Today he replaced my water bib/faucet as it was leaking freezing into a waterfall outside my house. Last winter he came out when it was -40 and my furnace stopped working even though it was late at night! I've referred loads of family and friends to Todd (-& company) and everyone is always thrilled. This past summer he saved my friend $8k+ when another company had said they needed to replace their AC (that wasn't working) for their 4000 sq foot bungalow (yikes)! The plumber we dealt with for many years seems to be under new management because they wouldn't install something not purchased at their shop. They won't get any more of my business as well as all the plumbers who won't do a small job like mine. I found Adrian through Yelp and he showed up the next day at the promised time. (How long has it been since that happened to you?) He also honoured his quote even though it took more time than he estimated plus he gave us a senior's discount (YAY!!!). He takes VISA, a service that sometimes small businesses skip.The sink was left squeaky clean. He soon figured out that the blockage was on the city's main line and a serious one that could potentially impact more than just our home. Troy had me call the city and request help through the fire department. While my husband used the wet vac to haul out gallons of sump water and pour them into the toilet, I navigated the AI reception and got a call back from a real person who said a plumber would be there in half an hour. Francisco arrived on schedule and used a pump to drain many gallons out of the sump well, and let us know it hadn't been a backup but a failure of unknown cause. He replaced the sump punp and added an alarm, which we should have done before but forgot to after the last service. He was pleasant and reassuring and cleaned up after himself meticulously. We got to work cleaning up the water encroachment. The bill was about what we expected for an emergency service with an install included and I think the alarm was added without charge. These things happen and no one likes them, but this went about as smoothly as any emergency home relair we've encountered this far in twenty five years at this location.

He did provide pictures via text. We managed to tell the tenants how to flush the drains. Everything is working now. The quote was inflated and unnecessary.

We were able to wait until the morning to avoid the middle of the night call out. Ricardo promptly came out and inspected our dinosaur furnace and told me the bad news - broken ball bearings and holes throughout. Ricardo did a temporary fix to keep it partially running while we d schussed options for a new furnace with Curtis. All correspondence was answered promptly via email and Curtis was available by phone as well. A-1 offered to loan us free heaters in the interim as well. We ended up going with a 2 stage high efficiency and an AC coil for future AC install. The quotes were provided via email with links directly to the Bryant website to view the most current information. I can't remember the name of the next gentleman who came out but he was on time and professional. We were really happy from start to finish with the service received. Never debt pressures to buy bigger or more expensive items and things were explained to me in a way I could understand. There were a few hiccups when all was said and done but everything was handled with grace and I feel confident in the service received. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Curtis or his crew for any of your heating or cooling needs. PS locally owned and operated in St. A for +40 years! PPS When my 5 year old needed to go potty today and we were in the strip mall next door, we popped over and were greeted with a smile and a cheerful yes to letting my son use the washroom (which is a big thumbs up in my books!)
