises Repeated no-shows Complete lack of follow-through once paid This business is unreliable, unprofessional, and not qualified to perform proper auto body work. Barry McGill started off professional, but the moment I informed him of the botched job he did he immediately stop responding to me. He was so eager to provide service, but not as eager to correct the botched job he did. I sent pictures of what his work looks like. The paint did not have a smooth finish and the areas he sanded were bumpy. He assured me that would go away. When I contacted him, he asked, did you get it waxed and buffed? Now why in the world would I have to do that. He said getting it waxed will fix it. Well a professional wax and buff averages $200. I contacted him and asked him to fix the problem. Well he has gone silent. To be honest I wouldn't let him touch my car again to even attempt to fix it. He does horrible work. This is the worst experience I have had. **Update** A week after Barry fixed my car the repair didn't hold and the front of my car was worse than before he fixed it the first time. The Toyota clips he used for the original repair didn't hold so we called Barry again. He came over right away and said the clips broke. The kids use my car to drive to and from Waco so I'm assuming they could have hit a bird or piece of the road or something but it still broke the front bumper again and it was just hanging in place. Several months have passed and the repair is still holding and looks great! So Barry does warranty his work and he didn't charge us for his 2nd trip to repair the car again. We just sent him a good tip through Zelle since we had very little downtime with the car and saved money for not having to rent a car. I put a consult request in and Berry called me back with 24hrs. I was heading to take my car somewhere else but he matched the price and said he'd come out to my home to fix it. Not only did he come out to fix it he completed the job within 1hr and 30mins as promised (which is why we went with him, the other auto shop wanted to keep the car over night for the quick repair). He did an AMAZING JOB, and Berry was also very professional! We are very satisfied with the finished results. I don't recommend this co for service! Yes came out for the repair, painted the truck. But 1. needed clips and 2. bumper still pulled out, 3. It needs another coat and never showed back up took all the money and not returning phone calls. Bad business and service! read more

I took my Toyota Sienna in for bumper and tailgate repairs four days ago. After the work was completed, I went to pick up the vehicle and was extremely disappointed with the results. The paint job was a complete mismatch, and the bumper was improperly attached, leaving an unsightly gap. When I questioned the technician about these issues, he suggested I come back in a week for further adjustments. I found this frustrating because I had already spent four days waiting for the repairs to be done and incurred an additional $300 for a rental car during that time. I cannot recommend this repair shop due to the poor quality of their work. He knows that the work is not perfect, so I don't understand why he called me to pick up the car. Why should I waste my time? Allstate didn't say anything to me to cover the rental car. Please refer the attached photos after the work. Messed up the trunk. Full dirty. Had major issues with the paint matching being incorrect as the paint company used eyeballed it instead of doing it correctly. The paint also wasn't sanded correctly leaving my car grainy on the surface. There was also some things that weren't fixed that were discussed beforehand and left on my windshield I'll have to get manually repaired. Will end up costing me more to $2k more to repair. The value of work done in regards to how much I paid wasn't equal and I was willing to cut my losses, but he was working with me on a partial refund which he said he would text me about on 8/23. The front bumper cover of my car got messed up, and I called a few body shops for quotes. I tried to bring my own part to save money and most shops do not accept customers bring in parts. Quotes are pretty high for the minor damage in my opinion. I found BM Mobile Autobody and submitted a few photos. Barry is very honest and told me that I do not need to replace the bumper cover.
