Showed up a day late, but when finally arrived, quickly fixed, evaluated system for me, and gave me some operating/maintenance advice.

Polar guys gave me a great quote for their Lennox system and had it installed in less than a week. The newbunit replaces an original equipment that was 20 yrs old and had r22, now outlawed . After installing they cleaned up the old parts which we are very appreciative. Polar did great and the ms and I are happy once again. Cant wait for warmer weather to try out the ac. read more

I had Mitchell's come in to do two pieces of work over this spring (2018) for me and they were super thorough all times. My husband remarked that they are so polite and nice. They are priced very fairly in the marketplace. Again, let me say that they are very, very thorough and they painstakingly answered all of my (many) questions (I like to understand things). 1. Duct work repair and sealing - I had Mitchell's repair and seal three duct leaks and removed some unused duct work. Corey showed me the photos on his phone so that I could see where they made their repairs. 2. Spring Maintenance + Added Condensate Pan under blower (with floater) -- They came in to add the condensate pan that my blower needs (and didn't have for some reason) and they added at that time a shut-off floater in case the pan ever gets filled with water. They performed the spring maintenance on my A/C condenser units. Those units were dirty and overcharged with coolant. Corey and Edward were very thorough and explained to me how those units are supposed to be maintained. I'm going to get them to do some additional duct work in the fall when they come in to do the heating season maintenance. read more

A1 did a fantastic job of diagnosing our a/c problems . He was thorough and told us what the problems were. Did not try to install parts we didn't need .he showed us the parts that needed changing . I give this 1 star ONLY because, Talin and Noah, had arrived at my apartment providing me with the greatest customer service and professionalism that they naturally posses. Now, with Mr. Ken Mitchell and his employee Cody or Corey, they can go to the furthest accessible point in the known universe and stay there. I had a scheduled appointment yesterday from 8am to 12pm, confirmed by my landlord at 7:30 am. At 8:30 am I relocate my self to my living room, which would allow me to listen for the door. Long story short, here it was 2pm and no one showed up. I open my door to find a business card fall on ground. I call Ken directly and he tells me that they have to reschedule for tomorrow morning because his tech informed him that no one was home. I tell him that I have been home ALL day next to my door and I haven't heard any door knock, ladder, or anything since 8:30am. Ken defends his tech telling me that he don't think that his tech would lie to him. I inform Ken that I am sitting in my apartment, over 95°, waiting for someone to come fix the AC unit and that my wife has asthma and cannot continue to be here without air. Ken decides to argue with me and refused to send anyone back and hangs up on me. I'm beyond pissed off at this point, because of the ignorance and disrespect he had shown. I call my landlord and he informs me that Ken is going to have someone here in 30 minutes. When Talin and Noah show up, they were awesome and deserve a better person to work for. Their boss, Ken, has them come from Sandy Valley to N. Las Vegas to find out what is going on. They do their job above and beyond expected and was extremely satisfied with there service. Although my situation has not been fixed and still have no air, it is currently out of their hands and im dealing with my landlord. As for the disrespectful actions of Ken and his tech, I would not recommend them to wave a church itinerary as a fan to cool anyone off. read more

Just noticed that this company made a charge on my credit card for Annual maintenance of $490.00 back on 1-1-2020. I had used them in 2019 and they were okay in response and ok in repairs (still having issues in casita after replacing circuit board at $400.00 +). Was going to try another company for maintenance in 2020, tried many times to reach A1 Mitchell, leaving several messages. Never heard a peep from them. Extremely bad business behavior. I never signed the annual contract but they felt they had the right to charge me for repeat business. Dishonest and not too friendly in past conversations with the owner. Showed up when they said they would. Masks in hand. Did what they could working with AHS. When they got the go-ahead from AHS we were next and the HVAC was fixed. Cory came to the house first and identified the problem. Talin got to our house with the part, and mask, told me how long he would be, and got right to it. It was over 100 degrees outside. The job took about three hours. There was one more guy. I am so sorry, I don't remember his name. He came with Cory. He was delightful. Wow. If you need HVAC repairs, use the "Montana Boys." We lost our heat and had a company come in through our home warranty service. They 'fixed' the furnace which was good for a couple of days. We called the service back and the "Montana Boys" came out. Father and son. Very personable. Not only did they repair the 'repair,' but they cleaned up the mess others had left in attic. Then, they did something I had never seen. They ask for paper towel and cleaner and cleaned the finger prints off of the attic access door in our bedroom closet. They rewired everything properly. Cannot recommend them highly enough. read more

A1 Mitchel replaced my air conditioner thru our home warranty company. The installers left without putting a filter in our brand new $7,000 unit. I called for over a month to rectify because the filer measurements are in 1/2 inch units, and that is not available in any store. I called for over a MONTH only to get voice mail (for a month). When I finally reached someone they were very apologetic and said someone would come right away to fix the problem. That didn't happen so I called again, only to get voicemail. This is a multistate company that runs a business from a cell phone. Eventually the owner called and said he was sorry and it would be handled immediately, which didn't happen. Long and short, they demanded I call the home warranty company to put in a work request. This costs $75, and they will get paid for a service call. That means they wouldn't finish the job unless I pay $75 and they get paid for a service call from the warranty company. I would have done it myself, but the measurements for the filter or not available in a store, so I bought a filter that is too big, but rests on the top of the unit. They refused to finish a $7k job over a $5 filter unless I pay $75 so they can get paid for a service call. I cannot recommend this company under any circumstances. My brand new unit ran for almost 2 months without a filter because they refused to finish the job unless I paid more money. read more

This is the second time we were forced to use this company through our home warranty service. We have had the same problems both times. Their communication is awful. No one ever answers the phone at their business and therefore you can not know when they are coming. Today we were given, in a written email, a 4 hour window that they would be arriving. They failed to show up. I called two phone numbers for them. No answer. I contacted warranty company and they apologized and said they were running late. Then the office called and no, they weren't late, the email I had was wrong! The rude lady started insisting that they called us (they hadn't) and the time was different from I had been given in writing. When I pointed out that this was a problem between them and the warranty company she began to speak over me and then tell me I wasn't listening. I then heard that the tech had tried to call. (If he did he didn't leave a message so that his call could be returned). Three different excuses, along with crappy customer service is why I would warn you to stay away. read more

Barbara has very poor customer service skills and would rather make excuses for their piss poor communication. They supposedly have a dispatcher who calls clients but we never recieved a call yet Barbara argued we had. Being in the Vegas area I would deffinately use a different companies services unfortunately the home warranty company contracts with these people. read more

So finally the owner contacted me, placed a lot of blame on other companies and too much business with not enough help. These shouldnt be my problems though, but they got the compressor in about 2 to 3 days after talking to the owner. His son, Corey came out and did a great job. Super nice guy and very knowledgeable. If it wasnt for the problems I had with waiting two weeks and the lack of care in the front office, I would use Corey everytime I need help done. Would give him 5 stars, cant give the company any more than 3 after the way I was treated for two weeks. read more

This is an update of my review 5 /10/17. This morning I was contacted by the owner and it was explained to me that there was a misunderstanding on their end . The the tech that they sent out was new to their business and that they were going to reduce the price that they charged me yesterday( they had overcharged me by $30) and that they were going to work with me on getting the rebates that I tsought when I first contacted them. The worst customer service we have ever experienced from any company of any kind. Our AC system stopped cooling so we called for service. Had to call the office 2 times to finally get on a schedule for a service. System was recharged with refrigerant, and it worked for a week. Called again, and 3 days later a second technician came out and said they would need to look a the unit in the dark to identify the leak. 2 days later, the original technician came out at 5 pm, full daylight and showed us a picture of the leak. If it could have been identified in daylight, why not the 1st visit?? He left and said the office would call the next day with a quote to repair or replace the unit. As of today, a week later, not any communication. We called again for an update and asked for Ken the owner, to call and explain the lack of response from his company. As a property manager, and home inspector, we have used them in the past, and referred them to countless of our own customers. They have clearly grown to a horrid level of incompetence. It would appear the "Boys from Montana" should go back there, where AC is not so critical as in our valley. read more

Big rip off they send me an e-mail saying that nv energy has a program that will pay for checking my a.c. for free to work properly so the coolant won't be blowing in the attic. So I said if is free ok. My air conditioner was working fine. after they came it was not Working at all they told me I needed to replaced a new duct that the air was just blowing in the attic. So I asked them how much it would cost me he said he was going to get back to me. And I waited a whole day in he'll my house was so hot my dog was panting very bad I felt like I was having a heat stroke. And he would not return my calls arou d 6 pm he send me a text saying to call my home warranty for them to come to recheck it again. Wich means I have to pay a fee for him to come again. Bad business they are not honest. I regret to agree to take the offer now I have to pay the fee and it might not be covered by my insurance. Shame on this company. carma is a bitch read more
