Stopped in, and the service person hunted around in the settings, and found a "reverse color" setting I'd somehow, inadvertently set. He undid it, and all was fine. In its short life, my iPhone 6s has survived a drop from the top of a stairwell, a sandy near death experience in the pacific ocean, being puked on by my toddler, being refrigerated for several hours (thanks, toddler) and many, many falls. Needless to say my first world came crashing down as I watched my iphone, otterbox and all hit the sidewalk at a smashingly awkward angle. Sure enough, it was cracked. Pros: Nice people, fast service. Cheaper than most competitors around and offers good discounts, especially if you're a UofM student or employee. Cons: A silver iPhone 6 front was used (my phone is gold, so now it doesn't match), and nobody was there until around 10:15 when they say online that they open at 10AM. Brought in my cracked iPhone screen to fix. Fast service, friendly technician, unbeatable price. I would never go back again though: The screen they use is thicker, heavier and lower quality than the original iPhone glass. My phone screen now freezes and becomes unresponsive for no reason. It clicks on links mistakenly when I scroll, and is overall a hassle to use. Would definitely not recommend the place. Just a very simple problem with my phone. The door that keeps the plug cover broke. My husband had the same issue a couple months ago brought it to a2 repair he fixed it in minutes and my husband had to force the guy to take some money, he did, but reluctantly, it took him 5 mins to fix. So I brought mine in today again 5 min fix, he refused to take any money. That was so nice! He insisted that between the cost of the piece and how long it took he couldn't accept anything. I cracked the glass on my Samsung S7. The touch features still worked, but the glass was badly cracked, with a couple of sharp edges. I phoned ahead to make sure that they had the right glass in stock. The repair was going to take 90 minutes, but the shop recommended that I leave the phone overnight (24 hours, in the end) so that they could leave it in the press while the glue dried. I came back the next day and it was ready. There was one tiny bit of glue on the home key and a tiny bit on the seam. The tech easily removed those. Since my phone is a year old, it now looks better than it did when I brought it in. The screen is smooth as silk and functioning perfectly. All the data survived. The charge was exactly what they told me over the phone. There was no attempt to up-sell me on any extra services or other products. read more

Got my iPhone screen repaired here last month. I thought they did a great job until now...there's another crack. I haven't dropped it at all so the replacement screen must be of bad quality. The repair is supposed to come with a 90-day warranty, which according to the paperwork I was given says: I am fully aware and understand that the repair warranty is only good for 90 days, only to the specific repair performed. So I tried to get the screen repaired again under the warranty but was told that isn't what the warranty covers. Warranty only covers if the touch screen doesn't work. Hmmm must have missed that in the fine print that isn't anywhere on the paperwork or on their site. I even referred a workmate here to have her screen repaired too. Hers cracked less than a month later too. Needless to say, I won't be back or making anymore referrals. My recommendation: just pay the extra money to have the manufacturer replace the screen. It'll probably come with a real warranty. read more

Not only is the owner the rudest man I've ever encountered, he literally destroyed my boyfriends brand new phone. My boyfriend has an iPhone X and didn't get a case when he bought it because the ones at Verizon were overpriced. Fast-forward two days and he breaks the screen after dropping it on a parking lot. He was referred to A2 repair by his coworker. While he was able to get his phone fixed in one day, the screen showed a hairline crack the very next day. He pressed to see if it was just dirty or if it was in fact a crack. The screen crack completely split how screen in half. None of the touch features work properly. The owner him it was under warranty. THAT IS A LIE. he refused to fix it and actually blames my boyfriend for the screen cracking. Talk about a vacation nightmare...I was in Ann Arbor visiting a friend and drunkenly dropped my iPhone X. The next day I did a quick search online and found A2 then headed over. The owner seemed to be rushing the process but I didn't mind at the time because I was in a rush as well. Upon receiving my repaired phone I noticed that the screen was a different thickness than the original and didn't fit perfectly which I mentioned and the owner responded in a tone that was insinuating he was annoyed by my question. I left displeased but had to get on the road back to Chicago. About an hour into the trip I picked up my phone to adjust the gps and it wouldn't respond to touch at all. None of the icons could be pressed, I couldn't swipe close the apps and essentially lost all control of the phone. I did multiple soft resets and the problem persisted. The next morning I called A2 and the owner rudely told me that it had nothing to do with his screen and was a software problem, "call Apple there's nothing I can do for you" he said. I made a Genius Bar appointment at the Apple store and waited 2 hours for them to open my phone and tell me that the malfunction was do to missing screws that attached the screen and because it was an off brand screen and screws, not apple parts, I had violated the terms of my warrantee so I had to spend ~$200 to fix it. I then called A2 and told the owner who completely dismissed me saying the screen did not crack and it had to be software AFTER I told him what Apple said, we began to argue and he then hung up on me and has refused to answer any more of my calls.
