Gus Tan, or his son, I should say, came to my door soliciting seal-coating for my driveway…read more Although I was not actively searching for contractors, the driveway did need a fresh coat, so I accepted the bid his son offered. I was deciding on a time to have the work done when Gus came out of the truck, and immediately jacked the bid by $100 to $350. We discussed the filling of cracks, and patching some low spots, and agreed on $350 (the old bait & switch, but I thought it was a fair, not good, price if the job was done well). The work began immediately. He sprayed the seal-coating, which I have never seen before. I noticed a few footprints, and asked Gus about them, and some brush marks left in the driveway. He told me it was impossible for him to leave footprints. I had my doubts they would "dry out" and be unnoticeable in the morning. Gus' assistant assured me they stand behind their work, and would come back to fix any issues. When I called Gus to have him come out and take a look at a few issues I had with the results of his work, he became aggressive and cursed at me over the phone- real professional... l told him about the footprints and brush marks, which he brushed some material over, and turned a different shade of black. I asked him why he didn't seal the area under the downspout extension which was only attached with one screw. He said he does not remove anything from the house. I was home, and could have done it for him, since he was too lazy to do it himself. He and his crew also left footprints in the the village street, which is an eyesore. I asked Gus what he can do about that and his reply was "Sh^t happens", and was unapologetic. I also informed him of the light and heavy spots, which I believe was a result of a sprayed application. He said he could brush another coat on for $600, or re-spray it for free. He said to let the seal-coating cure for a while and contact him the first week of September to schedule the second coat. When I called him, to schedule, he became very defensive when I told him I would like to be present when he did the work. He asked me if I was going to tell him how to do his job. Maybe somebody should, because he could use some tips. I offered the option of a refund, to which he agreed. After a week and a half, I called him again to see if he had sent the check. He told me he had put it in the mail on Monday, and also quipped with a snide comment. I still have not received any sort of refund, an offer to fix the problems, or even an apology. I asked him what he was going to do about the over-spray left on my cedar fence, lattice, landscaping timbers, air conditioner, and it's pad, but have not heard anything. It seems he is avoiding my calls. Based on my experience with this man, he appears to be a scammer and a hack.

I have no affiliation in the driveway business whatsoever. I just happened to be behind him and saw what I saw. This guy sent me all kinds of internal yelp mails calling me a liar. Honest to God's truth - I watched the driver of this truck pitch a whole bags worth of garbage out of the driver's window. I am not sure what this guy's problem is, but denial is clearly his only response. A simple apology would have gone a long way, but he chose another path. I would seriously avoid doing business with him if this is any indication of how he is to deal with.

When the owner of Leon came to repair this he left it partially removed which was not per the directive between francisco and I. the other partial owners of the business dealt with Ivan and we were left with a partial repair. I was ignored requesting further repair and they refused to make the situation whole. after two we the. Found excess concrete from the perimeter of the drain in the bottom of the drains and they refused to continue make the repair of the initial situation and post finding. While the rest of the parking lot is fine, I would not recommend using this company due to their follow up inability. I had even offered to pay for the repair
