This is absolutely the best place to get all your yard needs! I am a home-owner, not a landscaper or commercial vendor. So I rather shop here than in the big box stores. A1A has a variety plants, rocks, soil, pots for a variety of applications. I bought several plants today (7/11/16) and I was very pleased with the total. I think their prices are more than fair for quality of selection. The grounds are very well kept and organized; making easy to find things. We've been shopping here for about 10 years. Since they were in the corner of US1 n 288th St. We used to go there at least twice a month until a couple of months ago that prices have drastically gone up. Their service is very good but the prices are ridiculous. read more

Called in to get some Marble chip and they told me to come in. Once I get there I'm told that they don't have any. The person at the front desk was very dry and rude and didn't show any type of initiative to help. First time coming here and will definitely never come back. I recommend if you are looking for anything for your garden to look elsewhere because this place is horrible.Do not come here! read more

If you want work done by them. Don't expect an answer or quote. I've sent several emails called several times trying to reach anyone to quote me on a living fence. I've gotten emails of "I'm sorry we will be reaching out" but nothing. A month goes by and still no contact. ** If you are an English speaking person, be aware that you will not be able to communicate with the driver. I just had a delivery from A1A Sod Sand and Soil. The driver would not deliver the rock into my driveway for reasons unknown, since I was unable to communicate with him. I have lived in my house for 40 years and had numerous deliveries of rock and gravel over the years. The driver would however, deliver the rock to the driveway next to my house, which is the driveway for the house behind mine. I allowed him to do that because I had my workers here waiting to spread the rock. When I called office of A1A, I was told that it was the driver's discretion whether it was safe to dump the load because of the wires above. The same wires were in both driveways, but that was not what he determined was safe. Now my men have to transport the rock from one house to the next. Would not recommend. read more

Called early in the day to see if they had ground cloth .. told them what we needed and they had to pick it up from their vendor... We live 2 hrs away. Was suppose to be ready by the time got there. . We still had to wait 30 minutes. No problem. Looked at plants bought some and other things. We bought $200 worth of plants, shovels, and a pot. They charged $299 for a 12wide foot roll, 300ft long ) We needed 5 rolls. $1495 for 5 rolls plus tax plus $48 for a "convenience charge" for using a credit card..(plus misc items)Paid and left. Went up Krome Ave to pick up more supplies, plants.. Stopped at VAS. Their price for the same roll was $165. They just filled an order for 5 rolls and just picked them up. They charged us $134 extra per roll which is $670 total that they made by going up the road 10 minutes. We called and she said that is how much it costs. So we returned the 5 rolls and got a refund and bought 5 rolls (15ft wide) of better quality and made in America! $1125 total ($225 a roll) ....from VAS ask for Carolina. I've been going to this place since they opened. Very helpful. More supplies than anywhere around and the prices are always better than Home Depot or lowes. They work with you. Know the math when your doing a project so that it comes out just right and they value their customers!!!! I call around to places like Jenny sod and theyre not only rude but they won't help you concert they're terms to yours to better understand what your buying.
