While JJ wasn't the lowest, they were the most comprehensive. For example, all of the other quotes quoted the shingles and work, but JJ Construction quoted shingles, tiles, gutters, and all hardware (new fans/vents/gutters). They are highly skilled. They did not rush the project (who wants a roofer who rushes?) and cleaned up every day. Communication was excellent. They installed Class 4 shingles, which lowered my home owners insurance by 20%. Avoid at all costs…read more We paid TAR $16,000 for a full replacement of our flat roof and within a week were getting stains on our ceiling during rain when we had never had leaking before. We gave them 7 opportunities over the course of an entire year to come out and fix the issue and each time their "fix" made the leaks worse. They gaslighted us consistently saying the roof wasn't the problem and had us chasing down other issues like tuckpointing, plumbing, sliding door replacements etc and nothing helped. The damage eventually got so bad that we needed a restoration company to come open up the ceiling in 3 rooms. We finally hired a second company to do another full replacement and haven't had a single issue since then. TAR refused to take any accountability or refund us any money. All told we are out over $40,000 thanks to TAR.

We ended up with them for a few reasons: - Their quote was competitive - They were able to spray paint the interior trim with our existing paint color - They were able to match the exterior trim as closely as possible to our windows outside - Anthony at Siding & Windows Group was very responsive We placed the order on August 22nd, which is my bday. I can't say new doors was what i wanted for my bday, but i guess this is being a homeowner in your 40s. The new doors weren't installed until November 6th and we just hoped for no big storms and got lucky. Anthony checked in a few times on when they'd be installed and pushed it back a few days due to other projects. The actual installation took about a day, which wasn't too bad. A week later they came to spray paint, which honestly seemed like a much bigger project than installing the doors. That took 2 days and went smoothly, although there was a little confusion about them not knowing what color to paint, etc. It turned out beautifully and while the doors look very similar to our old doors I like the look of these even better. The exterior finish isn't a perfect match, but i think a big part of that is our old paint on our windows as faded. One day we'll touch it all up, but for now we're looking forward to a break in paying for anything for the house. I learned there are a lot of companies in the area for new windows/doors, but we were satisfied with this one and would use them again.
