However, I knew I needed an upgrade when I started getting texts and calls from my colleagues that 1. They did not believe Halle Berry was working at our school (what? My hair was making me miserable - it was flat, looked oily, dull, etc. So I had decided to chop it all off and mentioned on the phone that I might want some color to which she said no problem and that we would discuss once I saw her. Now, overall I enjoyed my experience. I really appreciated the fact that she was willing to accomodate my wishes and color my hair last minute (after we chopped my hair off). Now, I had just colored my hair black about 3 weeks prior and didnt want a crazy color change just some added dimension with a color we agreed was "mushroom"/ashy brown. She said she would let me know if my hair was lifting okay (I did not want brassy blonde in my hair). After some time passed she said it would be okay. Long story short, I think she overbooked herself from the beginning. She was about 20-30 mins late to take me over to the chair, had someone she was already working on, and had another appointment (came in after me) decide to walk out for 20 minutes while she "finished" working on me. Now with covid happening and given the circumstances I am not complaining about the time and understand businesses need compassion right now. The only issue I have is that I pretty much paid full price, even if it was last minute, for a bit of a rushed result that wasn't entirely what I asked for. Look, the color isn't mushroom and I don't like the way the bangs look. The color on the bangs is brassy, doesn't transition nicely (prob a personal preference thing), and is too much of a contrast from the base color. The blonde on my hair in general looks brassier every day and I knew immediately* after she finished drying my hair that certain parts definitely needed more toning. I did love her coloring technique and again, willingness to go for the look I wanted, she made me feel so much better! I'm giving her 4 stars for a reason! Thank you for that Konstantina. I just could feel her rushing through the last couple of steps which I think led to me not being 100% satisfied given the money I was charged and the time I spent patiently waiting. I can always tell when a hair stylist isnt satisfied with their work when you're the one they don't put up on their instagram that day lol. Moral of the story is to speak up. If I would have said something I'm sure she would have fixed it no problem but I honestly felt bad that she was backed up. I also think as a hair stylist if you know you didnt fully deliver or are rushing you should communicate that to the client and see what the options are. It's the responsibility of the stylist to make sure they have enough time to do what they are agreeing to do for you. I believe she gave me $20 off since it was my first time there so I paid $250 for what I guess is something like a balyage and trim. Overall, I'm happy with the change the color just isn't exactly what I wanted. The bleached hair is dryer than I would like and I'm not happy with the fact that now I'll have to pay more money to have the blonde corrected or toned so early on. Still think she is great! Just wanted to be honest and recommend to not call last minute and to speak up if you need an adjustment on the final product.
