My side gates lock and door needed to be repaired. Looking at a variety of different companies on Yelp, we decided to call Western Door and Gate on a Monday morning. We spoke to the receptionist and she was able to give us an appointment for the next day after, on a Tuesday. She had provided a rough estimate of $95.00 per hour worked. The workers had called approximately 5 minutes prior to arrival on Tuesday. The two team members were friendly! I had the showed them the side gate and they knew exactly what to do to fix it! Within an hour, the Western Door and Gate team had fixed the gate. They had to bolt down the lock and lift the gate a few inches up from the ground, bolt the door back in with new bolts. Worst customer service ever! I have been trying to get a garage door opener repaired for over a week. I am so disappointed with them. They don't go when they were supposed to go. Over a week for them to assess the situation. They were supposed to repair it today, nothing, crickets, crickets. For the past 3 hours, cannot even get someone to answer the phone. Then at 4:30 my call is finally forwarded to their "on call service person" who has no access to the information I need tonight. I get to call them at 7:30 tomorrow morning to see if they did the repair on this vacant property. I will never ever use this company again. read more

My side iron gate did not open or close very easily without a lot of force. Basically I had to kick it to open it or slam it hard to close it. I contacted Matthew through Yelp and he was very helpful. He gave me the option of being taught over the phone how to adjust the hinges myself. But I didn't really know what I was doing and just wanted to pay the hourly rate for them to do it for me. The two men came right on time and it only took ten minutes. And they were nice enough to do an additional quick, minor adjustment of my double iron gate on the opposite side of the house. Western Door and Gate is a well organized and professional contractor. I called over a week ago to set up an appointment the girl taking my info on the phone didn't know much or couldn't even answer some basic questions then she said someone will call me to make an appointment to come out fix my iron front gate a week later still no call from them. Obviously this kind of small jobs don't interest them at all. Don't waist your time call someone else. read more

Just needed a couple keychain remotes for condo complex I live in. contact Matty, and he was extremely helpful I brought in my remote so he could verify that is was the correct 12pin older Genie type they have nice test panel set up where he can perform the check on the remote signal there Matty also helped me to program an extra Genie remote that I purchased from Home Depot bought 2 keychain remotes from them they were pretty reasonable, work great will be contacting them for work on rolling shutter soon thanks guys!!! read more

Recent experience with Western Gate was very good to excellent. While it took two trips and a different receiver than originally used to repair our patio gate opener the second tech did a lot of research and corrected the problem. If you have a remote that "buzzes" the locking mechanism to allow the gate to be opened this is the company to call when you need service or repairs. The original lasted 10 years and Western still had access to that particular receiver. I called this company on Monday and left a message advising that I am looking for a quote for a pool fence. Never heard back from anyone. Called back on Tuesday, the lady who answered claimed she never got my message and put me on the phone with Bryan. He asked me to send some pictures of my existing fence that I am trying to replace to get an idea what they were looking at. I sent the pics immediately. On Thursday I was still waiting for the quote and after emailing Bryan again I was told the following: "The information has been given to our fabricators to provide me with pricing. Once they give the info back, I'll have the proposal sent over. Hoping by the end of the day." It has now been a week since my first call and I still have no quote. If my business is unwanted it would be better to be up front immediately and not waste my time so I can start the process elsewhere. I'm am not impressed! read more

I called Western Door and Gate on August 23rd to come re-install a security door. This company is in disarray their customer service and communication is horrible. It's been 30 days later multiple emails. Receptionist telling me they have only 1 person quoting Brian who has 1k quotes to donny himself and they do not have enough people to do the jobs. It's my fault I should have given up here but I didn't. At this point I have invested 3 weeks and they are promising me to handle it. We own and run 3 retails small busienss and volunteer 20 hours a week so for me to meet another company with a 2 hour window just sucks. So finally I get a quote with just the door not the additional work the first quote had. Then I call back to get an appointment o explain my frustration and my schedule is right they tell me Wednesday 20th 7am. Today they are supped to be here 7pm. I've called twice left a message but no call back, just called again and the same not nice woman Marissa answered said they will be here in 5 MJ ties that was 7:50. They just showed up at 8am when we have to leave in 30 minutes. Now let's see if they brought new hinge. NOPE the repair crew didn't have anything they where told to just show up. I've now wasted 3 hours and a lots of negative energy on this very simple door install. Do not use this company if you value your time and peace of mind. read more

I called several companies before finally getting an answer at Western. They had a technician in my area and he was at my home in 30 minutes. Called them about getting a quote for a complete installation, tech came out and took some measurements and said the door size was non standard and no room inside garage to install opener components. He suggested I look into getting a roll up door, so I asked for a quote on that. He said he would get back to me, two days go by and I call their office. They said, "Oh let me look into that, I'll call you back". Never heard from them. I believe they are more interested in simple repairs than real installation projects. read more

Last weekend, my garage door would only go up partway and was making some pretty questionable sounds besides. The business listed the sticker on my garage door was no longer in business, so I tried Western Door and Gate. I called at 9 in the morning and they said they could have someone out to look at it between 3 and 5. The repairman showed up a little after four, took one look inside the garage and said that it was a broken spring. He said he had the tools and could fix it right then -- $295. The work was done in about twenty minutes. He also offered me a garage door remote ($38) and since I had lost one of the two I had, I was happy to add that on. read more

Called them and they said they would be out between Noon and 2:00PM on Wednesday April 15. Around 1:20PM that day I called and they told me the tech was running late and it would be 2:30-3:00. It should not be up to the customer to have to call to find out their committed time could not be met. The business should be aware enough of their scheduling status to proactively call the affected customer(s). They did show up around 2:30 and said I needed a new door. I wanted to have the work completed by 1:00 PM Friday. They said they had no openings until Friday morning. The original doors had been painted by the builder, so the replacement would have to be painted as well. I suggested to the technician that was out that he drop off the door parts on Thursday that way I can have them painted and dried before he installs them on Friday morning. He said that would work and he would do so. A little after 1:00 PM I received a call from a "Kevin" who said they were very busy and would not be able to drop it off on Thursday. In a service business if an authorized representative of a company makes a commitment, it should be honored. In this case it was not - twice. May 1 2015 =================================================== Unfortunately, the spring on our second door broke on a Friday. I called Western Door and Gate, but they couldn't get out until Monday. I called another place and they came out within the hour. This isn't a knock against Western as they must be plenty busy. read more

Have had multiple issues with my garage door. The first 2 times I had someone out I chose the cheapest prices I could find. I paid them over $400 to fix the issue, which they diagnosed differently every time. Finally called Western on the advice of a friend. Their prices were middle of the road but they diagnosed the problem within 2 minutes and fixed it once and for all. Wouldn't dream of using anyone else!! Great service, friendly people. read more
