We have our lights, various appliances, and other smart home devices already hooked up to Alexa, but I could NEVER get a smart thermostat installed and working properly. I was unsuccessful at installing one myself, my old heating & cooling guys couldn't get one working, and an electrician we hired couldn't get one working. I was told that something was wrong with the configuration in our furnace's wiring, or alternatively, the smart thermostat we purchased was a lemon. I had to settle for running up and down the stairs, flicking the heat controller back and forth between "heat" and "cool" manually, depending on whether I needed the furnace or the central air conditioning. With the constant wild swings in Edmonton's temperature all throughout the Spring, it was a major pain to keep resetting the thermostat manually when the rest of our smart home was so automated. Recently, when our old thermostat started wearing out and malfunctioning, I thought I'd give the installation of a smart thermostat another shot. I carefully researched the reviews, and saw that Trust Home Comfort came highly recommended. They seemed to have a lot of experience in upgrading old-style thermostats to electronic smart home systems. I'm happy to report that I was not disappointed! My first discussions with Van were great. He understood exactly what we wanted, he sympathised at my frustrations with our previous attempts to convert to a smart thermostat, and he assured me that Trust Home Comfort could solve the problem. He promised to send his best, most experienced installer (Kang). I got an appointment immediately for two days from the day of booking, which was enough time to get the thermostat brand and model he suggested (ecobee), after I asked him for his recommendation. Amazon supplied the thermostat through next-day delivery through ecobee's Amazon store, and the installer showed up the very next day after, on-time-to-the-minute of the booking we made, to install the device. (I should also mention that Trust Home Comfort has a sophisticated computerised appointment booking and billing system, so reminders are sent out via email in a timely way before the appointment, and billing is detailed and easy-to-pay online). To make a long story short, Kang was able to immediately identify the simple wiring problem that hexed us all these years, preventing us from installing a smart thermostat sooner. At one stage years ago, our humidistat control was moved to the furnace room by our old heating and cooling guy, and the wiring of the old humidistat left behind from the old location was confused with one of the power wires needed to power-up a smart thermostat. The correct wire was quickly relocated by Trust Home Comfort's technician, and the smart thermostat was up and running in no time! The old manual thermostat worked because it didn't need external power, but when previous heating companies and electricians tried to hook up a smart thermostat to the (dead) "power wire", it naturally couldn't power-up because the old humidistat wire, although the same colour as the correct external power wire, wasn't powered. Trust Home Comfort figured out what the problem was, and fixed the problem immediately. Their experience and ability to troubleshoot problems quickly proved they were a sound choice to install our new smart thermostat. The billing was detailed, fast and very reasonable. They did exactly what they promised to do, and today the smart thermostat is working EXACTLY as it should. Their technician was experienced, and set everything up exactly as we wanted. What more could I have ask for? I can't recommend Trust Home Comfort enough! Needless to say, they are our new, permanent service provider when it comes to any home heating or cooling solutions.

They got ATCO out and was told it was an issue with the motor. We were calling companies and most either were too busy to answer or weren't able to come out for at least 2-3 days. Well, just our luck that Furnace Solutions answered the phone and the guy I spoke with said they could get someone that evening to my parents' house. He got the information and when I got more information about the issue, I called back but received a full voice message. I sent a text with the information. It wasn't even the evening and my parents got a call that the tech would be arriving soon. Marty replaced the motor but advised a new furnace would be needed, which we agreed with. We knew the furnace was on its last legs and did not feel my parents were being told this for a sale of a new furnace. The sales guy, Jamie, called and said he could come that evening but we weren't able to meet him there so we arranged for a visit a few days later. That's job dedication he was willing to stop by on a Saturday evening! They are really great about calling if they are running late, or letting the customer know about what time they would be arriving. Jamie was a little later than the scheduled time but he called to let me know. He was friendly and asked questions and provided information. He showed us the Trane furnaces and the ones that he would recommend. The amount on the previous invoice from the motor replacement would be put towards the new total. It was also great they offered no tax for a senior's discount. They were initially going to come the next day to install the furnace but due to a personal issue, they came the following day. Not a big deal for us as a two day turn around is pretty good. I was not there on installation day but it seems they did a diligent job and removed the old furnace and installed the new one without any issues. I'm glad that we found a great company in a time of urgency when we just wanted any company to fix the issue so my parents would have heat during the cold snap. Would recommend this company and it's great they are 24 hours too!

I found their service to be honest and truthful and efficient, with the service I had received it was evident that they take and look after their customers. The duct cleaning service man indicated to them that the switch in my humidifier was not working. 2. So I had to book another call (with another service call fee added which I was not pleased about -but they did give a 5% reduction) 3. Second time out the service guy (a different one) came out to look at the furnace (said all was good) and then he looked at the humidifier explaining my switch needed replacing. So once again another service call to book with them which I did with Heather. Apparently the service guy "did not carry the Aprilaire switch part. A quote of $200 was set to me which I approved because I did not want to spend another service call fee for the third visit. 3. The appointment reminder (for the third appointment) email was incorrect. The service call was to be for 11 am- the reminder said 1 am. I dismissed it with a laugh thinking it was just a "typo"- they meant 11 am. 4. I texted the repair service guy reminding him he was to come at 11 am. He texts back no "it is 1 pm". 5. I called Heather and explained my dissatisfaction that the appointment was for 11 am and that three service calls to replace a broken humidifier switch (which should have been sorted out the second time after sending pictures of the model of Aprileair 500) is ridiculous. I then sent her via email the incorrect reminder they sent me of my appointment time. 6. They emailed me back to cancel the appointment. Moral of the story.....go elsewhere - there are many other services that are better. They do not schedule appointments correctly and when they are called out on their BS and errors they just cancel you. Unprofessional and incompetent.

Apparently Kelvin values his time at $1100/hour since he charged me $550 for 30 minutes of drain snaking (and a $25 bottle of chemfax strike). I asked for a breakdown of charges and an invoice. The breakdown he told me verbally differed from the invoice he sent, so I know he's making up numbers. I'll be sure to share my experience whenever someone asks for a plumber recommendation.

My dryer vent was supposed to be cleaned and was not done. The process took about 15 minutes. That blew air from a hose into the vents and then over charged me. They also have a tip option on the machine. I decline a tip. No one tips me to do my job. Now I will need to have another company clean my vents. His service tech Jackson was friendly but incompetent. In hindsight he was sketchy and I should have watched him like a hawk but I try to let people work. Offered him a coffee and everything. I can't say he was malevolent in his actions but they appear that way to me. Incompetent at the very least. My entire house was / is currently covered with very fine dust. I mean everywhere. I can't sleep in my own bed. My family can't come here until it is cleaned and I am having a tough time finding cleaners with immediate availability. I complained to Roger on Saturday and they "refunded" the $200 I paid them to coat my house in fine dust. I followed up with Roger on Oct 8th 2019 regarding the issue indicating that I wanted my home cleaned. To Roger's credit he showed up same day and tested the air quality which indicated poor with high particulate levels especially in my room where I cannot sleep. He kept saying "So what do you want me to do about it?" and I said make it clean. He would flip flop between "We provided the service you hired us for". Yes. My vents are clean, thanks guys. I told Roger I wanted to have him pay for a furnace cleaning by another company and a cleaner. Above and beyond the hours of cleaning I have already personally done. He kept going back to proof of air quality before the cleaning and that he could not verify the quality of my air. He will blame the quality on the renos that I am doing or my broken humidifier. I have a $1200 HEPA air filter that I run constantly, so the 3700 PPM dust readings in my bedroom ARE without a doubt in my mind, a direct cause of Ducts Unlimited. Just another incompetent company. After him telling me he has lots of time and money for legal battles, I will be cleaning it myself. Thanks for less than nothing.
