A big 5 stars for big Ron. What an amazing company of dedicated tree professionals. Not only was he able to take care of all of our basic tree needs but he also treated one of our 'sick' trees and it's now doing so well. We were so ready to give up on that tree (as a tree hugger that is so hard for me to say) but big Ron and company showed up and made magic happen. Tree saved!! The yard looked fantastic (the neighbors were very pleased that the overgrown tree mess was now neat and tidy without looking overly trimmed). We have used Big Ron's twice before to thin and prune the same tree, a large Brazilian Beauty at our home in Pinecrest. The first time was in 2017 at a cost of $275. The second was in April 2020 for $325. This week I was quoted a price of $1,500 for the same work. I expected some price escalation, but to me this was an insult. We had a multi palm tree grouping located on our back patio right next to our pool. The roots expanded and caused the stamped concrete surface to crack and peel. I hired Big Ron's to do a major trimming of oaks and other old-line tree growth that almost completely shaded our house, as well as some oaks overhanging mango trees. I was completely satisfied with the quality of the work. Colleen developed an estimate that accurately captured the somewhat complicated set of tasks that were to be performed. Just as important, when the crew arrived, the instructions were clear enough that they knew exactly what to do. The crew successfully addressed placement of equipment where access was somewhat difficult. ABSOLUTELY SUPERB JOB FROM BIG RON'S TREE SERVICE - MIAMI - Owner Big Ron and his team really came through for me this week with a HUGE problem - a blocked sewer pipe that needed to be fixed URGENTLY. Roots from a 40-year old tree had crushed the pipe. I called Big Ron Monday morning on March 25th - they came out within the hour, gave me an estimate, and then outbid 2 other competitors that also gave me estimates AND Big Ron scheduled to do the job the FOLLOWING MORNING at 8:00 A.M. Big Ron's team removed all 3 trees, hauled the debris away, grinded the stumps and cleaned up everything - job completed in 2 hours!! Since I was concerned there may be more roots deeper underground, Big Ron sent out his stump grinder guy back the next day (Wednesday) at 7:00 AM to meet the plumber and make sure enough roots had been removed for the plumber to access and replace the pipe and he ground out more roots at the plumber's request. After plumber had been digging a couple of hours, he uncovered more huge roots deeper down that he couldn't handle, so I called Big Ron AGAIN and he sent out ANOTHER stump grinder who arrived within 45 minutes with a different machine that could grind deeper in the ground. ALL THIS AT NO EXTRA CHARGE. This is a company that cares about customer satisfaction and professionally handles unanticipated problems that may arise - BIG RON ROCKS!! This company has huge powerful machines and their entire team couldn't have been more cooperative and courteous, and they were so careful not to damage too many plants which I really appreciated since I have a butterfly garden with some pretty rare plants. As a ASA certified arborist, he provided invaluable advice about the removal of some damaged and dangerous trees on a property that I own in south Coconut Grove. He referred me to an impartial arborist with risk assessment certification to make an official report, which allowed us to remove the trees without going through an arduous permitting process. Big Ron gave me a good estimate for removing a very tall foxtail, and a large tree that was dying from my property. I had to wait a few weeks, because he was booked, but it certainly was worth waiting for. They did the work so quickly and clean, everything was mulched on the spot, no garbage was left behind, the stump was ground and he provided me with a certified arborist letter for the association that the tree was dead and a danger. Prompt, professional, and reasonable. Their crew was fast, efficient, polite, and quite knowledgeable. I had them cut the part (top 2/3) of my unpleasant neighbor's tree that was hanging over my property line and dumping fronds, nuts, and other debris. They educated me on Miami-Dade tree ordinance (you can cut ANTHING hanging over your property line.) They were quick to respond, and patient with us because we couldn't do it right away. They showed up very quickly once I green lighted them. I was truly impressed by how fast they took down almost an entire palm tree with a huge shaggy head. They even cleaned up after themselves (brought along a chipper). I only wish I met them sooner, as I've spent years having crap rain into my yard from a tree on his property that hangs (or used to - Thanks Y'all) into my yard. read more

We agreed on the price and he had 2 crews (I had two separate jobs done one in the front (Tree and Stump removal) and one in my backyard which was the overgrown branches from my neighbor's tree, that came on time, no nonsense and ready to work. His staff was terrific, they took care of an extremely big job within one day, and cleaned up after themselves too!
