We recently had some fencing work done. The project turned out beautiful. It all started out with Lalo coming out to look over the project and putting together the estimate. Lalo was prompt and attentive to what we wanted to accomplish. We had some old wrought iron fences an either side of our house that we wanted to replace with something that fit our style. We settled on a metal post design with horizontal would boards. We were so happy with the price, I spoke to Lalo about adding some additional fencing to run along side our driveway for some added privacy. When it came time to execute, things got a little rocky. I do think the communication between us and the office could have been better. But, ultimately A1's field personnel ( Justin and Omar [I hope I got the name right] ) saved the day. After approx 3 weeks and a few calls on my own to follow up. A1 Fence (Ed) was incapable of even quoting a 3'-4' vinyl fence with two gates. The quotes guy Ed, was absolutely terrible. He blamed his suppliers for not getting back to him. He has zero initiative. I will say that the receptionist was very good and very kind and very apologetic about Ed's poor performance. I'm now back to ground zero and starting all over again due to Ed at A1 Fence not being able to do his Job!!! Very Sad!!! I would never recommend A1 Fencing to anybody. No sense in pursuing someone to perform work for you, that obviously their quotes people aren't capable of handling to get you a quote. But instead of admitting his shortcomings , he immediately passed it all off on his suppliers not responding back to him. I have no idea what their work is like. I wanted a quote on some work and someone called immediately. They said they could come by the next day between 9am and 1pm (a 4 hour window!!!) like they're the freaking cable company. UHhhmmmn.. They offered no way to actually hone in the time around already scheduled meetings, just that they'd call 30-45 minutes before they showed up.... This sort of scheduling doesn't work with working people's schedules. I wish I could have gotten a quote but the inflexibility is a bit mind boggling for a local business. read more

This company has no idea what communication with it's customers mean ! Have left us high and dry with no fence/gate to our back yard (so no security or privacy, and as we have dogs it's been a nightmare ). Then come do a bit of work (like removing the gate to our back yard) then take off to what we presume is another job they have going on. We call and call their office, no one answers, no one calls us back. The actual workmen who come out are great, but the company sucks . We have unfinished work on a fence in our front yard down to the street, and unfinished fence one side of our house and the other side they took off our original gate and now nothing but our back yard wide open for anyone to walk into ! Would never recommend them to anyone, and feel sorry for their employees who have to deal with upset costumers when the fault lies with their company not communicating and not getting the work finished. read more

Forgot an entire side of the wall on the estimate and was a Trump supporter and we are a mixed race family, who is inclusive and tolerant of ALL people so we cannot rightly patronize this business. I am so so happy with my experience. I originally had fencing work done by an unlicensed contractor who's job didn't hold up for even a few months. He put in three wooden fence gates, two 12 foot double doors, one about 5ft single door. One windy storm and my gates didn't hold up. After not being able to get a hold of the previous contractor I came to A1 fence. Eli came over and was so amazing. I really wish I would have come to A1 in the first place. I was so comfortable with Eli and his knowledge. He reviewed my fencing problem, explained exactly why the previous work didn't hold up, and educated me on what would be best for my needs. He stayed in contact with me through text and emails as we planned out a date to start the repairs and price. His team came out to repair my fences and were also just as pleasant to have at my home. They call you to alert you when they are coming over, they are respectful of the property, and they did a really great job. The difference in my fences from last week to today is remarkable. Unlike the previous job now they function the way you'd expect them to. I am so happy that they are secure and already survived some strong winds. If you have a choice, I would pick A1 fence or at least someone who is licensed and will stand up for the work they provide. I was out of town when "the fence incident" happened. I heard nightmare bid stories because it was said to be very difficult and would be very expensive to repair. I persevered and looked up fence repair and was I Immediately drawn to A1. Their ad gave me the feeling they knew what they were doing and would repair at fair price - and not pumping up the price due to the "difficulty" and NOT try to bait and switch due to same. My intuition was right on. They came out, assessed the situation and gave a bid well within reason. The very next morning two very courteous and knowledgeable young men came out to do the repair. They even noted an additional issue with the gate and alleviated that problem. Just the smallest thing but it all works beautifully now! It is functioning better than it has in years. Fence repaired with gate fixed so it is now a "two-fingers" operation whereas before it was a full body a action to operate . Lol. Thank you A1 for such amazing service! I salute you and your employees who came to perform the task. They are not very professional and unorganized. It was an extremely lengthy process from the first quote to the completion of the project (May to July for a 5 ft fence). The fence was repaired poorly the first time and I had to request they come back. They gave me an excuse (due to a neighboring fence which was understandable) however for the price we were paying the job was not going to cut it. I had to request they come up with a better solution to ensure the fence would be sturdy and hold. I am not the expert, they are and they should have exhausted all options prior to saying the job was complete. While the staff was nice, the process of this whole thing did not sit right. No shows to appointments with no calls to reschedule, a lengthy process, poor work, and too much stress for a simple job. Unfortunately there are not many companies who handle the vinyl materials needed for my fence, but will definitely be looking for another company if I need a repair in the future. read more

Spoiler: Find another company. Long version: First sent a quote request over a week ago via their website. I waited two days with no call. I then called the company on Wednesday, scheduled an appointment for a quote on Friday. Thursday they called to say they would give me a heads up 30 min prior to arriving. After about an hour past appointment time on Friday, had not heard from them so i decided to give them a call. They gave me some odd excuse about their sales guy being AWOL and they would need to reschedule to Monday. I said thats fine. Monday came and went, no call, i called them and left a voicemail to call me. Tuesday is today, I called, decided not to leave message and I am now finding a different company.
