What was most upsetting is that when we politely asked for the music to be turned down, the request was ignored and treated like a joke. Staff appeared amused rather than concerned. In a space that serves medical patients and promotes wellness, that lack of empathy and basic consideration is simply wrong. To make matters worse, the store is now under new ownership and none of my information was in their system anymore--not my medical recommendation and not even my personal ID, both of which had been on file previously. Compassion means listening, accommodating, and treating people with respect. When customers can't communicate and their concerns are dismissed, that's not compassionate care.
